A FAMILY DIVIDED — After discovering that he’s been betrayed by his own siblings, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) teams up with an unlikely ally and sets off on a warpath, hell bent on revenge. Amidst the news that Klaus is on the loose, Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers), and Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) move forward with their plan to lure Dahlia (guest star Claudia Black) to the compound and take her down once and for all. Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) attempt to escape through the flooded bayou, even as Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) finds himself hunted by a dangerous new threat. Finally, Davina (Danielle Campbell) is presented with an offer that could allow her the chance to bring back Kol, though it will require her to make a life-altering decision. Ep 21:
Cemetery. Stormy night. Rebekah and Davina and Vincent. Time to unlink.
Party on New Orleans streets. Dahlia watches with an umbrella. Klaus confronts a couple in an alley and feeds on them.
Rebekah and Davina chanting. Is it finished? Only one way to find out. Rebekah cuts her hand and Davina has no wound.
Dahlia says you must be hungry. Klaus says I'd never been daggered. Didn't know it was such an agonizing experience. Dahlia says you'll need your strength.
Rebekah tells Elijah it's done. Marcel thinks the storm is Dahlia's. Freya's not happy with Elijah, but she's definitely motivated. Rebekah spots that Klaus is gone.
Klaus kills more people. Dahlia asks if he's had his fill. Indeed. Beginning to feel like my old self again.
Bayou. Everybody's soaked. Hayley tells Mary you should know what you're up against. Mary says combine Solomon Seal and Snapdragon and burn them. If it's white smoke, all clear. Black, a hex in the air. Red, and you're in trouble. Jackson says the road is flooded. Hayley tells him Klaus is gone. We have to go on foot. Jackson and Hayley thank the wolves for sticking with them. She calls them family, pack, but I can't let you risk your lives more than you have. The witch is coming. Jack and I will take Hope and get as far as we can alone. She's grateful for everything they've offered her, us. But I can't be your queen anymore. They all kneel to her. Jackson says you'll always be their queen. He kisses her hand.
Rebekah tells Camille about Klaus. Can you reason with him? You're the only person he'll listen to. Camille says he won't listen to anyone now. Rebekah says he fancies you. Will you help or not? Camille says she'll try.
Klaus's phone rings. He turns it off. He brought Dahlia to Freya's tower. Dahlia wanted him to take swift and monstrous action. This storm is to stop them from running. Are you having second thoughts? He says no. She says we struck a bargain, but I'll take her with or without you. Klaus says you need me. My siblings are capable of evading you from the short year you have awake. She stops the storm. Says she'll kill Hayley if she resists. Klaus says I have something far worse than death in mind for her.
Freya says this is all Dahlia's plan. Rebekah says he'd never ally with her. Freya insists they can't trust Klaus. Freya finished her spell. You can kill her with this. Father's knife. We have a visitor. Elijah tells Gia to leave now. Please. She says Marcel told her about Klaus. I'm done taking orders from you. Is this your way of looking out for me? I'm done playing guessing games. He kisses her. He says you don't have to. Go. Please.
Marcel on the phone. Klaus is in his home. I'm not going to kill you. I need something from you. And I'll rip it out of you. He breaks Marcel's neck. Dahlia comes in.
Freya tells Rebekah you can do the spell to put Hope's heartbeat on me. She envies how hard they fight to protect Hope. And the vow of Always and Forever. Elijah and Rebekah say it's been trouble. Freya says yet you're here. Family matters.
Marcel wakes upside down. Klaus excised the vervain from his system. He also bit several of Marcel's people. He tells Dahlia that my family are bound by love. Marcel will turn the tide, mark my words.
Vincent tells Davina that this will be an easy meeting. Davina says I was put to death by people like this. Vincent says as Regent you can be sure no one does that again. She says she's only doing it to get Kol back.
The wolves. They have to cross a river. The spell detection smoke is white. Mary holds Hope while they figure out where to cross. Jackson asks Hayley if she's okay. She says this was a nice idea, marrying you, having the pack. around Hope, but I'm sick of other people making sacrifices for me, fighting my battles. He says this is what family is. There's no place I'd rather be than right beside you, okay?
Dahlia's song on the church bells. Rebekah does the spell on Freya and the golem. Elijah is ready with the knife. Freya holds the baby. She tells Dahlia she betrayed her siblings. I offer the child if you will release me. Dahlia says How bold of you to try to bargain with what's rightfully mine, but by all means make your case whether I'll release you or kill you once and for all.
They wade across the river. Almost all the way. Get to the road. Get a truck. Let's go!
Vincent brings Davina to the witches. Once witch says Davina is no regent. You offer an inferior candidate. Davina says she's heard enough. For years, the witches lived here in fear. I've stood against the Mikaelsons and I've won. I can build a peace or burn our enemies to the ground. The question is what the hell would you do without me?
Rebekah keeps chanting. Elijah waits. Dahlia is surprised Freya is here. Freya says they wouldn't accept me. Dahlia says I offered to protect you for all time and you left me. Who could love such a deceitful little wretch? Marcel stops Rebekah. The golem disintegrates. Freya grabs Dahlia. Klaus stops Elijah. They fight. Dahlia tossed Freya. Freya says she just wanted to be free. You repay me with a death trap? What do I sense? Blood of the witch I loved, but not the witch I loved most. Your blood was not the key to my demise. Pathetic girl. How should I punish you? I know. I'll send you to bed early.
Elijah tells Klaus she'll take everything from us. Klaus says perhaps I'll take something from you. Klaus compels Gia to take off her daylight ring. She burns while Elijah screams. Klaus says wait and see what I have in store for Hayley. Elijah keeps fighting. Klaus stabs him. Is that Papa Tunde's blade? Camille arrives. Klaus says you shouldn't have come. She says I came because you need me. This isn't you. You're better than this. Dahlia asks if there's a problem. He says not at all. Just another victim. Camille says you won't hurt me. I trust you. He says then you're already lost and feeds on her.
Dahlia says quite a sinister plot. It would've failed, though. Marcel brings Rebekah in. She calls him a bastard. How could you? Klaus tells Marcel to keep her here and kill her if she tries to get away. Marcel tells him to go to Hell. Dahlia needs Klaus's blood to track Hope. He bites his hand.
Hayley and Jackson stop for a night. She wants to think about where we're going. Don't want to spend our entire lives on the run. So, Montana, Dakotas, Washington? He says wherever you want. Hayley tells him she loves him.
Rebekah and Marcel try to get around the compulsion. She says maybe this is Klaus's twisted revenge. Maybe he wants you to kill me so I wake in my body. Marcel says don't run and I won't have to kill you.
Jackson and Hayley hear screaming. It's Klaus's kill. Good evening, Crescents. Jackson says get Hope and Mary and run! The pack surrounds Klaus. He just grins.
*Scared Jackson will die here!
Jackson shoots an arrow into Klaus. Klaus isn't impressed. Jackson says this ain't going to be like last time.
Hayley sees Dahlia. She gives Hope to Mary. Get her as far away as you can. Mama's going to catch up with you. I'm going to rip that bitch apart.
Rebekah and Marcel argue about a plan. Marcel says what if Klaus just wants you dead? She says no, he'll never let me die. So we play this out. You kill me and I wake up in my true body. Marcel pleads with her. She says you really do care for me. She saves him from the act by stabbing her own throat. He catches her dying body.
They fight Klaus. Hayley joins the fight with Jackson. Klaus tosses both off. Dahlia says enough. Hayley asks Klaus why Dahlia's with him. Then she lunges at Dahlia. Dahlia breaking bones with a spell. Klaus says this was my idea. Cursing you to wolf form save for the full moon. Because of the Unification ritual, the pack will share your fate, Queen.
Mary stops the truck, in pain. She's being changed, too.
Hayley pleads with Klaus. Klaus says it was you that tried to steal my child and for that you will suffer. The wolves are changing VERY slowly into wolf form. It's horribly painful.
*Okay, Hope, you'll have to defend yourself.
Davina's ready. She goes to the altar. Fellow Witches of New Orleans, now is your final chance to speak against my rule. No one does. Vincent hands her something in exchange for the torch. Davina says let the past be the past. From now on, we stand together. Here and now begins the Time of the Witches.
Klaus finds Hope. It's all going to be okay, I promise. Dahlia says there she is. Such a beautiful child.
Camille wakes. He talked to her mind and gave her instructions.
Dahlia thanks Klaus. This must not have been easy. Klaus reminds her of her promise.
Camille takes the blade and stabs Elijah to dig in to his chest. He's awake.
Dahlia says I'll bond with Hope, then I can channel her power. Klaus says I think not. You offered an alliance and now you wish to link to her even though you suffer from that sleep spell. I will not condemn her to your fate.
Camille tells Elijah that this was Klaus's trick. He needs us to trust him.
Klaus tells Dahlia to bond to me. Once your sleep spell is broken, then and only then can you link yourself to Hope.
Camille says Klaus had to make it convincing. I know how to kill Dahlia.
Next Monday - The siblings vs. Dahlia. Rebekah's back in her original body!
