"After discovering an alien city with ties to his resurrection, Coulson and his team destroyed it before the forces of Hydra could claim its secrets, eliminating the villainous Whitehall in the process. Rough seeing Trip's death again.
A boy teleporting over and over in a room. 1983: location unknown. Doors open. Old man and a woman. 14 hours since Terrigenisis. Take a breath, Gordon. His eyes are sealed shut and he can't see. Skye's mother guides him to her. Says she'll show him the way.
She and the old man discuss. She says it's the ideal age. He'll be fine. She's counseled generations through the change.
Skye in quarantine. Unable to sleep. Coulson can't sleep, either. She's thinking about Trip. Can't believe he's never coming back. He was trying to save me. Coulson says he died a hero. Once Medical clears you, you'll get out. How's everyone doing? Trying to keep busy. Dealing in their ways. Sometimes it makes you want to pack up and run. She asks if he wants to do that? Sometimes. She couldn't if she tried. Mac is back to normal. Simmons is in the tunnels with a team. After study, they'll flood the city with water. Skye asks if they found Raina's body, yet. Nope. She says we lost, we failed. Because of me! You could've blown the place! But I had to go down there and-- Coulson says we did not fail! Trip destroyed the obelisk and Whitehall is dead. Hydra is missing a head and we'll hit them before they regroup. I'll make somebody pay, whoever the hell it is.
Hydra meeting. There's a vacancy in management for this region. Cal has disappeared. SHIELD will move against us. Whomever can remove them permanently will win Whitehall's position.
A scientist is grabbed and killed in the tunnel. Raina's clawed hand.
Simmon's team. She says the walls are not load-bearing. Photograph it, mark it off. Let's flood this cursed place. Yes, ma'am. 2 of them are killed by Raina. Simmons shoots at her and she runs off.
Bobbie brings stuff for Skye. Cards, trail mix, candy bars, headphones, trashy magazines. And Cactus Cooler. Skye thanks her. Bobbie says you're a rock star.
Fitz and Mac. Fitz can't make sense of the data right now. Mac suggests tinkering. Fitz asks how he is. Mac doesn't want to talk about it. Fitz says it's not good to bottle it up. Mac's on edge. Trying to be busy. He wants to double check that quarantine is secure.
Simmons updates Coulson and May. She requests to come back to HQ and study Raina's tissue. Coulson says yes. We're going after Hydra now.
Team doesn't approve. Mac gets mad. You never ask! You just give orders. Skye's getting upset and things are shaking while Mac and May argue. Coulson says that's enough! Trip would be gearing up to do what needs to be done. I want everybody ready when the sky comes up.
Coulson will trade Bakshi with the General in exchange for wiping out Hydra. He and May drive Bakshi. She is concerned. There are leaks in the government, and with Whitehall gone, he might still be useful. A semi broadsides them!
Pushes them into a warehouse. And now they're fired at. They toss bombs at the assailants. 4 left. May goes to work. More will be coming. He pulls Bakshi out. May gets shot! And then Coulson. This isn't real...... Get in the SUV!
It was all a ruse. Bobbi follows on a motorcycle.
Mac tells Fitz. Fitz says my head is getting worse. I'm totally confused by what I'm seeing. They hear the plane land.
Bakshi calls Lighthouse. Hunter pulls a gun on him after the call. Bakshi offers him lots of money. Okay. LOL.
Simmons has blood taken from Skye and tells her about Raina. Her DNA is completely changed. We need to check that you're not infected, too. Skye says there's nothing you could've done. Simmons says yes. I should've been eradicating the powers. It's an epidemic! Trip was in fragments! It ends with him. I'll check these samples and compare them with your blood from before, just to be safe.
Cal at the docks. Raina finds him. She's covered in thorns. What the hell have I become?!
She says I was supposed to be something transcendent. Divine. Not something covered in thorns. Your thankless daughter was there and came through the mist as beautiful as ever! The bitch took what was mine! He puts her down. We've all had disappointments. But he's thrilled Skye was changed, except she's in SHIELD's hands. She needs me. Raina says you have to help ME. He says I did. You're on your own now. She says you have to fix this. He says there's no way. She says I can't live like this. I can't live as this repulsive creature. He says, then don't.
Bakshi and Hunter arrive. Bobbie gets in the car when Bakshi goes in the house. Hunter brings up the secret she and Mac has. Yeah, we have a secret. We're in a support group, okay? He laughs. She says we needed help coping. He says this is healthy and I never thought I'd say that in regards to you.
Mac apologizes to Coulson. I have trouble dealing with my anger sometimes. Simmons says this might be a plague and they should eventually be eradicated. If they have to put Raina down, it might not be the worst thing.
Bakshi and Lighthouse talk with Dr. List. Bakshi says there's a man outside that should die.
Fitz tells Skye that her heart rate was at 300BPM during the event. We found you with destruction all around you, completely unharmed. Took a while to dawn on me. You survived the destruction because you caused it. Raina wasn't the only one changed, Skye. Skye freaks out......lights shatter. Fitz runs out.
May comes to Skye. Doing okay? Yeah. Isolated and exposed at the same time. Maybe I just need a hug. Everyone fighting. Never seen Coulson so cutthroat.
Coulson visits Trip's mother.
Lighthouse enters a code to activate a protocol. Hydra agents all over.
The SUV is fired upon. Bobbie and Hunter drive away.
People die. Hydra slaughtering each other. Hunter and Bobbie kill all except Bakshi.
May notices Skye is bleeding from the broken glass. Fitz says I knocked over a lamp. He says Skye's DNA is a match to earlier and she's clear. Fitz tells Simmons to get Skye's bunk cleaned up. He goes in and works on Skye's hands. Says we should keep this between us. Keep you safe. She hugs him. This is all my fault. I'm so sorry..... Something is very wrong with me. He says no, you're just different now and there's nothing wrong with that.
Raina walks out into the middle of a street. SHIELD arrives to take her in. She says no. Kill me or I make you do it. Another Inhuman comes for her and they disappear together. It's okay, Beautiful. I'll show you the way. It's the grown-up version of the boy from the beginning, the teleporter with no eyes.
The RC car of Lola scans the room. Mac made it. What is it looking for?
The team reminisces about Trip.
Mac tells Bobbie they have confirmation of Fury's toolbox in the office. Hmmmm....
Skye says we'll laugh a lot less without Trip around.
