When Barry Allen and Oliver Queen wake up one morning and realize they have swapped bodies with each other, the two set off to find out what disturbed the timeline to cause such a shift. However, things quickly go from bad to worse when they present their case to Team Flash and the gang doesn’t believe them. Barry and Oliver realize they need Supergirl’s help and travel to Smallville on Earth-38 where they end up meeting Kara’s cousin, Clark Kent (Supergirl‘s Tyler Hoechlin), and intrepid reporter Lois Lane (Grimm‘s Elizabeth Tulloch).
Episode 9:
Earth 90 is decimated. The bad guy picks up a thick book. You failed. You did this to yourselves and now, all of you will perish. He opens the book and it glows. The Flash runs.
Dr. John is a psychiatrist. My patients feel inferior. Some people are born lucky. How can we ever feel like supermen or super women without becoming super ourselves. He wants to use eugenics to change humans. People leave the lecture.
Idiots! In the parking lot. Bad guy comes to him. I need your help, John. I've traveled far in this place and time to lay this precious burden at your feet. Show them what a real man can do. You have vision. That book holds the key to your transformation. All you have to do is open it. Use it wisely, John. The universe is at your hands. Word of advice - think big.
Storm over Central City. Oliver wakes in Barry's bed. Iris is calling honey to breakfast. She serves pancakes. He's in the photos. Look, babe, they're perfect this time. He asks where's Barry? She mentions Cicada. Who's Cicada? What's wrong? Talk to me. Oliver says I did not get enough sleep. She asks if it's her cooking. He smells the pancakes. No. She tells him to ask for a day off. You've earned it. He mentions going into Star Labs. It amuses her. She calls him Barry Allen. Heh. There's a break in at Ivo Labs. She'll meet him there. He starts using super speed. She gives him the suit ring. He figures out how to get in it and looks in the mirror. Oh, Barry, what have you done this time? Ivo break in for diamonds. Hang a U, you passed it by 18 blocks. Cisco tells him to hit the guy with a lightning charge. Oliver says you have failed this city. Ducks from bullets and he's in speed. then he figures out how to toss and it's overkill, much?
A cyborg was powered up.
Caitlin checks him out. Oliver's surprised he's in perfect shape. He tells Iris to lay off the PDA. LOL. Cisco hugs him. Oliver's going home. I need to think. They follow him into the hallway. You haven't seemed like yourself all morning. Oliver says he's going to go see Oliver Queen.
Barry and Dig. Diggle sparring with "Oliver" at ARGUS. Barry asks if they redecorated the bunker. LOL. He uses a bunch of moves and uppercuts John. Barry says I'm Oliver Queen. I'm the Green Arrow! Holy crap.
**There were a couple Smallville costumes on Earth 90. Kind to do the Easter eggs.
Barry sees all the scars and tattoos on himself. He wants to call Star Labs. John gets an alert and asks Oliver to back him up. We're the only ones who can make it in time. Suit up. Barry asks if he needs help putting this on.
Fighting with the bad guys. Barry doesn't know which arrows are which. But Oliver's body instincts are working. Oliver speeds in and picks up them both. John pukes again.
Barry doing the salmon ladder. Oliver tells him don't do that. Barry's excited by the freaky Friday. Oliver tells him to focus and take this seriously. 90 seconds of seriousness. Oliver prefers to wake up in his own bed. You woke up with Iris? We have to fix this now!
They go to Star Labs Team Flash and can't figure out they are who they say they are. Something is very, very wrong with reality. Sherloque calls them aside to talk.
Oliver wants to keep moving if they don't believe them. Barry tells him to convince Iris. Tell her she's your lightning rod. Oliver's not saying that. Barry says it works every time. LOL. Oliver talks to Iris. Felicity called her while Oliver was in prison. He cut a deal and didn't tell her. FBI took him away. Oliver's life is defined by anger and vengeance. That's why I'm grateful to have you in my life. He pushes about reality being screwed up. Then gets woozy. They drugged him with nanites from Ray Palmer to get him to a safe place until they figure this out. Barry gets knocked out, too.
In the pipeline. Barry yells to the team. Let us out of here! Oliver asks why are we in your secret prison? LOL. Barry says we just convince them we're not crazy. Maybe it's just Earth 1 that's affected. Maybe Earth 38.
Red skies, yellow lightning. Caitlin will run the scans again. Cisco gets vibes. Sees the bad guy. Who the frak is that?
Oliver rants about there not being a toilet. Barry reveals one. Oliver wants to back up the toilet. Dislocate your thumb. Man up, apply pressure to the joint, and dislocate your thumb! Dampener is down. So now Oliver has to phase them out of here. Barry explains. Want any advice? Oliver laughs at him. Your thumb looks ridiculous. Then he figures out the phase. and they get out of the pipeline. Get the extrapolator and get out of here. Iris can't let them. Barry appeals to her. Joe brought me to the house. I said my dad didn't do it. And you said I believe you. I need you to believe me again. Iris, you're my lightning rod. She hands over the extrapolator.
Smallville theme music!!!!! Smallville, KS Earth 38. Lois and Clark. Kara in the barn. Lois says you know the siren call of a story that has to be written. She went to Argo City with Superman. She set foot on what's left of Krypton. I have to write about it. He says you're already the most famous and feared reporter on two planets. She says you make 21 cents on the dollar more than me. She's going to hammer things. He says be careful about the ladder, it's old. She says you'll catch me.
Kara and Clark talk about their identities. Kara has to leave the DEO. He apologizes for being at Argo at the time. Lois makes some noise and says she's okay. He liked being there with Lois as strange visitors. There's something I need to talk about. Barry and Oliver arrive! Kara recognizes them correctly. She introduces them to Clark. The super cousin? He says welcome to our farm. Oliver puffs out his chest. HA.
Ivo Labs being destroyed by the robot. Guard shoots and it knocks him down. Then flies off. Killer Frost says he has our powers.
Shooting arrows. Oliver training Barry. You need combat training. Barry tells him to run over there and run at me and I'll try to hit you. Barry set up a trap to shoot Oliver in the back. Waiting 4 years for that! Takes a photo. Oliver gets pissed. Fine, fine, come at me, try to get one hit in. Lois cheers for Barry. Barry says this isn't how I train. Oliver keeps taunting him. You can't go more than 9 hours without a sappy motivational speech. Pushes until Barry puts Oliver on his back. If you knew how to use my speed, I never would've laid a hand on you.
Team Flash discusses the robot. Sherloque brings Iris in. You let them out. She says I felt like I was really talking to Barry. Cisco believes it. It's WEIRD out there. Some guy with ridges on his head and big mutton chops. And it's not even Tuesday. Amazo enters city limits.
Crashes through a building. Searching for metas.
The farm. Oliver and Barry. Barry says you were trying to help in your Oliver way. Oliver says I've done this a long time. Lessons come with painful memories. I channel those memories. I draw on a darkness every time I draw my bow. So you laughing with my abilities pissed me off. Barry says when I'm happy, I run faster. You phased when you were having a good time. And Barry couldn't dislocate his thumb until he got angry. They need to act more like each other. Kara says finally. You have to act the part! She mimics Oliver's voice and they laugh. Cisco arrives. You believe us now? Yeah. We all do. Sorry you locked us up. Please, for the love of God, there's a killer robot in the city kind of needing help. Will you come home? Kara volunteers, too, and so do Clark and Lois. Who are you? Clark reveals the costume under his shirt.
Amazo lands. Tosses a cop car. Cisco returns with the super friends. They all attack the robot. Trying to keep it off balance before it replicates their abilities. Finish him. Superman flies in. Oliver says nice work. Barry says we got lucky. Amazon bursts out. And now he's got the abilities. Superman attacks it and it's not working. Now it has their powers.
Iris asks Cisco to stop it. Sherloque says it's a computer. Turn it off.
They can't fight what they can't hit. Bring it back here. Knock him down. He won't be able to phase and run at the same time. Oliver uses the speed to get it to follow him. Amazo takes down a framed building with cold. Following Oliver.
They have a virus for Amazo. How do they put it in? Iris says maybe it has their weaknesses. Barry says we're going to send it to Hell and gives orders. Amazo is down. Don't miss. Barry aims. Hurry up! Amazo, you have failed this city. Barry shoots. And Amazo blows up. Super friends get up. Oliver thumbs up to Barry.
**It's hilarious how being each other does NOT fit on Barry and Oliver. Especially Barry. We've seen moments of lighthearted Oliver, but Barry being gritty is like a man wearing the wrong shoes.
Star Labs. Amazon locked up in the vault. Sherloque congratulates them. Maybe this body swap thing is working. Iris says no, we need to reverse it. Caitlin hasn't figured it out. Clark needs to get home. Sherloque wants to give him a check. Alimony to 3rd wife on Earth 38. Deliver this, please. Clark says you're welcome. Superman, I can trust him, right? LOL.
Barry asks Iris if she's okay. No. You did a great job with Amazo, but at what cost, Barry? She let them go because she listening to her heart. You, Barry Allen, had always been and will always be the man I love. He promises to always show his true face. She says promise me when you're back in my arms, you'll come back to me. I heard what you said before you took that shot. You're the Green Arrow now. But please don't become Oliver Queen. He promises. Cisco calls him to the workshop.
He tells them about the vibe. It felt like something important. Oliver says we need to see it. They touch him and there's the scene with Dr. John. Bad guy thinks it's fascinating. But none of you can stop this. None of you can alter what's about to happen. Cisco has a bloody nose. Oliver sketches the guy and the scene. Gotham.
Batwoman on a tower.
Next ep - Arrow. Gotham. Arkham. And meeting Batwoman.
