CAT AND VINCENT ARE DETERMINED TO HUNT DOWN LIAM – When Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) make it their mission to capture Liam (guest star Jason Gedrick), they find information about a Patient X that they might be able to use to help them find him. Ep 10:
Catherine working on the Liam case at home. Vincent comes home. Alton is okay. And scared. Cat is happy he didn't listen to her. Vincent says we are a team. Sometimes you rely on me and sometimes I rely on you. Okay. Cat is trying to profile Liam. Vincent says I'll track him long before he gets to his endgame. Cat shows him there have been hospice bombings. Maybe Liam's looking for someone. Vincent says he's going to change clothes and get back out tracking. Trust me.
Vincent on the phone with JT. Who's under police protection again. The dean needs JT's tenure package tonight. And there's still no serum in JT and Alton. JT wonders if he's missing something, though. Vincent wonders if that e-mail is a trap for JT.
Hospital. Alton gets a call from JT. Alton is under protective watch, too. JT asks if he's getting any serum side effects? no. No relapse. Alton says he's had a few nose bleeds, but the doctors think it's just from the attack.
Liam in a hospital room with an old lady. He says he's checking the oxygen tank. She says she's a bit achy from surgery. He says he'll take care of it - nothing worse than suffering. He set a bomb that blows through the wall of Alton's room.
JT's office at the university. Cat and Vincent catch a kid. He was paid 100 bucks to show up. A diversion. Cat gets a call from Tess. Tess says Liam already got Alton, and a lot of innocents, including cops.
Vincent and Cat join Tess. Tess says be careful. Vincent says it looks like a war zone. Cat is scared. We can only protect JT for so long. Vincent's sensing something he can't put his finger on. He says she might be onto something with the hospice bombings. Maybe Juliana had an experiment we don't know about. Vincent knows he can track Liam. Feels it.
JT is moved to an armored truck. With Tess. She says Liam's not getting you.
Vincent tracking, then Cat calls and he snaps at being interrupted. Cat says she found a Patient X. John Doe checked into a hospice in Queens. Vincent says please be careful. She asks how are we going to stop him? Vincent says trust my gut on this. He goes back to sensing the scene of the bomb.
JT taken to a motel. Tess tells the men to leave. Don't want the extra attention. JT's freaked out about the room being gross. Tess tells him relax, watch TV. JT keeps pacing. He's too worried. Why does Liam want to kill me, kill Alton? I don't understand. Tess tells him to turn on the TV and be quiet.
Cat approaches a man. I want to protect you from Liam. The man says you can't protect me from him. Cat says your nose is bleeding. Is that a symptom of Juliana's serum? He says you know my sister? He says Juliana didn't know Liam was a monster at first. She was trying to help him and was lied to. Russell says he injected himself to try to help her, but it didn't work on him like the other subjects. Vincent busts in. He tracked Liam here.
Liam leaving the building.
Vincent finds a bomb in the closet. Go, Go!!!
Liam sets the bomb off.
Cat and Vincent and Russell get out safe. Vincent wants to track Liam, who has to be close by. They sense each other.
Precinct. Cat, Russell, and Vincent. Cat will keep Russell here. Vincent will go back and track Liam. Russell doesn't know why Liam isn't dying from the serum. Vincent wants to know everything he knows about Liam. He tells Cat to call Tess. JT will be next.
JT turns the TV off. Tess was watching lions hunting zebras. Cat calls. You need to constantly move. Go to Staten Island, across water.
Vincent with Russell. Russell doesn't know why Liam is different. Vincent gets frustrated. Cat comes back in. JT is being moved. Cat says she has a bad feeling about this. Vincent insists he'll find and stop Liam.
Liam finds the motel room JT and Tess were in.
Precinct. Cat brings Russell some food from the vending machine. Russell says he doesn't have much time and he'll be damned if he dies before Liam does. He gets worked up, coughs, and takes her gun. Cuff yourself to the table! She does. Russell says now I let Liam know I'm alive. Then you'll know where to get him. He leaves. Cat calls out for help.
JT and Tess. He doesn't like the abandoned brewery. I'm a sitting duck and this is a waste of time. She says quit complaining. He says you have to leave! A super-human killer is after me, not you. But they're both scared for each other, so she's not leaving. He says you still love me, don't you? She says maybe. JT caresses her cheek and kisses her. She kisses him back. Russell finds them! Making sure Liam comes after us.
Cat and Vincent arrive. Vincent says there's something familiar about Liam. He's here and on the hunt. I'll kill him. Cat wants to arrest Liam. Vincent says Liam is different. He has to be stopped.
Russell says I don't have much time. JT asks because of the serum? Yeah. Liam tosses Russell. Russell shoots Liam. Russell tells Tess and JT to run and find Vincent. Liam lifts Russell by the throat. He plunges his hand into Russell. Then sets a bomb.
It explodes before Vincent and Cat get there.
JT and Tess running.
Liam coming after them.
Vincent and Cat find Russell's body. Vincent senses that JT and Tess are fine. Cat uncovers the body. I know why this is familiar.
Tess and JT running. Liam finds them. He says I can't risk anyone else being enhanced. Vincent attacks Liam. Tess trying to get a clear shot. Vincent Beasts out. Liam says impossible. Liam Beasts out. Cat shoots Liam. Tess shoots Liam. Liam falls. Vincent gets up. Liam gets up. Says this changes everything, doesn't it? See ya. He runs off. Cat tells Vincent you can't do this on your own. We have to trust each other now.
*I'm going to guess Liam wanted help like Vincent needed in season 1, to stabilize the Beast, and Juliana's serum was better than Muirfield's season 2 serum. That's why he's stronger and more resilient than Vincent. Liam could easily be from the Beast experiments.
Precinct. Cat comes in Tess's office. Tess has heat on her again. Cat says no wonder Juliana wanted Vincent - only a Beast can stop a Beast. So are you and JT back together? Tess thinks so. I realized I didn't want to leave his side no matter what. And I need to go move him again. Cat says this will end, and in a good way.
JT's packing. He wishes he could bring lab equipment. Tess says stop worrying about the serum. She says it's going to be okay. They kiss. Thanks for trying to save my life. JT gets a nosebleed.
Vincent moping in the dark. Cat asks if he's alright? He says he's not really sure. I'm so sorry. She says you didn't know you were tracking a Beast. He says I thought your father got rid of them all. The whole time I was tracking Liam, I had no idea..... Liam's not only like me, he's super human. Vincent says sensing a Beast again made me feel like I used to before you. Like a predator out for my kill. She says you're different now. We've grown. We're stronger together. He kisses her. Holds her close. He's clearly not as sure.
Next week - Which Beast will go over the edge?
