#Castle episode 21 recap

Ep 21:

Oceanic Air plane. Castle signs a book for a flight attendant. She says the pilot is a fan, too. A guy behind them complains. There's turbulence. It makes Castle nervous. Alexis comforts him. He looks at their itinerary in London. Alexis has plans tonight. He's not pleased. Kate Skypes in. We solves the case. The race car driver did it. Turbulence again. Then the call is dropped.

Ryan and Espo tell her it'll be fine.

Captain over the loudspeaker comforts them. Castle thinks something isn't right. None of you are smiling. Captain says we can use your assistance. The Air Marshall is missing. He sent a text to his office an hour ago, and didn't come back. They searched and can't find him. Captain has been told to lock herself in the cockpit. He says he'll help. We have to search the plane again.

Castle with an attendant. The compartment below is the only place they hadn't given a second look. There's a snake on the mother-flying plane! LOL. Castle sees clothes hanging out of bags. Someone took the clothes out and stuffed them in those....they find the Air Marshall in a big case, dead.

Castle calls Kate and tells her. The Air Marshall's gun is missing, too. She says how can I help. Castle sent her the manifest. She tells him you can do this. Start at the beginning, same steps we always take. You can figure this out. Alexis joins Castle and asks why he's down here?

Kate tells the boys I need your help.

Castle tells Alexis to keep this to herself and go back upstairs. She says she can help. I'm not going back to my seat. Go talk to the flight crew and figure out who did this.

He rejoins the attendants. Air Marshall was last seen at 11am. He was found dead at 11:35. Castle tells them to act normal. He'll talk to some honeymooners taking selfies. Pages through their pics.

Alexis on the phone with Lanie to examine the body. Examine the head wound.

Castle looking at the photos on his tablet. Alexis tells Castle that the perp is left handed. They watch a video. There's Ford, checking an overhead bin. He was checking out 26B. Manifest says it's Isadore Baldon.

Castle calls Kate again. Isadore Baldon is not the man in 26B. His passport was stolen. Castle says I think we found our killer. But he sees Castle and Alexis looking at him.

The man looks nervous now. Attendant Jim wants to detain the guy. Castle says don't, because he's not necessarily our guy. Isn't it time for another drink service?

Flight attendant collects the trash, including the man's cup. Castle gets a fingerprint and sends it to Kate.

Tori says the man is a student on the no-fly list. He's affiliated with ISIS. And sold all his stuff because he won't be needing it. They call Castle.

Castle tells Alexis to go back to first class and stay there. Castle updates the attendants. The man listened in on them. Then he locks himself in the bathroom. Castle breaks in and grabs him. He called someone to say "They know and it'll all be over soon."

Espo says Hadad called a Syrian mobile account. Castle says we can't find the gun. Kate says you'll have to interrogate him. Ryan says Hadad has a checked bag on the flight. Alexis will look for it.

Castle asks Hadad what's your plan and who are you working with? Hadad says why should I answer when I see you won't believe me?

Alexis and the senior attendant. She's worked the job for 30 years. They find the bag.

Castle tells Hadad I'm going to find out what you're up to because my daughter's on this plane and I won't let anything happen to her. Hadad says I have to get to Syria. My mother is very sick with cancer. She was the one I was talking to on the phone. He's only on the no-fly list because his stupid cousin joined ISIS. He went through proper channels and they wouldn't let him go home, so he stole a passport. His mother only has a couple weeks to live. Castle says the Air Marshall is dead and you followed him to the back of the plane and you killed him. Hadad says the Air Marshall got a bunch of texts and rushed off. 5 at least.

Alexis tells Castle the luggage is clean.

Kate and Espo say Ford has a second phone, a personal one. It wasn't on his body. Castle says the phone must've been connected to the plane's WiFi. So Tori taps in the ping it. The attendants are in position to look for someone reaching for their phone. Castle hears the phone. He and Alexis look for it. It's with the python.....no, it's on the floor. It's locked. Alexis suggests using the fingerprint. Phone unlocked. The texts threaten to take down the plane if Ford didn't meet with them in the back.

Tori says the texts were sent from a pre-paid cell. Castle says this person must've known Ford somehow. Work fast before this person makes good on their threat. Castle says we need to figure out who is left-handed. Attendant suggest passing out the customs and immigration forms.

Tori says the phone was bought a half hour before the flight.

Marilyn was fired from Oceanic Air and filed a wrongful termination suit. She lost the case. Castle and Alexis find her and discuss a plan. Castle tells her to go back to her seat. Then he spills a glass of red wine on Marilyn. She doesn't want to go back with the attendant. She opens her bag and Castle sees the gun. Marilyn wants to talk to Kyle. She says he's my boyfriend. Did he put you up to this as a joke? Castle tells her Kyle is dead. His gun was in your purse. She says know, someone must've put the phone and gun in my bag when I went to the bathroom. She says she and Kyle were supposed to go away for an anniversary, then he took this job last minute. She thought he might be having an affair. Castle can't take the chance she's telling the truth. Tells Jim to secure her downstairs.

Castle tells Alexis that something doesn't add up. She looks like the perfect suspect. Something else is going on here.

Castle talks to Kate and the boys again. Ford requested to be on the flight. And money was wired to him just before the flight. By a German industrialist. Maybe Dietrich paid Kyle.

Kate and Ryan talk to him. Dietrich says it isn't a crime to give a gift. And I have to go. Kate says you're a material witness to the murder of an Air Marshall. Dietrich says the money was for security. A $13.3 million watch was supposed to be watched by Ford. He was backing up the courier.

Castle tries to wake the courier. The watch on his wrist is a fake. Castle says this was about a heist. Alexis says the thief had access to everything. This is an inside job. It's Debbie! She points a gun at them. Alexis asks why? Debbie says I was ready to retire, then Oceanic eliminated our pensions. Castle says you don't have to do this. Debbie heard about the watch and nobody was supposed to get hurt. Ford was supposed to step away for a minute, but he tracked her to the cargo hold. Alexis says you don't have to make this worse. This isn't who you are. She takes the gun from Debbie.

Debbie's tied up. Marilyn is released. She thanks Castle for finding Kyle's killer. Castle tells Hadad that if his story checks out, he'll be allowed to see his mother before he faces charges. Castle tells Alexis that she was very brave. She says she'll postpone her pub date. Captain says take your seats. Castle grabs several little liquor bottles and goes upstairs.

Kate watches the plane land in London.
