"Rock Never Dies"
RICK SPRINGFIELD ROCKS OUT AS LUCIFER – Lucifer (Rick Springfield) realizes that as rock star Vince Vincente, he can get his fans to do whatever he wants. Thrilled with this power, Lucifer arranges to play a secret VIP concert in order to kill all of them. Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) enter the underbelly of the music industry to try to stop him. Episode 7:
One week ago. Men trying to call Lucifer. It doesn't work. One laughs. Other found the summoning online. It's a fossilized feather from his wing. Lucifer shows up. I've been looking for that. Hi. The feather summoned him. The trip under the sea didn't help me. He takes the feather in. Restored. Won't last long, but it'll do. You and your pal are typical followers? The kid says your Vince Vincente, my mom loves you. You're kinda famous. Lucifer kills him, too.
Dean staring at the phone. Playing a game. Sam comes in. You've been goofing off with a game from 5 years ago? Dean playing with Mom. She beats him. How is she? Good. Dealing. Cas calls. Still with Crowley. Look at the news. Sam pulls up articles. Vince reunites the band. Is that Lucifer? We don't know. Crowley puts it on speaker. think about it, of all the extinct rock acts, this doesn't feel like a wholly natural turn of events. He's in L.A. See you there.

Beverly Hills. Death Siren Records. Crowley appears to Kadeem Hardison. What brings you to the city of angels? Crowley says this is my city. The man went natural. How you been? Dean and Sam in the car. Dean's not happy to go to L.A. Bitching. Sam has earphones in. Not listening. Dean pulls on it. What are you listening to? Sam says a podcast. Dean says crank it up. Dean tells him to turn it off lol.
Vincifer in the studio. Social media is blowing up. We gonna record or what? Vince isn't feeling it. His band member tries to convince him. Let's make some music. Vince asks what the fans are tweeting? It's not about the music. Rock is just an excuse, to worship, to adore. humans are desperate to put something above them. Dean and Sam arrive in town. Sam drinking the vegetable water. Cas meets them. Where's Crowley. He said he'd meet us here. Cas wanted a break. Crowley says don't listen to him. Yes, Vince is riding with the Devil. Let's check out his room. this is LA, I know a lot of people. Into the suite. It's a mess. Sam finds rockstar biographies. Dean says Lucifer's a dork? Good to know. He plays with a guitar. Sam doesn't get it. Why is Lucifer acting out a rock god fantasy? Dean says who wouldn't. Cas finds a human tooth pulled out by the root.
Woman asks Vince why he's spending time with her. He says he was a fool to not recognize such sweet devotion. Talk to me, Rosalie. Tell me about me. She was 16 and in love with him the moment she saw him. She was in Arcadia. Watched a video. your voice, your hair, your eyes. You were everything. Even when people make fun of me, I never stopped loving you and I never will. He asks how much? What would you do to show me? She says anything. Anything? He has a knife. Would you bleed? She nods. Then bleed. She cuts her chest. Screams.
She carved Vince's name in chest. Dean tells Crowley and Cas to stay. They talk to Rosalie. She says she did this to make Vince happy. He had a good reason. He must've. I'm sure he can explain. If I could just see him? I need to get to the show! Please! Please!
Social media chick tells Vince about the show. This could push you to kimye levels. Lucifer wants a different crowd tonight. new fans. She says new people are great, but they're fickle. They have no loyalty. Lucifer doesn't care. I want fresh blood. She sees a stain on the carpet. Got it.
Boys with Cas and Crowley. The show is tonight. Crowley says this is about devotion. People looking at you like you're everything, it's intoxicating. So what is Lucifer planning to do? Crowley says Rowena won't show until we have Lucifer captured and no sooner.
Crowley goes to his contact again. He tells Crowley it's business, nothing personal. Crowley says believe me, it's personal.
Cas finds Tommy. Hear what happened to Rosalie? You know Vince isn't Vince.
Dean and Sam trying to charm the media girl like they're musicians. Hoping you can do for us what you did for Vince. She's not into it. They ask where the show is. You must've noticed Vince is different.
Crowley says you WILL tell me where that show is, Russell, or I WILL end you.
Tommy tells Cas I don't know what's going on. Sorry.
She says Vince is a paying client. Dean and Sam says he's the literal Devil. She says no. Take a step back or I start screaming. Buh-bye.
Hotel. In the lobby again. Crowley thought he put the fear in Russell. Sam's looked online and no venue, yet. Dean drinks the water. LOL. Cas returns. Nothing. Dean says we couldn't flip a single member? These douchebags won't do the right thing. Crowley says welcome to Los Angeles. What now?
Vincifer with his team. Winners thrilled to make it in. Losers are weeping. tommy says Vince was a no-show at the studio again. Vince says relax, Russell. Tonight will kill. Russell says check your contract. I own you. Do you? Yeah. Lucifer takes control of his hand and makes him stab his own throat. Russell bleeds out and dies. Vincifer says see you all inside.
Crowds screaming. Vince's body starting to decay. Lucifer says who's ready to have fun? Media girl quits.
Cas answers his phone.
The Vince show. Fans head to the stage. Crowley and Cas and Dean and Sam. Sam says we need to save the people inside, too. Cas says he's my responsibility. You're only clearing that crowd if he's otherwise engaged. I'll buy 3 minutes. Crowley says make it 4. Awwww.
Tommy's not a happy guy. Vincifer kills the other band members. Tommy horrified. Lucifer can't play. Tommy asks who are you? Lucifer says doesn't matter. I'm Vince Vicente, rock god. Going solo. Cas stops him from killing Tommy. Luci asks if he brought the rest of the little rascals. Crowley says just me. Spanky.....
Dean and Sam in the venue. They spot the fire alarm.
Vince didn't take Crowley for the martyr type. Crowley says I'm not. I hate you that much. You mean nothing to those kids out there. Think they'll draw blood by choice? Vince says maybe I'll just take it. It's fun. because I can. Vince is famous. Everybody loves him. I need love! I had a really jacked childhood. He kills Tommy. Cas tries to attack. Vince beats crowley with a guitar.
Dean and Sam not having luck. Bouncer grabs Dean. Sam pulls the alarm.
Lucifer stops the alarm and puts the music back on. Beats on Crowley again. Tells Cas to stick around for the after party. Then takes the stage.
Vince says things might get messy. Dean fires a gun into the ceiling. People panic and run. Sam does his best to hold the doors open. Cas says hey, assbutt. Lucifer breaks the cuffs. You can't do anything to me. Dean asks why are you doing this? Sam says You and God made up. What would He think? Lucifer says he ditched me for Auntie Amara. He'd say anything to get my help. Don't you get it. it's all meaningless. Heaven, Hell, this world. Nothing down here but a bunch of hopeless distraction addicts desperate to fill the void. Know what my plan is? I don't have one! I'm just going to keep smashing Daddy's broken toys and making you watch. Sam says you're falling apart. Dean says rock is dead. Lucifer leaves Vince. Vince dies, depleted.
Crowley looks bad. Dean thinks it's a win for saving the crowd. Sam says Vince Vicente is dead. He was a person and meant something to a lot of people and Lucifer snuffed that out. How many people died tonight? We're not winning. We're just losing slow. You heard what he said. Dean says we'll stop him, we will. It's what we do, man. Sam doesn't look convinced.
Next ep - Lucifer going big. Mdseason finale. Was that a grenade launcher?
