Golden Globes 2015

Awards show:

Tina and Amy changed dresses. Tina still in black and white. Amy's a bit too tan, in that her chest is orange. Wearing purple. Tina's worn much better dresses before.

Monologue was mostly funny.

Jennifer Aniston is really tan. Presenting with Benedict Cumberbatch. Best Supporting Actor award. JK Simmons wins! For "Whiplash". Nice speech.

Miss Golden Globes dress is really pretty. Age appropriate (young and fun). Peach with gold appliques and a frothy skirt.

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan present. Best supporting actress in a series. Dakota's hair is already falling flat. And he should've trimmed the beard neater. Her silver dress is nice, though. Award goes to Joanne Froggatt for Downton Abbey. Joanne's dress is a beaded floral strapless. Very nice speech.

People move around a lot during the commercials of this party, don't they.

Jennifer Lopez and Jeremy Renner present. Her dress is silver on stage. Mini-series or TV movie. "Fargo" wins.
And now they present the Best Actor for Mini-series or TV movie. Award goes to Billy Bob Thornton for "Fargo". Clever little speech. LOL.

Colin Firth presents The Imitation Game. Motion picture, drama.

Kerry Washington and Bryan Cranston present the Best actress in a comedy award. Gina Rodriguez wins! What the what? Jane the Virgin wins already? Wow. Yay for The CW. Aww, she's crying, no surprise. Good speech.
Best TV series comedy or musical - "Transparent". That was predicted.

Interesting to see who likes to chat during the commercials.

"Jupiter Ascending" Feb 6. Yay for true sci-fi. Hope it does well.

Melissa McCarthy here to present "St. Vincent". Her dress has a pale pink blouse bodice. Motion picture, comedy or musical.

Sienna Miller and Vince Vaughn present Best original score. She's wearing a white brocade beaded gown with a pale nude skirt. Johann Johannsson wins for The Theory of Everything. First win from Iceland?

Prince presents. Crowd goes wild. Original song in a motion picture. "Glory" from "Selma". John Legend and Common wrote it. Oprah's happy! Common gives the acceptance speech, then John Legend. Oprah's crying.

Katie Holmes and Seth Meyers present. She's in deep purple. Tall girl. Non-winners will get a breakfast buffet coupon, LOL. Best supporting actor for TV series, mini-series, or TV movie goes to Matt Bomer for "A Normal Heart". He talked really fast for that speech.

Clive Owen presents The Theory of Everything. He's really sweaty. They should've blotted him before he walked out. Motion picture, drama.

Ricky Gervais presents with a wine glass. LOL. The man is passively funny. Best actress in a motion picture, comedy or musical. Winner is Amy Adams for "Big Eyes". She's surprised. Talks about Margaret Keene. Thanks her husband. Babbles in the best way. Heartfelt and genuine.

Selma Hayek and Kevin Hart present. She's in a quilted brocade silver-white dress. In heels she's taller than him, and she's tiny! Greer Grammer is Miss Golden Globe. Animated feature film category - winner is How To Train Your Dragon 2!! Yay! Loved that movie. Only one I saw so far, but still, great movie.

Kate Hudson presents Into The Woods. Whoa, she's rocking cleavage. Lot of skin on display. Motion picture, comedy or musical.

Jared Leto presents. He says a few words for France. Best supporting actress in a motion picture. Patricia Arquette for "Boyhood". Jared's white tux is wrinkled. Speech was a little long but she spoke from her heart.

Yay, The Night Shift is coming back to NBC.

Tina and Amy back with Margaret Cho. Another North Korea joke. Margaret's funny, but this brings the momentum of the show to a halt.

Kristin Wiig with short blonde hair. She's a bit orange. And Bill Hader. Best Screenplay. Skit is going too slow. Lamely funny. Wrap it up, people. Best screenplay in a motion picture goes to "Birdman".

Jack Black presents "Boyhood". 12 weeks of filming spread over 12 years. Most unique approach ever. Motion picture, drama.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Jane's in bright red and showing skin. Best actor in a comedy or musical TV series. Winner is Jeffrey Tambor. Also predicted. He's pretty moved.

"Cinderella" movie looks beautiful. March 13th.

Colin Farrel and Lupita Nyongo. Her dress has purple flowers that fade into a white skirt. She wears intense colors so well. Best foreign film goes to - Leviathan. Russia.

Kate Beckinsale and Adrian Brody present Best actress in a mini-series or TV movie. Dang, Kate is always gorgeous. How does she do that? Winner - Maggie Gyllenhaal for "The Honorable Woman". Wow, she's tall. Nice speech.

Gina Rodriguez is the only speech that's made me tear up a bit so far tonight.

Amy and Tina introduce Paul Rudd and Adam Levine. Presenting Best TV Series Drama. "The Affair" wins. New Show. Don't think anyone expected this one. Oh, Maura Tierney's in that. She looks nice tonight.

Catherine Zeta Jones presents "Pride". Motion picture, comedy or musical.

Katherine Heigl and David Duchovny. She's wearing navy. Nice! She has a great body and the dress is cut well for it. Best actor in TV series drama. Kevin Spacey wins for "House of Cards". His first win in 8 nominations. Netflix and Amazon are being rewarded for their programming choices. Kevin gets bleeped! LOL. He tells a beautiful story about making sure to tell people you appreciate their work. He always wants to be better, but this is very encouraging, so thank you very much.

What the heck is this #OdelleLives thing???

Juliana Margulies and Don Cheadle present the Cecille B. DeMille Award to George Clooney. Funny bit. Now a montage of his work. The acting, writing, direction. Back ER in 1995. Producing. Humanitarian contributions. "Tomorrowland" coming in 2015.
And now George's speech. He's honored by his friends, and the HFPA. Thank you for honoring independent films. 80% of the people in this room don't win. If you're in this room, you've caught the brass ring. Getting to do what you dream to do means you're not a loser. Awww, sweet words for his wife. And mentions the march in Paris and the world today to support Je Suis Charlie.

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris present Best actress in a TV series drama. Winner is Ruth Wilson for "The Affair". A lot of first-timers tonight. Surprising people. Speech gets a little long, as they started playing the music.

Amy Adams presents Best actor in a motion picture comedy or musical. Winner is Michael Keaton for "Birdman". Everybody knew that would happen. He's getting big cheers, which is nice. Commends and thanks his director. The cast and crew. Talks about his parents and family. 6 siblings! He's getting emotional when he mentions his son. Touching speech. Genuine, funny, heartfelt.

Tina and Amy introduce Oprah. Oprah presents "Selma". Motion picture, drama.

20 minutes left - will we end on time? Hope so!

Channing Tatum presents "Foxcatcher". Motion picture, drama.

Robert Downey Jr. presents Best motion picture comedy or musical. Winner is The Grand Budapest Hotel. Director Wes Anderson accepts the award.

Matthew McConaughey presents Best actress in a motion picture drama. Winner is Julianne Moore for "Still Alice". Silver beaded dress that gets darker toward the hem. Feathers at the bottom. Pretty diamond earrings, too. She thanks a lot of people. Short and sweet, though.

Gwyneth Paltrow presents the Best actor motion picture drama. Bright pink dress. Unique color this year. Winner is Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything. Is anyone surprised? Aww, he's genuinely surprised. Humbled. Thanks Stephen Hawking, and his cast and crew. And his wife. Aww. Music playing, gotta go.

Commercial again? Running long and you cut to a commercial? Just announce Best Motion Picture Drama already. I'm changing the channel at 8pm no matter what, people.
