"Code of Silence"
SECRETS AND LIES — Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team uncover HIVE’s plan to take out Team Arrow once and for all. With HIVE’s next attack imminent, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) wonders if Donna (guest star Charlotte Ross) is safer without him in her life. Meanwhile, with the wedding fast approaching, Oliver begins to feel guilty that he hasn’t told Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) about his son. Ep 14:
Oliver at the debate site. Meets Ruve Adams. She says she's not married. Oliver says your candidacy has come out of nowhere. She says the city is in too much need to stay in the shadows. Felicity gives Oliver an engagement announcement and it glitter bombs in his face. LOL. Her mom made them. Felicity on Overwatch when Adams leaves. Arrow, Spartan, Canary, Speedy trailing her. Speedy on the bike. Green Arrow takes over. Eyes on the car. It turns. He follows. And it's gone. Adams says my husband has something to say about you stalking his wife. Ghosts fire at him. Team comes in to help. Ghosts down. Ruve Adams is gone again.
Arrow Cave. We won't find Darhk by tracking his wife. Oliver says he's gone to a new phase. There's something we're not seeing.
Damian and Ruve. He says Malcolm gave me an early birthday present. It'd be a shame not to use it. They join the council. Phase 5 requires control over City Hall, yet we're mired in a petty political race. Phase 5 now rests on your wife's questionable political acumen. Damian kills a man in another city through the TV. Malcolm's sitting at the table here, too. Bastard.
Laurel's checking up on her dad. Worried about him. He says he's fine. Phone call. Possible 602. She offers to come with. He says he has plans with Donna for dinner. Laurel says even better.
Oliver and Felicity get home and Donna has gone overboard with decorating. Balloons everywhere. A champagne tower. Games. Thea arrives. Duty calls. Sorry. LOL. Alex got a call about research. On you. Mom wrote a million dollar check to Samantha Clayton. The check was never cashed. Oliver says he doesn't know anything. Thea asks if she should look into this person. Oliver says clearly the woman wanted nothing to do with Mom and I don't see how this would blow back on me. Heh.
Island. Reiter tells Oliver we have much to accomplish together. The slaves want to kill Oliver. Reiter's men walk out.
Laurel asks why back-up is needed for a simple break-in. Lance tells her not to worry and goes into the building. Alone. Calls dispatch. Building starts collapsing. Laurel helps him up. They run to get out. The building is imploding. They finally run out into the street. What the hell was that? Good thing Laurel didn't stay in the car.
Diggle patching up Quentin. He still wants to meet with Donna. Team tells him to stay put and let me do what we do. Thea follows Oliver out. To debate prep. Heh.
Island. Taiana defends Oliver. Oliver says the guard put him up to it and Oliver defended himself. I'm not your enemy. I want to stop Reiter and get you all out of this place. They say prove it by killing Conklin. Taiana asks if he's killed before. Yeah. A man in Hong Kong. It made me a monster. She says it takes a monster to fight monsters.
Donna meets Quentin in Oliver's office. She notices his scratches. He says we can't see each other for a while. I....owe some guys some money. I pissed off some pretty tough customers. She says I'm a Vegas girl. Don't worry. He says just for a few weeks, that's all. She says how about we make it longer. My BS detector is flawless and right now it's redlining. Either respect me enough to tell me the truth or you don't. Clearly, you don't. She walks out. Felicity asks what did you do? Trying to put some distance between us in case Darhk is after me. She found something.
602 didn't come from police dispatch. HIVE lured him to the hotel. Oliver says contact the team and have them meet me at the signal source.
Team bursts in on the bad guys. Tough to fight. They get away. Destruct sequence activated. Speedy goes for the laptop. Arrow helps Spartan up. They run out. Speedy gets out through a window. Building comes down. That was close!
Felicity says there are 3 nails through the hard drive. Andy says they're a Demo Team. Laurel saw blueprints. Donna texts Felicity. Lance tells Oliver that he and Donna are quits. You're lucky you're with someone you don't need to keep secrets from.
Island. Reiter and Oliver. this map conceals deeper truths. With the survey map's details, I could decipher the message. A hidden place with untold power. Passage is granted to one gifted by the gods. I think that's you. Conklin shows up. Reiter says keep Mr. Queen company. Oliver attacks him.
Donna and Felicity. Donna's crying in the bedroom. I thought I finally found the one man who wouldn't lie to me! She says maybe he has a good reason. Donna says yeah, right. I'm sorry I've gone all Momzilla with this engagement party. I've been living vicariously through you. You and Oliver don't lie to each other, ever. And he'll be the best daddy when the time comes. When I see something that rare, that beautiful, it reminds me I won't ever have a love like that. Felicity tells her you have that, Lance loves you and you need to return that love with a little bit of trust. If he's lying, it might be to protect you.
Oliver wants to be done with the drilling. Thea asks why you didn't tell me you went to college with Samantha? He says I was with her while I was with Laurel and I'm not proud of that. Thea says Samantha has a son, William, about as old as that check. William is your son, isn't he? Oliver says yes. And the only way I can see him is if I never tell anyone I'm his father. She asks if he's okay? He thought so, but..... How can I marry Felicity with this lie between us? Thea says look at Samantha's perspective. As far as she knew, you're an irresponsible playboy. And you're the Green Arrow. Anyone close to you is at risk. What she's asking you to do is the right thing to do. I'd love to be an aunt, but you have to do the right thing for your son. Keeping William secret is keeping him safe. John calls. Demo team uses a specialized acid. Only one place stocks it. Oliver's going. Oliver tells Thea thank you for saying what I needed to hear.
Spartan and Green Arrow in the building. Acid is gone. People dead. Whatever the demo team is taking down is massive.
**Diggle and Lyla will be on the next Flash.
Palmer Tech. Curtis hides what he's working on. Okay, it's an early wedding gift, so please don't ask to see it. She says this surprise better be good. He says It will be.
Lance in the Arrow Cave. Hates hiding. Oliver in a suit. Lance asks how did you keep this up for 4 years? In AA, they say you're only as good as the secrets you keep. You're looking pretty healthy these days. Oliver says you're in a tough spot and you're trying to keep her safe. Sometimes you have to lie to the ones you love to protect them.
Island. Oliver vs. Conklin. Oliver wins. Uses Conklin's knife against him. Conklin says Reiter's going to kill everyone no matter what you do.
Thea asks Oliver if he's ready. Drills him on how to keep the debate on topic. Alex is with his mother. Donna with Felicity. Felicity gets a call. Curtis. He has a set of blueprints. Uploading to you now. Felicity says to Oliver and Thea that HIVE is taking down this building.
**Donna's dressed more for a night on the town than a political debate. Sure, she cleans up well, but dang.......they might want to guide her on what's appropriate.
Felicity wonders why HIVE would attack the debate? Oliver says maybe Ruve would be the lone sympathetic survivor. Thea pulls the fire alarm.
Ruve calls the demo team. Do not let Oliver Queen leave this building alive.
People outside. Donna wants to go back inside. quentin shows up to help. Green Arrow and team looking around. Bombs, but no demo team. 13:25 minutes. Diggle tries to disarm one. Booby trapped. Demo man attacks Diggle. Arrow fighting with another. Speedy hanging from a chain. Laurel almost hit by a nail from a nail gun. She engages the woman. Speedy joins. Spartan still fighting with the man. Knocks him out with the sledgehammer. Girls get the woman down. Speedy stops a bomb. So does Spartan. Green Arrow gets the top clear. Quentin helped him.
They return to Donna and Felicity. Ready to go. Quentin taking the bad guys out in cuffs.
Debate starts late. Nice applause. Enough to bring the house down, almost. Good luck. Oliver, if you keep making these thinly veiled comments, they're going to figure out you're the Green Arrow!! Stop it!
**Like Malcolm and others have said to Oliver before - he's not so bright. In some ways, he's quite intelligent, but he can be terribly dense sometimes, and overconfident other times.
News covers the debate. Oliver said to be the clear winner. Oliver wants the new poll numbers. Felicity says you have one voter. Only one that matters. Aww.
Island. Oliver in the cell again. Reiter says I need yo alive, but there are different forms of alive. Don't test me again. Taiana thanks Oliver. Oliver says I don't need thanks. We don't have much time.
Oliver introduces John to their neighbor. Donna says the photographer is here. Quentin arrives. Felicity called him. He and Donna step aside. He apologizes. I lied to you. Afraid how you'd react. It was HIVE. The same people that.... Hurt my baby. I was working with them to protect Laurel. I'm glad Darhk came after me and not her-- Donna forgives him.
Curtis arrives with his hubby. Felicity says grab some champagne. Curtis finished his gift. She opens it. Microchip. No, it's a biostimulant. For walking. Hopefully, it'll work in time for you to walk down the aisle. Once it's implanted in your spine. Oliver says Curtis, you're terrific. Thank you! Curtis says it might not work. Felicity says it will.
Damian introduces William to his daughter. Oh no!
