WEDDING BELLS? - A wedding is quickly planned in order for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) to lure a dangerous enemy out into the open. This looming threat puts the fate of Mystic Falls in eminent danger and must be destroyed. Episode 15:
Founder's Day parade. Night. A woman walks the street. A man asks if she's part of his uber pool. She attacks him.
Caroline in bed. Wakes. Bonnie's there. I know we have a lot to talk about, but I don't want to get into that now. Just the trouble headed our way. You are going to need this. (Alcohol)
Matt investigating the victim. His dad arrives. I wanted to tell you in person. Mom walks in. She couldn't wait to see him now. Matt says 4 years since your last phone message. She says I told you to call me back. She was happy to hear from the dad. Matt gets a 911 text.
Call with Alaric. Caroline wonders why we haven't seen Katherine, yet. Dorian says you'll need a new weapon. He'll hold Stefan accountable for the rest of his life. Stefan hopes so. Dorian asks where are Katherine's bones? Damon says they're under the church. Matt asks if putting the bone in a metal dagger do the trick? Damon and Stefan will fetch the bones. Dorian says we need to break Katherine's hold on Hell. Bonnie says destroy Hell and destroy her. Caroline asks how do we get her to show? Damon says she's obsessed with Stefan, so we throw the one party Katherine would never miss. Who doesn't love a wedding?
Caroline ranting. Bonnie says happening fast. Caroline says I never explained why I said yes. Bonnie says I know why. You want to spend your life with him. But I can't watch you marry him. Can't see him happy. I can't do that to myself. I won't. Caroline understands. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry in ways I didn't even know existed. I'm one step removed from the reason you lost Enzo, so I'm extremely grateful you're here right now. I love you so much, so much. Please know that. Bonnie says I know you do.
Stefan was listening. Damon and Stefan in the caves now. Damon says what happened to Enzo will haunt you and her for the rest of your lives, but you didn't do it. Evil nasty ripper Stefan did it and you are not him. Hear me? Good. Damon got ordained this morning. Bones on the crypt. Damon plays with the skull. Stefan says lets get what we need and get out of here. Damon says look at the path she set us down! Stefan says we had some good things happen to us too, right? He has to think that way or goes to a dark place. Damon brought a bottle. Happy bachelor party, Brother.
Matt and his mom. She says this place hasn't changed a bit. He asks why she's really here. She says I stopped dwelling on the past. Want to do things better now. I miss my family. Don't worry, I won't get all weepy before the drinks arrive. She goes in the bathroom.
Her nose is bleeding. Then she pukes blood. WHOA. A woman comes in, on the phone. What is that? Matt's mom says this is what happens when you get old, die, come back from Hell. Rough on the body. But there's a short term remedy. She takes out a knife and attacks the young woman.
**Matt's mom was in Hell????
Caroline in the house. Note for the bride. Something old gift. Damon and Stefan come in. Human Stefan is a lightweight. LOL. Stefan says please don't be mad at me, Caroline. She thanks him for her present. Damon wants to take her out. And don't puke. That's a $10,000 rug! Stefan groans with the drunkenness.
Bonnie listening to music on earbuds. Enzo appears with her. You don't keep pain to keep our connection alive. You're a witch, after all. She says a witch that can't do magic. He says what do you call me being here? There's has to be magic. He tries to convince her to go to the wedding. She doesn't want to. He says trust Caroline, then. Her happiness. She asks in Enzo is happy. he tells her about the wedding he imagined for them. We'd dance, and then I'd tell you I'm the luckiest man on Earth.
Damon and Caroline. Shots. He toasts her mother. Aww. She was strong, loving, and raised an incredible daughter, that I now get to call family. To Liz Forbes - gone, but never forgotten. Caroline says God, I miss her. I hate she's not here. Bonnie's not coming. My girls won't be there, Elena can't be there. Damon says hold on. Brings up the pendant. Puts it around her wrist. But so we're clear, I want that back. She says something borrowed - got it.
**Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blew.
**Stefan could be likely to struggle with addiction as a human. Rippers are the worst version of addicts. He might want to be careful with intoxicants for the future, just sayin'.
Daylight. Wedding site prepared.
Caroline hangs up her dress. Bonnie left a gift. Headband. Caroline then takes a cameo out. Girls run in, in their dresses. I thought we decided it wasn't safe? Ric says Valerie put a protection spell on them. They'll be safe no matter what. Ric has to go back to work. Caroline understands. One of the girls helps Caroline put the headband on. Ric tells her to be happy. Kisses her cheek and hugs her. He leaves.
Matt's dad arrives. Mom behind him. Didn't expect you to be so cleaned up. She brings up the dagger made from Katherine's bones. Uh oh! He finished it. She asks where is it? He says I gave it to Stefan already. She pukes blood again and hits him.
Damon suggests holding on to that. Stefan says I'm the bait, I should. Damon says if she lays a hand on you, I will cut her into pieces and serve her at the buffet. Stefan hopes he'll see Damon have this day. A human life and wedding with Elena. Damon says I'll need a best man. Hope your hero hair won't have fallen out by then.
Matt's mom says she hasn't seen Peter all day. Damon and Stefan walk to the altar. Damon has the band playing the waltz Stefan and Katherine danced to in 1866.
Caroline with the girls. In a robe. Bonnie arrives! In her dress. I have a selfish reason to be here. I want to be a part of your happiness. Caroline says always, hugging her. Girls ask Mommy if she's ready. Caroline says now I'm ready. My best friend's here.
Katherine texts Matt's mom. She's lurking.
**So, is Peter dead? Off screen already?
Dorian has an idea. If we can make a massive energy blast with psychic energy, we might be able to destroy Hell. Or we don't need to talk. I'll find bourbon. Ric says I came to Mystic Falls because I was hunting Damon. He turned my first wife because it was what she wanted. Eventually I got past that. I didn't have the energy to hate someone forever.
bonnie and the girls walk the aisle. Caroline walks to Stefan. Crowd stands.
Ric says strange thing is, losing those people is what brought us together. How we found each other. it's what made us family.
Stefan grinning at Caroline. She smiles back. Lovely classic dress. She's almost there. Gives her bouquet to Bonnie. Gives her hand to Stefan. He asks where she got the necklace. You gave it to me. He says no, that's Katherine's. She wants to take it off, but he says no. We want Katherine to see it. Damon starts the ceremony. If anyone has objections to this union, speak now, or forever hold your piece. Anyone. Now. Right now. Matt's mom left. Matt goes after her. Damon says we'll continue with the ceremony. Do you, Stefan, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife. I do. Do you, Caroline, take this man to be your husband, to have and to hold until death do you part. I do. Damon says the couple has chosen to write their own vows. Stefan says we haven't. Then wing it. LOL. Stefan says you saw light when I only saw darkness, and pulled me out of despair. You told me I would fall madly in love, and I did. She remembers. We were dancing at my prom. You told me when I was ready for you, you would be ready for me. I'm ready now. Part of me ready for this since I first saw you, the new mystery guy at school. I will remember this moment. A hundred years from now, I'll remember this for the both of us. Damon says munchkins, rings, now. Stefan says with this ring, I thee wed. Caroline says with this ring, I thee wed. Damon pronounces them husband and wife. You may kiss the bride, baby brother. Stefan kisses her. People clap. Petals falls through the air. People clap. They keeps kissing.
**Nice to mention Valerie, the other Gemini witch.
**Caroline and Stefan really have gone through a lot over the years, huh?
Reception. Gorgeous. Caroline and Stefan dancing. Bonnie and Damon dancing. Damon wonders why send the necklace and skip the wedding? Bonnie's imagining she's with Enzo right now. Then she's back with Damon. Stefan and Caroline only have eyes for each other. Kiss again.
Loosening the gas line! Matt's mom puts a propane tank in a lit fireplace in the house. Bonnie takes the girls to the bathroom.
Matt leaves a message for his mother. Then calls his father and hears it ringing. Finds it on the ground. Peter has his neck cut. Katherine didn't do this! It--
Damon says time for a toast. Little brother, I've waited a hundred and well, a whole lot of years for this speech. Today I get to tell my brother-- Kelly takes the mic. Starts insulting them. Damon compels her....but it doesn't work. What you did to Vicki, shame on you. Then again, I never had a chance, either. You all looked right though me for years, treated me like joke. Maybe you would've known I had a bad fall 2 years ago and that I was dead. Only one that cared a damn was Katherine. Damon asks where is she?! Kelly pukes blood. She doesn't know. She was busy causing a gas leak in the house. Caroline says the girls and Bonnie!
Caroline runs to the house. It explodes before she reaches the door.
**Dammit, don't destroy the Salvatore house! I hate when shows do that. We get attached to those places.
Stefan helps Caroline up and holds her back.
Bonnie and the girls coughing. We're okay. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it. Enzo says you have to keep moving. Bonnie doesn't know how they're doing this. Enzo says they're siphoning you. I believe we'll be together again. When I see you again, there will be only peace and no one will ever part us, but right now, you need to live! Please Bonnie, you know what's right. Use your magic and show them the spell. Bonnie tells the girls to say her words. Enzo says live your life, Bonnie Bennett. All of it. Promise me. She promises. I love you! I love you. He's gone. Bonnie chants again. They walk through the house in a protective bubble and force the fire back where it came.
They exit the house and the girls run to Caroline.
Damon interrogates Kelly. Matt there, too. Katherine is going to burn down Mystic Falls with hellfire tonight. Matt says only someone from the Maxwell line can do that. Kelly says you're not the only one from the bloodline.
Vicki Donovan.
Bonnie looking for Enzo. Stefan finds her. Bonnie's nose is bleeding.
Bell starts ringing. Right on time. Kelly puking blood.
Bonnie clutches her head and falls.
Kelly dead again.
