"Life Was So Much Easier When I Only Cared About Myself"
HEROES SAVE THE DAY - When things take a dark turn on the twins' 17th birthday, Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) is left to make a difficult decision. Meanwhile, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) takes drastic measures when she and Alaric (Matthew Davis) clash over how to handle an issue involving Josie (Kaylee Bryant). Episode 15:
Running in the woods. Raf falls. Necromancer.
Landon asks him to sit with them at morning assembly. And Raf goes the opposite way.
Ric telling the kids that Josie is still missing. But under no circumstance should any of you approach her. She's not herself. Your safety and Josie's is my top priority. He promises to bring her back safely. First, we have to find her. She walks in. Floats down to ground level. Did you think I'd miss my birthday? Caresses Lizzie. Sorry.....our, birthday. So, what did I miss?
Josie has a new squad. With a black magic suggestion spell. Start prepping my birthday bash. MG gives her a replacement book he spilled root beer on when they met. She hugs him. Then starts magic. Kaleb rescues him. Hope is worried.
Vardemus and Ric. Open the box toward your subject and they're sent into the game. Someone knocks. Vardemus disappears. Hope and Kaleb enter. Don't think the box plan is great. Kaleb doesn't think Josie can be reached. They think they need to treat it like a monster problem. Hope sends Ric into the box.
Landon catches up to Raf. That's a lot of blood. Raf flashes back again. Landon asks what was that? Raf tells him he gets flashes of memory of this place. I think somebody died. Who? I don't know. But I'm pretty sure I killed them.
Lizzie and Hope. Minions decorating for the party with black. Josie tells them to ask. I don't bite. Where is Josie? The real Josie. Josie says Oh, the weak one. She's gone. I thought I made that clear. Lizzie says come back and I'll try to change. Josie says it never sticks. So pass. Hope says Josie knows they'll try to reach the good in her. You came back here for a reason. Josie reveals the banner. Happy Merge Day. Lizzie says we're not 22. Josie says that's just a guideline. Don't be late, Lizzie, or I'll have to do something drastic.
Night. Ric is Indiana Jones again. Thought for a long time Matt Davis looks like a young Harrison Ford.
Lizzie and Hope and MG. Lizzie is packing to run. Hope's plan is a potion. Fortified locality in Lizzie's psyche when they merge. We'll put Jo's mind back in her body after she's detoxed. But Lizzie has to win. Lizzie says Lord Josiemort is going to squash me like a bug.
MG there to train her. Sit ups and magic target practice. LOL. Lizzie says it's a mental battle, not magic ninja warrior. Lizzie knows who to talk to to find a witch that will tell her how to win.
Necro and Chad. Chad says Hope always has an awesome plan, and somehow time for relationships, too. Josie astral projects to them. Who the hell are you? Necromancer goes on and on about himself. She says I thought you'd be taller. Chad is just chad. Josie is shocked they're the masterminds behind the Malivore situation.
Vardemus helps Raf and Landon. Disappears. Nice guy. A bit gullible. Landon doesn't think Raf killed anyone. Raf doesn't believe as much. The face will have answers. Blood on the silver tray.
Alyssa and Lizzie. You're terrified. You're not scared of Josie hurting you. You're scared of hurting her. Lizzie says I've hurt her so much already. Alyssa says fearing winning and losing will make you a dead duck. Lizzie will lose because she became a better person. Josie shows up. Snaps Alyssa's neck. Was that drastic enough for you? If you don't show up tonight, I'll kill your actual friends.
**Well, that's crossing a certain line. As the vamps and wolves can tell, taking a life changes you.
**Still find it strange that Dark Josie in the prison world was a blunt version of herself with the dark magic. She saved everyone she needed to save. But she gets back to the real world and goes full evil?
Jed upset about losing Alyssa. Kaleb takes him out for some air. MG tells Hope that Lizzie's car is gone. Hope didn't think Josie was capable of this. Kaleb says there is no getting through to Josie. Hope isn't giving up now. MG, bring Lizzie back. She needs you. We all do. Kaleb opens the weapons room. Hope puts him in the box.
Ric finds Kaleb. Who is now an English archaeologist. You will need assistance getting over that wall.
A head forms on the platter for Raf.
MG catches up to Lizzie gassing up. Locator spell? Lizzie knows she's being selfish, but what is she supposed to do? Die at the school? MG says Hope doesn't want anyone hurt. If you're running, I'm running, too.
Hope wants to talk to Landon. Raf is not in the room. Landon says there's nothing you can do to push me away. And I'm an immortal phoenix. She doesn't know how to protect the school and fix Josie at the same time.
Report to the gym, or else. Necromancer ringmaster! Theeeeeee Merge! They boo him. Thought he was dead. Josie introduced. She walks in with an entourage and evil smirk. Alyssa is up. Chad lets Josie into the ring. You're one hell of a hype man. Necro introduces Lizzie but no one's walking in. Josie takes the mic. My selfish sister didn't show up. Who am I going to kill? Vampires? Witches? Werewolves? Hope enters the ring. Superhero landing. Why not try all three?
**Do you think Hope has the power to defeat Josie without being possessed?
Lizzie asks MG if he's up to this. He is done playing hero. Alyssa died. I couldn't help her. Lizzie asks if Superman always saves the day. He says pretty much, but that's a comic book and this is real. Lizzie says the true test of a hero is being strong when it's hard. But I'm not a hero, either. Heroes are selfless. He says then why haven't we left? He trusted her to make the right decision. She says double dammit!
Kaleb tells Ric your plan isn't working. We need to work together. Let me help you or shoot me. Ric shoots a snake. I hate snakes. LOLOLOL. Word forms for Ric. He remembers.
Raf at the lake. Landon finds him. Raf says you wouldn't understand. Landon says whatever you did, I'll stand by you. Raf shows him the tray. What is this? Raf died by that tree.
Hope and Josie battle. Blue magic vs red. Hope goes down. Josie says this isn't fun. You're not fighting back. Hope thinks the real Josie is strong. You're always there for your friends when they need you. Josie yells at everyone to shut up. Hope? Jo, is that you? Then her eyes are black again. I don't even think she likes you. She floats Hope. Hope tells Josie to fight. Josie drops Hope to stake her. Lizzie saves her. Siphoning from MG. Black isn't your color. Josie says you're late for your funeral. Lizzie says no, I'm right on time to Kick. Your. Ass.
**Lizzie doesn't have the raw power to defeat this juiced up Josie, so how will she win? She needs contact with a magical being or object.
**If Raf is dead, then he's resurrected by the Necromancer, too.
Lizzie gets in the ring. The potion tasted like feet. Hope thanks her for coming back. MG tells Lizzie to siphon him. She kisses him. That was for you and not me, just in case I lose. Alright, Sister Satan, let's dance. But she won't get her merge on unless the rest of the school is safe. Necromancer gives them a knife to cut their hands. They grip and start chanting the merge. Their eyes are white. MG asks if he's winning? Hope doesn't know. If she can't, there's plan B.
Landon says you can't be dead. That doesn't make sense. Raf heard Necro's voice on the intercom and he remembered. Attacked at the bus station. I fought, then I ran. Chad stabbed him. Necromancer laughed. He killed me. If he brought me back, I'm one of his puppets. He can use me to hurt you and anyone else he wants. He puts Landon's hand on his chest. Fell a heartbeat? I'm already gone. Landon can't let him do this. Raf had all the time before he got here. It's like he won't let me. The Necromancer is in control. Take care of it for me. You mean kill you? Absolutely not. You're my brother. Raf says I don't have free will. You do. Don't let me be a puppet, man. You have free will. Use it.
Merge hands down. They both fall. Lights out.
Landon in pain. Can't do this right now, Hope. Landon is plan B.
Ric and Kaleb come into the gym. Ric goes to Lizzie. Necromancer says this was all the birthday girl's idea. Josie says don't cry, Dad. One less mouth to feed.
**Pacing of the season didn't allow us to see Josie struggle with the dark after coming back from the prison world.
Ric addressing the kids. The Josie we loved is gone. So is Lizzie.
Necromancer and Josie watch magically.
Lizzie on a sofa. Kaleb tells Ric he bought it. Lizzie wakes. Ric hugs her. MG hugs them. Hope had a hell of a plan. Lizzie says I won? Josie thinks she won. Hope linked Lizzie to Landon temporarily. You came back when he did. MG helped Hope do a vampire head dive. He sent Hope into Josie's mind. Lizzie wonders why she wasn't told? Couldn't risk it. So....Hope's in Josie's mind? There's more to that.... Hope in the weapon room behind the bookcase. The Necromancer is spying on us, so we have to play to his camera.
Necro wants Malivore raised. Josie says if he gets his hands on Landon, Malivore will be invincible.
Raf couldn't leave. Necro wouldn't let him. Landon says we'll deal with him. You don't have a choice. All in. Always. They hug. Raf has no choice. His eyes go white and he stabs Landon with the golden arrow. Fulfilling the prophecy. Landon dead.
