Daisy leaves the bathroom. Approaches the bed. Wakes the man. It's Ward! And her power doesn't work. He hopes she's making the coffee. She says he startled her. Not like I snuck in here. What's up? She says we got called in to work. Okay. He heads to the bathroom. I'll get dressed. Weirdo. She looks for her clothes. He says we've spent more nights tracking Inhumans than at home. Bosses can't give us a morning off? She spots a photo. He says we should go there again. That was a fun trip. What did they say? Skye, who texted? Skye. She says someone who knew you'd sleep in. He hands her her badge. Don't forget this. Hydra.
On the radio, a man rants about Inhumans. Ward turns it off and says she's quiet. She says she's fine. Sees the building they're heading to. Oh my God.
In the base. He says come on, we'll be late. She sees agents beating an Inhuman. Ward stops her and says come on. She's wandering. He says you're on another planet this morning. He says you put yourself out there last night and I'm sorry. She asked him to move in. He needs time. Space. Skye, there are things about me you wouldn't like if you knew. She says she knows. He says Skye - it's that way.
Cubicles. She wants to check her email. thumb scan to use the computer. She searches for Lincoln. And Jemma. Deceased. May comes up. Skye asks if she's okay. I got into the Framework. May says Get in the briefing! Skye apologizes.
Jemma wakes in a grave in a forest. 2 bullet wounds in the chest. There's a skeleton below her.
Jemma finds a chainlink fence. And a hole in it. A road. That was the only SHIELD Academy site. A woman pulls up with a car. Jemma asks for help. The woman lets her in. Is DC okay? Yeah, anywhere but here. The woman asks what were you doing there. Jemma asks about her. The woman waits tables and makes earrings. Saving money for med school. Jemma talking about the computational layers. There's an Inhuman checkpoint. You need your ID. NEED IT. Jemma doesn't have it. Woman says they'll arrest us. Jemma finds her SHIELD ID in her pocket. The woman kicks her out. Sorry, just please close the door. Jemma runs.
Skye in the brief. A guy warned her not to be late. May says the Doctor wants this fasttracked. Don't disappoint him. We believe the subject is funneling Terrigen to subversives. May tells Skye and Ward to take point. I want this intel at any cost.
The man is kept. Ward says Hydra cares more about what you've done than what you are. So I highly suggest you cooperate. Skye asks him his name. Did you know you were an Inhuman before today? yes. Lie detecting him. His truck was stolen. He was afraid to go to the authorities because he's Inhuman. She gets a text. Asks him who made this card? I'm trying to save your life. Is there a threat within Hydra? Your name is Veejay Nadeer. Don't deny it. Ward knocks the guy out.
Jemma finds a diner. Sits. Looks at a newspaper tabloid. She wishes for a phone. Steals keys and a coat. A man asks if she's alright. rough day? Jemma says I went hiking. Fell, so clumsy. I just want to get home. She checks the pockets of the coat. I must've lost it in the fall, I guess. They take her. Name. She says Jemma Simmons. They run it. Man says she's lying about something, I can see it. Other man says she's dead. But it's her picture. She fights back and steals their car.
Coulson a teacher. This is a dangerous world. People were divided. So many untruths about Inhumans out there. Magical people, like unicorns. It was terrifying. SHIELD brought a girl to a classroom and the rest was history. Hydra stepped forward and brought us law and order. For the state over individual interests. A student asks if the Hydra came out of Nazis? The Nazi science division. Coulson says no. Never say that. That was propaganda. A man comes in to take Chris Adler. They want to do tests. Don't forget your bag, son. He's escorted out. Coulson says let's get back to the lesson.
**How have their brains accepted a world where Hydra won, Inhumans are feared and hunted, and everyone lives in a police state? Can't see Coulson being a propaganda teacher. Or May a cold Hydra soldier.
Veejay quiet. May comes in. You're her. I know you. She says I doubt it. He says Bahrain. The world blames Inhumans for what happened, but it was you that got it wrong. Skye tells May to wake up! He's valuable to us. May says take him upstairs for testing. The Doctor will get answers. Skye gets him in private. Thanks to your friend back there, Hydra has a pass to kill Inhumans. She says she can get him out of here. He punches her and runs. He's tased. Fitz is the Doctor! He tells her follow me.
Jemma on a park bench. She finds a buried something and puts it in her pocket. Come on, Daisy, come on. Marks the bench with an X. Leaves. Back to the car. Opens the laptop. Searches for Daisy Johnson and nothing. Searches for Coulson and finds him. There you are, sir. I'm coming.
To his desk. He doesn't know her. She says I'm Jemma Simmons, sir. It's been a horrible day. He says should I call someone? She says in the real world, before you were a teacher. He says I've always been a teacher. She asks him if he has moments when his memories don't fit. She says he's had his mind wiped and given false memories. He says he's loyal to Hydra, I'm just a teacher. She's trying and getting upset. He tells her to get herself some help and whatever you do, don't talk about SHIELD. She spots a hula girl. TAHITI. It's a magical place. this isn't an accident. You need to remember me! And Fitz and Agent May and the world depends on you and this world is a lie! He says I've tried to be nice to you, but leave now. She says she'll go, but she's not giving up on him. He sets the figurine down and gets on the phone. I'd like to report a subversive.
**Poor Jemma looks dead.
Jemma sees a kid tagging her car. He says you and Mr. Coulson lie to us every day. Where's Chris? Take me to him or I'll go to the resistance. She rants about the virtual world again. Look at me. Do I look like I'm Hydra? He says she looks like a bag lady. So Coulson let Hydra take your friend? She says he used to fight Hydra. Even taught me to steal this car. And Hydra are all Nazis. He lets her have his car.
There's a drone over her.
Fitz's machine tests Inhuman powers without side effects. Without terrigenesis in the subject. She Daisy says it's wrong. He says you're a great asset, but unless I ask for your opinion, don't give it. Asks how things are with Ward? She says they're great. He says her cohabitation application was approved. May comes in talking about Jemma. Skye asks questions, but she's dismissed. Fitz tells May to get any and all assets in the area on this.
Skye/Daisy leaving. Ward following her. It's like I woke up to a totally different person? She says I tried to get closer to you and you shut me down for space. Fine. Take all the space you need. I need space of my own.
Coulson looking at papers. Clues from his original life. TAHITI. It's a magical place.
Daisy gets to the bench. Jemma arrives. Hug. Wait, you're Hydra? Long story. Are you dead? No, I'm feeling much better. I think Hydra murdered me. Daisy says we have to get out of here, somewhere safe. Hydra is looking for you. Exchange about Coulson and May. Ranting about their days, lol. Jemma says Why did Radcliffe build this place, he was never into Hydra! Ward. Ladies....we need to talk. Holding a gun on them.
**Let's see, if Daisy/Skye is Hydra, then Ward is probably good. Because it's Bizarro World where everything is upside-down and reversed.
How did you know my name? Who are you? Skye, what did you tell her? Is she your source in the Resistance? Skye says Ward, I've never betrayed you ever. He asks is she your source for the Resistance? They yell no! Well, he's in the Resistance. Key now, or we all die. run in the car from Hydra. Skye, no good way to tell you this. You're an Inhuman. I know. You know? Being chased and shot at. Cover us! Jemma catches up. You two are together? this isn't the Framework, this is Hell. LOL. Gaining on us. He wants to know how she knew about Veejay's real name. He got the ID card. He was helpful until you burned him. Drones will be here any second. They're everywhere. Stops the car in a parking garage. I'll clear the car, go, go, go. Skye apologizes to Ward about Veejay. He asks her name. Daisy. We'll talk later. Get out of here, go.
May updates Fitz. Maybe whoever helped her also made this. A mole. That's a serious charge. Someone is betraying us. Fitz says his father always said you have to have trust to be betrayed. Treat this mole like a cancer. She'll cut it out. He says you've failed before. He'll never forget Cambridge.
Simmons asks about Fitz. Yeah, he's different. They all are. It's scary. Radcliffe tried to take away people's pain in the Framework. May, Coulson, Fitz. Jemma is finally cleaned up. What if he never knew me? Daisy looked up Lincoln, interrogated Veejay. I've been here one day. May's been here her whole life! Daisy says we need to get out. We have to talk to YoYo and get a game plan and come back with backup. I don't have powers here. Simmons tries to wake them. The button doesn't work! They know we're here. Someone recoded our exit. We're trapped.
Fitz visits the Madame. She says come on. He says the subversives have a mole in Hydra. She knows. She tightened security and eliminated the loophole for escape. Now we tighten the noose. He'd like to see the moles. She won't let him. He thinks it's on him to hunt the moles and protect this life. I have to protect you! She says your anger won't solve this. It's your creativity that we need. They kiss!
Coulson goes to his car. Gets in. Daisy is in the back. Hey. Who are you?! This is not okay. She says I need you to remember me. He says I'm sorry, we haven't met! She says remember me. Please remember me. He's sorry. I don't. She says it's not your fault. But you're the person I go to when things get heavy and this world is scary and nothing makes sense and you're the closest thing I have to family. I hope deep down you feel it, too. Daisy?
