Episode 13, season finale:
**Last ep of the season. I lament the suport of the first two seasons, especially when we're facing a reduced season 4 (10 episodes) that is likely to be the last for this show unless there's a miracle.**
32 days since Lex was released from prison. What now? Who do you become? Is it possible to pick up where you left off? To reinvent yourself? All the world, including me, is wondering what Lex Luthor will do next. Montage of scenes with our characters, ending with Lois on a table getting a scan.
Lois and Clark with Sam in the kitchen. Clark hasn't been able to find Lex. Sam says Luthor knows he has to go through me and Superman to hurt you, and that's not going to happen. Boys are halfway through high school. Jordan, do you have summer plans, yet? Not really. Clark reminds him that being benched is on Jordan. Boys leave. Sam tells Clark to not let the anger in Jordan fester much longer.
Kyle wakes Chrissy. He made her an omelet and she runs to puke in the bathroom. Are you...? Pregnant? Think so. Did you take a test? Last night. Okay.... She wasn't sure what to say. Only imagine what you're thinking right now. He's thinking...that he loves her. And the best thing to happen to us since the first time we kissed. She'd kiss him now if she hadn't just puked. He says wow, we're having a kid. She asks if he's sure. Yeah. You? Yeah. She wonders how they tell Lana.
Who's been having smiley times with John Irons. He says he's had things to take care of after the Mannheim situation. She thanks him for helping with that. And says he made her a great meal. He says we should do that again some time. Or drinks. No pressure! She says drinks sound great.
Clark found files. Has an idea to go through an old case. Lois says I think I'm ready. For? Us. She doesn't want to be afraid to be intimate. I don't know how it'll go, but I want to at least try. Right now? Right now. Here? No. They speed off to Italy.
A lovely little room. His glasses are off. She's in a robe. Nervous. Soft sunlight. He says you don't have to be. She takes it off. Lifts his hand to her chest. He kisses her. Pulls his shirt off and returns to making out.
**The care they've written into handling Lois' cancer has been beautiful.
Clark and Lois have something to talk to the boys about - a family trip to Italy! Tal has a villa there. We thought it'd be good to get a break as a family. Diner tonight, 6 o'clock, don't be late. Clark says they're not wrong about us bribing them, though.
Kyle at Lana's. Chrissy's pregnant. Tells her and the girls. Wow. Yeah. Surprised me, too. Sophie is happy she's not the baby anymore. Kyle knows Lana wanted another and this was not planned--- She says she's happy for him. Hugs him. You're a great dad. That baby is so lucky to have you. That means a lot. She just asks to spoil the baby rotten. He wouldn't have it another way.
John picking a shirt. Natalie doesn't like the red one. Sam comes in and thinks he's giving away the shirt lol. He's got a new proposition - moving to Metropolis. I need an answer by the end of the week. New work for the DOD and Nat would go to school where Matteo is enrolled.
Setting up chairs in the town. Jon tells Coach he's going to make it up to him. Coach says that'll never happen. Remember that as you're picking up those chairs.
Clark and Lois come to the Gazette and Chrissy is awkward. Lois says spill. Chrissy tells her about the baby and Lois is thrilled. Clark heard something. He congratulates her. Then says I'm sorry. Judge Regan has been murdered.
Clark and Lois go to the scene in Metropolis. This wasn't Mannheim. It was Luthor. Lois says he's sending me a message.
**I know someone that just went through mastectomy surgery after treatment for ovarian cancer. Has the gene. Mindset really matters. None of it's easy - but women are not alone.
Luthor is going after everyone he blames for going to prison. Lois is worried. They need to protect everyone on the list. Clark is reassuring. Let's get back to the boys.
Sam introduces a lady to the kids. How long have you two been....? Sam says a few dates. He says save us seats. He wants to talk to Nat about Metropolis when he comes back.
Lana and John. She is happy for Kyle and Chrissy. She thinks she and Kyle are better as friends than as a couple. Saying goodbye to that history was the hardest part of the divorce. John knows what that's like. They toast. He tells her about creating tech for the DOD. Official. Bigger scale. But he needs to relocate to Metropolis. If I would've known yesterday.... Just wanted to be upfront about it. She says he doesn't need to apologize. She's happy he asked her out.
Boys with Clark and Lois in the diner. Update them. Clark suggests he and Jordan could fly the family to Italy. It's about WHY you use your talents. Wanting to help people, if that's your true north, you'll never need anything else. Sarah asks if they need anything else. Jordan is still snippy.
Sam and his date. He gets a call. But she wants to make out in an alley. Sam wants to get back to the kids. And a van shows up - she tases him from behind! Load him up. Let's get him back to LUTHOR.
**Sam! This is super scary considering Dylan Walsh isn't returning, according to his wife. I hope whatever happens to resolve this doesn't happen offscreen. That would suck for Lois etc. Oh! Did they film some content before the season ended? Some shows started that due to the writers strike when it was still pending. Let's hope S&L filmed a resolution to whatever cliffhangers are coming so that exists regardless of Season 4.
Clark wants matching t-shirts. Lois suggests a lot of photos together. Lois goes with Jon outside. Clark stays with Jordan to talk about Sarah. Sometimes when people are hurt, they take a small thing and turn it into a big thing. Jordan feels terrible around her. Clark says it's been months. Does it really feel that way? Maybe not as much. Clark tells him to make things right and gives him cash to pay the bill. Jordan goes to Sarah and starts apologizing. She thanks him. But says it's pretty obvious we shouldn't be friends right now. He agrees. She hopes things do get better. He offers a handshake. She accepts. He says see you around.
Sunset. Lana and John still in the bar. She wonders what it'd be like to live in Metropolis. If it's sophisticated. Asks if there was something wrong with her security system. Heh. He did need an excuse. Been a long time. She strokes his hand. She wants to give him a reason to consider not moving. They leave - and start undressing at his place. Rawr!
Dark. Natalie looking for Sam. He was supposed to meet me 20 minutes ago and he stopped answering his texts. Clark hears the phone in the alley. Lois says her dad would never leave his phone behind. Clark goes to find Sam.
Livestock walked past Lex. Dinner for Bizarro. Lane taken care of? Won't be an issue. Did you get what I asked for? Then it's time to go kill the Man of Steel.
**What's the remote thingy?
33 days ago. Lex finding Bizarro in the basement. Otis gets attacked. Bizarro bit his ear off. Lex fires at Bizarro until he stops moving. Otis says he ripped off my ear. Lex says put pressure on it. Bizarro's moving. Thought you killed that thing. I did. He shoots again. Come on.....you can do it. Bizarro is growing. Comes back to life. Welcome back, friend. Lex shoots him again. Laughs.
Chains Bizarro up. Told you. Every time you die. Just makes you stronger. This is a gift. A wonderful gift. If you let me help you. Can I kill you? Again, and again. Let me kill you, so nothing in this world can stop you. Ever. NOTHING. Do you want that? DO YOU? Bizarro nods.
Casette tapes. Lex playing music for killing Bizarro. He's back. Lex uses methods over and over. Painful ways to die. Torturous. Stay with me. You need more! MORE MORE MORE! They all shoot him. Drown him. Burn him. Bizarrow is transforming. Shot again. Lex made this thing indestructible. Off to a good start.
Smallville. Coach on the PA. He has something thank. Specifically not Jon, though.
Lana and John Irons giggling on the street. Heading to the town gathering.
Meteor shower soon. Kyle asks for the mic. He announces he really loves Chrissy. She's made my life better in so many ways. So without further ado - will you marry me? She giggles and says yes. The town applauds.
Lana and John watching from the street corner. He asks if she's okay.
Superman listening. Drops down in front of Lex's SUV. At the Kent Farm. I won't let you hurt Lois. Or her family. Lex says they're not who you should worry about. Superman asks where's General Lane. Lex says I told Lois I was innocent. I told her. But she didn't have to listen. You're not a hero. Or a martyr. You wear a silly red cape. Superman asks again about General Lane. Lex asks Ever think about dying, Superman? Because you're about to. He uses the device from earlier. Something on fire lands on the barn. DOOMSDAY! Who roars. Superman has a WTF look on his face.
What has he done to you? Lex says he'll try to kill you. Unless you kill him. Lois should've taken my offer. Doomsday flings Superman around. Lex says when you're done, bring me his heart.
Superman lands in town. Looks at his family. Then flies up with Doomsday. They fight in the skies. Land in the water somewhere. Superman uses freeze breath. Doomsday in ice. Superman flies him up. But Doomsday is melting. Superman tosses him to be impaled on a building. Doomsday roars. Superman lands on the ground and tells the city folk it's okay. It's okay.
Then he looks up. Music playing. Nothing seems to kill me. Doomsday comes back to life and frees himself. Superman flies up at him.
Doomsday slams him down into the subway system. Beating Superman against surfaces over and over. Superman stands up. Doomsday runs at him. Punches Superman. He's hurt. Doomsday beats on him over and over. Picks up Superman and floats up. The city sees.
Up into the sky.
Jordan can't hear Clark breathing anymore. Lois whispers to him, pleading. Memories of love. Superman is healing. Wakes and sends Doomsday to the moon!
They ready to battle again. Fly at each other on the moon. And that's it!
