“Stuck In The Middle (With You)”
RICHARD SPEIGHT JR. DIRECTS – Mary (guest star Samantha Smith) asks Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), and Castiel (Misha Collins) for help on a case she’s working but neglects to mention the British Men of Letters are involved. When Mary is double crossed, everything is revealed. Richard Speight Jr directed the episode written by Davy Perez (#1212). Original airdate 2/16/2107.
Episode 12:
Sugar in coffee. Tell me a story.
5:20PM. Dean talking to a waitress. Sam wants the wifi password. They have a hunter with them. Mary wants steak and eggs bloody. Cas? Sunrise special, please. They say she's into you. LOL. Mary's phone buzzes. Sam says the internet here sucks. Dean says no one cares. Cas, you have to bring your A game to waitresses. Mary says screens down, eyes up, shut up. Sorry, Mom. Hunter called them for a demon that likes to fish. Heh. Wally asked for help. Mary says are we all clear on the plan? Mandy comes back. Dean plays wingman for Cas. When do you get off? Whenever I can. Whoa.
Mary helping an injured Cas. The others struggling with demons. Sam kills one. Wally gets stabbed. that demon comes toward Sam. Dean gets her from behind. Wally's dead.
The Wounded Angel
Cas listening to a pastor on radio.
Mary meets with Sam and Dean. Brought Wally. She thanks Cas for coming. Kelly Kline has disappeared. Wally says that's not a joke? Lucifer has a kid? Slow walk to........
The diner. Mary has the boys go over the plan.
Sam and Dean prepping in the house. Devil's trap, ammo, etc. Cas comes back in. Mary? She comes up. She was in the bathroom. Phone buzzes. Wally says he's coming back early.
Demon whistling coming home. Cas has his angel blade out. Everyone else holds their weapons ready. Sam has the knife. Demon getting closer. Carrying a fishing rod and basket. Dean shoots him when he enters. Do you mind explaining why you broke into my house? Dean keeps shooting and it does nothing. Sam gets knocked out. Blade doesn't work. Mary and Cas come out. Demon rushes Cas.
Yellow eyes! Mary runs away. Wally and Sam face more demons.
Cas bloody outside. The demon has a spear? Stabs Cas. Wally dies. Cas crawling away. Mary runs an SUV into the demon.
Gets Cas inside. Can you heal? Cas says something's wrong. Phone buzzes. Where are you? She's down the road, gives directions. Sam says we're on the way. You okay? Cas passes out. No.
9:05PM. Sam and Dean reach them. She asks about Wally. He's... Sam asks where the other demons came from. She doesn't know. Did you see his eyes? They were yellow. He had yellow eyes. Mom, what did you get us into.
11 hours ago. 10:07AM. Demon leaves the house. Wally watching. Mary in the passenger seat. Wally's never faced a demon before. Why did you call me? She says so Sam and Dean don't ask the wrong questions. Safer that way. She got the intel from the British MOL. Wally doesn't trust them. What's the catch? She says we've taken out a lot of vamps, werewolf packs, and a ghoul. Saved a lot of people. Let's go.
The diner again.
8:23PM. They approach the demon's house. Let's get to work. Mary asks where's Dean? Sam says stashing the car. He asks if she's okay. You never really wanted this. She says since when is life about getting what you want. Cas standing guard outside. Sam painting the trap. Mary sneaks down the basement. Paintings. Statues. She takes one painting down to find a safe. Puts a device on it to open it. Inside.....a box. She opens it. Glowing. Wraps the object and stuffs it in her jeans. Puts the painting back and goes upstairs. Cas asks where were you? Bathroom. I get nervous sometimes.
The fight.
9:03PM. She tends to Cas. Texts Hobbits. Bad intel. You can't stay there. Cas wakes. Boys arrive. Where's Wally? uh... Oh God. Sam and Mary talk. Dean goes to Cas, looks at the wound. There's a black veiny infection. Dean says I've had worse. Cas says I can't heal myself. Poison. I think I'm dying. Dean says no, you need some time. Heal the old-fashioned way. Sam! Crowley calls them idiots. You're all going to die!
you idiots! you're all going to die! you must be Mother Winchester. She says touch me and I'll kill you. Sam says the demons were yours. She says they killed my friend. Crowley says your friend was stupid. Do you know what you've done? Does the name Ramiel mean anything to you? Cas knows it. Ramiel Prince of Hell. Dean asks what is a prince of hell? Oldest of old demons. Lucifer turned them himself. Trained to fight the armies of Heaven. Light Azazel. Even have his eyes.
Ramiel. Crowley appears. King of the Crossroads. I've been sent by Hell. I've come bearing gifts. First is from all demon kind. The lance of Michael. Ramiel says impressive. Kills the good ones slow and painful. The magic in the runework. Admiring the craftsmanship. Crowley's 2nd gift is from him personally. The box. Ramiel opens it. Where did you get this? Crowley says amazing what some people leave laying about. Consider it your coronation present. Final gift. Thrown of Hell. You are next in line. Ramiel says the name doesn't mean anything. he doesn't want the crown. You take it. You seem ambitious enough. Conniving. Slimy. Take it! Go for the glory, kid. Crowley says what about the others? Ramiel says Azazel was a fanatic, but the rest of us stopped caring a long time ago. happy where we are. Crowley takes it. I graciously accept. Ramiel says there is one thing. Leave us alone. And make sure everyone else does the same. It'll be on your head, Crowley, and you don't want to know what happens when you piss us off. He accepts the terms.
My demons were there to keep people away from Ramiel. Crowley says Cas was stabbed by the lance of Michael. Nasty bit of business. Kills everything is touches. If you're an angel, you just rot away. Sorry, Castiel. Dean says there's always a cure. Crowley says it won't work. You don't have time. Dean says we don't have time for you. Help us or get the hell out of here! Crowley leaves.
Ramiel coming. Whistling. They prepare to fight again. Crowley asks him what can I do to keep you out of that barn? Ramiel can smell the angel. Those people, your friends? Crowley says no, I make allies I can use. Ramiel says 3 humans with one good liver between them and a busted angel? Crowley says they don't look like much, but we can't afford to lose them. Let's make another deal. What do you say?
He tosses Crowley into the barn. Unconscious. Ramiel enters and grins.
A Real Barn Burner
Dean yells at Crowley. Crowley leaves.
9:12PM. Cas, how bad is it. All over his chest. You should go. Listen to me. Thank you, thank you. Knowing you has been the best part of my life. The things we've shared together have changed me. You're my family. I love you. I love all of you. Just please, please, don't make my last moments be spent watching you die. Run, save yourselves. I will hold Ramiel off as long as I can. you need to keep fighting. Sam says we are, for you. Dean says we don't leave family behind. Sam calls Mom over. They gather to plan. Hit him with everything we got.
Crowley lands. Sam ready to light the holy fire, and does. Ramiel in the circle. Toasty. Your friend was trespassing. Sam says tell us how to cure him. Ramiel says there is no cure. Dean says you have any idea who we are? Ramiel doesn't care. About anything. Even Lucifer's bun in the oven. My sister took an interest, but all I wanted to do was be left alone. But you come and steal from me. That I can't abide. Give me back what's mine, or I take it off your lifeless bodies. You have 30 seconds. Dean says we have no idea what you're talking about. 20 seconds. Have it your way. Ramiel takes the spear out and slams it down. He's free. Hits them all. They defend themselves. Sam stabs Ramiel with the spear. Ramiel flames up and explodes into dust. Cas screams in pain. Vomiting black. Crowley gets up. Picks up the lance. Magic, it's all in the runework. He breaks the staff. Cas glows. Restored. Magic's in the craftsmanship. Dean says Cas? They stand, staring at Crowley. Crowley says you're welcome, drops the pieces, and disappears.
They pull Cas to his feet. you're good? I guess so. Dean stares in awe. Cas asks what did he mean about someone stealing from him? Dean says who knows what the crazy man was talking about. Let's go home. Picks up the pieces and they leave.
One Last Thing
Mary and the MOL man. She's not happy. I lost a friend and I almost lost on of my boys. Anything like that happens again, and I will burn you down. All of you. It's a promise. He says we made a mistake. I'm sorry. She accepts. He wants to see it. She brings out the wrapped object and puts it on the table. Her father told her stories about it. Only 5 things in Creation it can't kill. The Colt!!!
Crowley says find me that gun! Pours a drink. A man sings about it in a cage. Crowley says I suppose you think that's funny. The man says I know that look. Sam and Dean have got you down. Do you think they care about you? They kill your kind. It's in their blood. It's only a matter of time before they come for you. Crowley says shut your mouth, dog. Man says that's not my name. Glowing eyes - it's Lucifer! He was banished to Hell when Sam cast him out and Crowley has him in a small cage in the thrown room. Symmetry, lol. Or karma.
