Episode 13: SERIES FINALE
9 months ago. Digging up Sylvester. Then bringing the body to life. Icicle? Hello again, Starman. What are you doing? You've been in the ground a long time, my friend. You are needed again. Americans will listen to you like no one else. They will do whatever you say. They'll even vote for you. President Pemberton. Dr. Ito likes the sound of it. Jordan says You will be my mouthpiece, Sylvester. Sylvester says great plan. One problem - I'll never work for you. Jordan knows how strong willed he is. That's why we're going to remove it. Saw blade started up. Sylvester starts pleading. Asks what did they do with Stripesy? Where's Pat? The albino gorilla is on a table next to him.
Whitmore Dugan house. Kids are figuring out what Sylvester did. Why would he give you bad advice? To keep us distracted. Keep us apart. Weaken us. Sabotage our confidence. Rick wonders Why not take the staff from Courtney in the first place? Why wait? Barb says we have to find Pat.
Cameron and grandparents return home. Jordan says Starman is on board, but not Courtney and her friends. Something has happened to Courtney's stepfather. He's been killed by the Ultra-Humanite. Sofus says stop lying to the boy! But Jordan and Lily are on the same page. Our enemies will die tonight.
Courtney's phone buzzes. Starman's at the junkyard. Cameron repeats that, then hangs up.
I don't like lying to her. Jordan says this is the best way to offer her our help. Face to face.
Pat digs himself out of the mud. Storm raging tonight.
Cindy and boys get out of the sewer. Tire factory. Gorilla still coming.
Barb is looking for Artemis while the kids go to the junkyard. Starman is with the Mahkents. Jordan says he's here on neutral ground with good intentions. Courtney asks where's Pat? Starman says he's gone. Gives her a story. Pat went into the woods alone looking for the UH, who killed him. Jordan says we need to team up. Courtney doesn't believe it. You're lying to us! Both of you! You've been lying since you came to Blue Valley. Cameron says I wouldn't lie. I'm so sorry. Let's work together and stop that monster before it hurts anyone else. Then STRIPE lands! Pat? Yeah, Court. It's me. That's not Sylvester! It's the Ultra-Humanite. Starman yells why won't Stripesy die?! Lily says you'll freeze, you wicked children.
Ito wants Cindy. You belong with me. You belong to me! She attacks him.
**How does Cameron not speak any Nordic? Kids always pick up some of the language even if they're aren't brought up bilingual. Was he seriously never curious what they were saying over 16 years?
Starman versus STRIPE. Pat fires a fist at him. Then throws a car. UH is using the staff well. Flies at STRIPE and cuts it in half.
Courtney choking on frost. Cameron runs to her. Hourman says you're getting played by your dad. But I'm still going to kick your ass.
Yolanda dodging Lily's strikes. Beth's combat mode turns on.
UH taunting Pat. this could've been perfect for everyone. But you couldn't stay in your lane. Stay dead. You had to fight back. So now, all of you are going to die. Because I will not stop being Starman. Ever!
Beth doesn't want to fight Sofus. He doesn't, either. Lily tells him to kill her. He says no more of this. Lily says do it or I'll kill you, you useless idiot. Yolanda makes a car fall and smash Lily!
Jakeem and Mike. Mike tells him to make a wish. Cindy is being broken. Jakeem calls her the most beautiful woman in the world and wishes for her dad to never hurt her again. Your wish is granted! Her dad is now a plushie!!
UH rips Pat out of STRIPE.
Courtney checks on rick. Jordan says this is your last change. Barb fires at him. Stay away from my daughter! Jordan says it's such a shame. This was going to be so perfect. For all of us! He prepares to fire at Barbara and Cameron intervenes.
They get Rick out of danger.
Barb tells Courtney the staff belongs to you. He had to make you believe it worked for him.
UH is about to kill Pat. Courtney yells the staff doesn't work for you! Cosmo turns off. Then returns to her. They fight over it. You are not worthy! But I am. Cosmo returns to her. She's got her mojo back. I missed you, too. Pat stands. He's got this.
Cameron and Jordan fighting. Jordan begs him to stop. Courtney intercedes.
Pat slugging UH.
Courtney and Icicle fight. Cameron blasts at his dad. Jordan says I only wanted what was best for you. That's all. Then give up. Jordan says do what you have to, or I will. Cameron turns his father into white ice fog and Jordan is blasted away.
Pat gets UH down. Finally not moving.
Cameron supports his grandpa. Stay back. I'm taking my grandfather to get help, then I'm leaving. I betrayed you. I betrayed my own family. My grandmother's dead. And my father...... Courtney says she can help him through this. But he just says goodbye and they disappear.
Basement. Courtney tells Cosmo he can use the fancy crate, but it goes in the pine box. She tells Pat he showed up just in time. He says he's feeling his age today. Sylvester's first adversary Dr. Weerd took me hostage. Sylvester taught him how to disjoint his thumbs to get out of restraints. Saved him one more time. She's sorry it wasn't really him. He is, too. She heard the UH say those horrible things. And when he came back upstairs.... Pat says I heard every word. Thank you. Hugging. Awwww
Hourglass on the table. Rick apologizes to Beth and her parents. They're glad he's feeling better. Thank you for being there for me. Beth, your turn. She tells her parents they were her guides. Because I know that you love me, and I love you, too. And I do need your help. I want your help. So I'm asking for it. Officially. Sidekicks? They're thrilled! Let's talk costumes.
UH's mind is brain dead. Sylvester's body is fine. Courtney wonders about Sylvester's brain. Pat says he lied to us every moment of every day, so I say we keep him on life support. Just in case.
Brain in a jar! Sylvester's brain is alive and stuck in his last moment in a lab high in a mountain. Himalayas? Poor Starman. In a terror loop.
**If Rick's dad could limit the hourglass, then he can learn what he needs to fix it, too. Plenty of time ahead.
Pat and Barb bring Mike to meet his mom at the diner. He asks them to wait outside. They sit by a window. Pat holds Barb's hand.
Walking under an umbrella. Courtney pauses at a house, then approaches the door. Sets her umbrella on the porch. Knocks. A teen answers. Are you Becky? I'm Courtney. I knew your dad.
Mike and mom hug. She waves at Pat. Mike gets back in the car. How'd it go? It was nice. Seems like she's doing good. Good. Thanks for asking if I wanted to see her. Pat is proud of him. Mike calls Barb Mom! All the love......
Courtney gives Becky the letter and baby photo from The Gambler. Becky hugs her. Thank you.
Courtney instinctively feels for her pendant before remembering it's not there.
Rick at Grundy's grave. Everyone comes back for a second chance but you. I miss you, pal. A rumble. And an arm! Solomon Grundy lives.
Dog has the stuffed gorilla. Cindy's amused. Pat making food. Beth's parents are nerding out. Yolanda walks aside and uses her phone. Calls her mom. I did lie to you, Mom. But...the truth brought my friends closer to their parents. I hope it can for us, too. Everyone sits at the table. Courtney will be home soon.
She's walking the street at night. the Mahkent house is dark. Snow! She turns and Cameron is here. Do you really think you can help me? She runs to him and they hug. Cling to each other.
Copenhagen, Denmark, 3 months later. Jordan. Noises in the dark. A whisper. Icicle. He searches. Goop. Petroleum jelly laced with chemicals. Artemis found him. It even burns on water. This is for my parents. She lights him on fire! He's screaming as he struggles. Falls. She lifts her mask. You're not coming back this time. Mr. Mahkent.
10 years from now. The Shade is leading a TOUR. Museum to....the JSA! The round table of all we know. Hourman and Dr. Midnite are getting married! He's officiating. And with them is Solomon Grundy. They stopped the ISA from brainwashing America. Brought the true Sylvester back to life. Then rescued the Seven Soldiers of Victory from Nebula Man. The greatest heroes the world has ever seen. But they won't be the last. There are new generations waiting to rise up. Nothing can destroy the Justice Society of America. Flash ran through the table! JSA is needed. Including you now, old friend. Gather the troops. Our adventures are not over. Are they ever?
