AL SAH-HIM TAKES HIS FINAL STEPS TO ASCENSION; ROY AND THEA REUNITE — Oliver/Al Sah-him (Stephen Amell) finishes his training and is left with two final tasks to become the next Ra’s al Ghul. Ra’s (guest star Matt Nable) threatens Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) and delivers some shocking news. Meanwhile, Malcolm (John Barrowman) makes a surprising offer to Team Arrow and Thea (Willa Holland) goes to see Roy (Colton Haynes). Episode 22:
Ra's says immolation leaves a blank slate to build anew. Maseo demanded an audience of me, but you gave me the Alpha and Omega. We see Oliver's face react!! Ra's tells him you will marry my daughter, ascend to Ra's Al Ghul, then fly to Starling City carrying death itself.
Diggle chasing a criminal. He hates when they run. Canary blasts the gang with the Cry. She and Diggle take them down. Diggle keeps punching a guy. Felicity yells at him to stop.
Felicity and Laurel enter Diggle's place from the back. Felicity says you're in denial. He says no, I am angry! Oliver was my best friend and he kidnapped my wife. And you think that justifies hospitalizing people? No, it doesn't. Won't happen again. Felicity says my Oliver died the day he joined the League. This is something else! Laurel says you really believe that. She says I have to.
Thea packs to go to Roy. Malcolm says Roy went through a lot of trouble to start anew. Thea is adamant she needs to be with Roy. It's the only thing that makes sense right now.
Nyssa isn't hungry. Ra's says you will have a child with Al Sah-him. And you will have no more say in it than your mother was given. Oliver says he's still coming to grips with the idea of marriage. He will take a walk to clear his head.
Outside, is...Malcolm! You're late. Things are worse than we thought. ha!
Oliver tells Malcolm about the virus. I thought we'd have more time. When you explained the destruction of Starling City would be part of the Ascension, I thought it would take months. Malcolm leaves and Maseo arrives.
Hong Kong. Akio is dying. Tatsu tells him everything will be alright. She sings to him. Maseo wants to go after Shrieve. Maybe they made a cure. Oliver says no. He says I have to try! Okay. I'll help you.
Thea arrives, looking for Jason. Hey, Roy. He's an auto mechanic. She says I have a '67 Mustang. Someone said you were the guy to see. They go talk in private. He says I had to do it for Oliver. She asks if there's somewhere we can go. Roy says my place. Good answer.
Ray is working on the ATOM suit. He asks Felicity if she's okay. She says something happened while you were away. He figures it's Oliver-related. Says I'm your friend. I'll always be there for you. He asks her to sign here and here. What's this for? Corporate stuff, Ms Vice President. It was a Transfer of Ownership.
Maseo says you've been quiet about the Alpha and Omega. He took it before Akio died. I wanted revenge. I'm not strong. Certainly not strong enough for Tatsu. Oliver says when I'm Ra's I can set you free. Maseo says the League is not my prison.
Malcolm gathered the team. What is this about? He says this isn't easy for you to believe, but I'm telling you the truth. Oliver's allegiance with the League is a charade. He trusted you? Malcolm says none of you are good actors. The circle of trust had to remain small! To convince you, I brought along a friend. Tatsu! Your city is in great danger.
Felicity says we've never met her. Tatsu says my life has been one of isolation. OLiver doesn't like to speak about the past. My son was killed by the virus Ra's intends to release on your city. This request comes from Oliver. Malcolm says I'm not playing here. My daughter lives here, remember? I've arranged transportation. Ferris Air, before sunrise.
Thea and Roy get to his place. She asks how normal is going for him. He says I'm so bored. She says that's why I brought you this. The Arsenal suit. She has Malcolm steal it from Impound. She kisses him. They start undressing.
Felicity and Diggle and Laurel watch the video of the AO virus in Hong Kong. Felicity doesn't believe Malcolm. Diggle says it doesn't matter. I'm suiting up. Laurel says me, too. Felicity says I'm not going back there. I can't.
Ra's visits Nyssa. She asks why you force me to marry someone I do not love. He tells her about a woman he met once. A wit and a fire about her I could not live without. She became my concubine and the mother of my child. He shows her a necklace that was his mother's. He says this is my will. You defy that, and you will suffer the pain of a thousand deaths.
Tatsu visits Felicity. Mr. Merlyn said I would find you here. I did not come to convince you. I came to speak with you about Oliver. He spoke of you. His last thought before the fall was of you. You love him still. You must fight for him. Felicity says there is no him left. Tatsu says I thought like you once. I was so convinced my husband was lost to the League, I didn't try to reach him. Don't make my mistake.
Oliver and Maseo in Hong Kong, ready to attack Shrieve. Maseo says my son needs the killer in you. They go in.
Starling City. Tatsu with her blade. It's been passed down in her family. From first son to first son. You're not a son, Tatsu. No, I am not. Laurel and Diggle arrive. Malcolm says the plane is ready. Room enough even for her. Felicity arrives. Threatens Malcolm.
Nanda Parbat. Katana is in full gear. They need to get Felicity into the plane. Malcolm shoots the first scout. And now they're surrounded. Diggle starts firing. Get to the plane! Maseo says surrender now and you might live. Tatsu says it's not too late. He says yes, it is. Malcolm saves Laurel. Maseo removes his mask and pulls his sword. Fights Tatsu.
The plane takes off. Felicity didn't get the hack far enough. Her tablet was destroyed. But she brought Ray. ATOM goes after the fighter plane. And crashes into it to make it explode. He crashes on the ground. Says you should've seen the other guy. LOL.
Maseo gets Tatsu down. He says tell Akio I love him. She stabs him. You tell him for both of us. He says thank you for releasing me from my prison. She cradles him and sings while she weeps.
Felicity helps Ray up. Ra's says you've failed! He still has the vial. Al Sah-him says surrender or die! Team Arrow is surrounded again.
Felicity asks Oliver what's going on. He says if you speak, we'll all die. Trust me. They're brought in to Ra's. How did you know of the virus? Tatsu says Maseo told me and I told them. He said only 3 knew of your plan. You, him, and Oliver. Oliver says Oliver Queen is dead. The wedding news comes out. I'm betrothed to Nyssa Al Ghul. Ra's says take them below.
Roy and Thea in bed. Happy. He asks what are you really doing here? What's going on? She says something happened. I was hurt and to save me Ollie had to accept Ra's offer to join the League. Now he's become someone else. Roy says when bad things happen, your go-to move is to run from Starling. She says I ran to you. Don't you want me to? He says I want the best for you. She says you always have. They cuddle.
Malcolm says worry more about how we'll get out alive. An assassin comes and takes Diggle to Oliver's chamber. Al Sah-him tells the men to leave them. Oliver asks if they're alright. Diggle yells at him. You lost my trust and my respect. A man comes and says Ra's demands we return this man to his friends.
Hong Kong. Maseo and Oliver demand the cure. Shrieve says the Chinese own enough of our debt, or they could decimate us with the largest army. Maseo shoots Shrieve in the shoulder. He points them to the safe. They kidnap him.
Ra's says this sword is so beautiful, yet so dangerous. Like its former owner. He says your betrayal was disappointing. Malcolm offers Oliver up. He's been lying to you all along. Ra's actually looks surprised.
Al Sah-him comes to Ra's. Who says Malcolm says you've been lying to me all this time. Oliver says I've done everything you asked. Oliver Queen is dead and The Arrow is gone. Ra's says we shall see.
Thea wakes alone. Roy? She goes to the auto shop. Jason quit an hour ago. Said to give you this. You made me want to be the man I saw through your eyes. I want to help you be the person you can be beyond Oliver, your father, and me. You deserve better than being on the run. Thanks for the suit, but I always thought red was your color, anyway.
Merlyn is not happy with Ra's. Felicity tries to appeal to Oliver. Tatsu is taken out. The virus is released on Team Arrow. They plead with Oliver. We trusted you! Don't do this! Oliver!
Hong Kong - Shrieve brought to Akio. But he's not breathing. Tatsu says he's gone. Maseo pleads with him to wake up. Shrieve says there is no cure. That's insulin. I'm diabetic. Thanks for bringing me here. Would've taken weeks to track you all down. I hate loose ends.
The temple is prepared for the wedding. Oliver is dressed. Ra's says before the night is over, you'll be Son of the Demon. Nyssa walks down the aisle. There is no vow more sacred than the one between man and woman. With this ceremony, your souls are bound together forever. Nyssa tries to stab Oliver and he blocks it.
Diggle apologizes to Felicity. Team Arrow is unconscious except for them.
The union is sealed.
Felicity and Diggle pass out.
