“Girl… You’ll Be A Woman, Soon”
THINGS TAKE A TURN ON SARAH’S (INDE NAVARETTE) BIG DAY – Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui), Kyle (Erik Valdez), and Sarah (Inde Navarette) prepare for Sarah’s quinceañera, but things don’t end up going as smoothly as they had hoped. Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) finds himself struggling with feelings of guilt about what happened to John Irons (Wole Parks), and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) worries that she might have been wrong about Ally (guest star Rya Kihlstedt). Meanwhile, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) learns that Ret. General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh) is planning to train Jordan (Alex Garfin). Lastly, Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) goes searching for the truth about Lois. Tayler Buck also stars. The episode was directed by Diana Valentine and written by Rina Mimoun & Adam Mallinger (#205). Metropolis 1978. Little girl inherits a pendant from her father. No pendant, no inheritance. Her guardian pleads with her to end the cycle of family destruction. She takes the inheritance. Now it's up to you to finish your father's life's work.
Present day. Ally says prepare tea. We have a very important guest coming and I want to show her everything.
Lois made a care package for Nat to take to the hospital. Clark is still guilty about John. Lois questions whether she's wrong about Ally. Maybe I did destroy my sister's life for no reason. She's going to go through her notes again. Boys want banana muffins. Clark says not fair, but she saved him one, too. Lois tells the boys to stay here and help the people setting up the barn for Sarah's quince.
Kyle and Sarah practicing the father daughter dance. Then he takes Lana into his arms. Sarah says ew. Phone rings. Tanya Martinez. Kyle says it's work. Sarah wants to return to their original name, Cortez. Grandfather thought he needed to be a Cushing to get a job back in the day. Kyle says times were different. He hasn't told Grandma in case Sarah changes her mind.
Superman visits Tag. Kid still has broken ribs. I'm sorry for your loss, Tag. He asks Tag where the pendant is. He gave it to the general during his briefing. Tag thanks him for saving his life.
Farm. Grandpa arriving for Jordan. Johnathan is curious. Jordan admits he's training me. But don't tell Mom and Dad. Your father may need Jordan's help one day and I'd like your brother to be prepared. He asks Johnathan to help. You can keep this between us? Sure.
Paper. Chrissy came to grab notes. She feels like she works for Lois. You decide what I need to know. You can't pick and choose what facts you think are important. You did the same with Morgan Edge. It makes me look like an idiot. Lois apologizes. Chrissy says if you want the truth, you have to find it on your own. Lois spots Dr. Faulkner in the video.
Dr. Faulkner arrives somewhere and Bizarro is lurking.
**I wondered if they'd say why the Cushings were Hispanic.
Superman confronts the general. Who asks why didn't you tell me that thing is you? Superman says it's not. I'm going to stop it. He came for the pendant. General implying Superman's motives aren't pure. He won't give Superman the pendant. Bring me the other Superman and maybe we can discuss getting your jewelry back.
Sarah's awkward in her dress and heels. Nice that they chose a dress that still fits the tradition while not being an '80s frilly over the top thing that Sarah would never touch. Lana helps her practice walking. If you fall, I'll always catch you.
Clark returns to Lois and they update each other. She gives him a dry cleaning slip. He's eager to see her in her dress again. The quince is in 5 hours.
Jordan's holding back. Sam tells Jon to get them some water.
Chrissy interviews Ally and her tea is drugged. She passes out before she can escape.
Lois enters the office at the quarry and Bizarro is there. He killed Dr. Faulkner.
Lois called Superman to her. I think I startled him. He looked at me and flew off. Clark suggests Bizarro is married to some version of Lois in his world. Lois says maybe we're chasing the same enemy.
Ally's assistant is worried they need a defib to bring Chrissy back. Ally says every journey is different, let the pendant guide her. Chrissy gasps awake. What is that?! The truth. Congratulations, you have ascended.
Jon considering the inhaler. Takes the drug.
Jordan hitting the punching bag. Jon returns. Snarky. He wants to spar with Jordan. Are you scared or something? Sam says it's Jordan's call. Jon hits him. Jordan punches him back in the chest. Jon is dodging Jordan's swings. Then hits back and knocks Jordan down. Sam tells him he's done here. Jon says maybe you're training the wrong brother.
Kyle brings his mother to the house. She wants a picture of the family dressed up before Mass.
Chrissy says I was a bizarro version of myself. Ally says that's your other half that's been missing. Chrissy says that world was off somehow. But you were everywhere. Lois and Superman arrive. Tell Ally she's in danger. Dr. Faulkner was murdered. By whom? Superman hears him coming right before Bizarro flies through the motel to take him through the other wall.
**So, does the pendant connect to another Earth or another dimension?
Lois says we need to get out of here.
Superman and Bizarro land. He's trying to speak. Superman won't let him kill anyone else. They fight and Superman is stronger. Knocking Bizarro down over and over. fire versus ice. Bizarro locks Superman in ice. You're the opposite of me. He takes bizarro into the sky. Land in the Fortress. Hits him with crystals in hands. Until Bizarro is knocked out.
The party. Kent Barn is a good place to hold this without spending too much. Mayor showed up. Jordan sees Sarah and can't speak. Johnathan says you look stunning. Jordan says that's not the word. LOL. Lana tells Sarah to show the boys a table.
Clark returns to the house and tells Lois that his mom is going to work on the other guy. They kiss and she leads him to the party.
Jon and Jordan at the bar. Jordan asks Jon what his problem is. Jon says you think everything is about you all the time. I'm just better than you and you should get used to it, because I'm only getting stronger. Sarah asks Jordan to get some air.
Lois and Clark arrive. Kyle gets a text and makes an awkward excuse to get away.
Sarah's feet are killing her. Jordan offers to massage them. She says maybe when we're old in our forties. He tells her Jon is acting like a different person. Maybe he's in a bad mood. Sarah talks about when her depression arrived. Don't let it go, that's all. I know adult stuff. How much? They kiss on the porch.
Kyle meets a woman outside. There's nothing to talk about, Tanya. What do you want? She called her girlfriend.... You told her? She told her friend and she thinks the mayor's campaign would pay for the info. Wanted him to know. I'd never do anything to hurt you, Kyle. All I wanted was to be with you. They go separate ways. Sarah and Jordan see at least that part.
Clark tells kyle is good to see your mom again. Kyle tells him I made a huge mistake and I think my family's about to pay for it. Mayor chatting with Lana. She says it's the Cortez family now. She asks if he's seen Sarah. Kyle says I'll go look for her. Lana goes, too.
Chrissy gathering snacks. Lois confronts her about not telling she was going to Ally. Tells Lois that Ally drugged me. I crossed over to another world where I saw another version of myself. This was everything your sister said. It's real. She's scary. Everyone is terrified of her there. She's taken over the country....maybe the world. You weren't wrong about Ally. She's dangerous. We have to do something.
Lana hugs Clark and thanks him for letting them have the party there. Father daughter dance time. Sarah and Jordan return. She takes center. Kyle puts the tiara on her and they dance. His mom is teary. Sarah won't look at him. Sarah stops. Sniffly. Kyle asks what's wrong? She tells him how could you do that? I heard you. She flees. Kyle follows. Asks her to calm down. Lana arrives. Sarah says I saw you and some woman! Lana says the girl from the bar? He pleads to talk. She says not now. She focuses on Sarah. Sarah doesn't want to pretend. Lana says we're going to walk in there and celebrate with our family and friends. We've got this. They walk away from Kyle.
**Does Lana know the affair happened at one point?
Lana starts her speech. Her dress is great on her, btw. Sarah still not shaking off the sad. Lana says Sarah is someone who will always fight for what's right even when it's hard. She's strong enough to pick me up and wipe away my tears. You're my inspiration. You're my heart. You're my best friend. There's nothing I would change if it kept you by my side. They love each other and hug. Clark hears his mother say Bizarro is awake. He kisses Lois goodbye and sneaks out.
Fortress. He's your opposite in so many ways. You'll be able to understand him now. Why are you here, Kal-El? To save my world, and yours.
Farm. Jordan texting. Jon apologizes about what happened with Sarah. Jordan asks what's going on? Jon doesn't want to share. Jordan presses. Jon says quit acting like you know everything. Jon gets angry and his eyes light up. Jordan gets excited and wants to tell Mom and Dad. Jon says Dad will pull me off the team. Give me a couple days before he gets involved. Jordan's phone buzzes.
Bizarro says I'm a soldier and there are casualties in war. Ally will destroy everything you love. Your friends. Your family. You'll lose it all. Unless you kill her first.
Next ep - Superman trying to warn about what he learned.
