CAT AND VINCENT TAKE THE NEXT STEP — Vincent (Jay Ryan) moves in with Cat (Kristin Kreuk) which forces them both to address the rapid changes in their relationship while they investigate a shocking new lead in their hunt to track down who is behind the super-human experiments. JT (Austin Basis) tries to impress Tess’ (Nina Lisandrello) brothers and discovers that there may be some side effects to the medicine he received from Agent Thomas (guest star Arnold Pinnock). Meanwhile, Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson) returns to town with a surprise announcement. David McNally directed the episode written by Roger Grant (#302).
Episode 2:
Cat's place. Vincent bringing in boxes. She asks if he's okay. Yeah. Sure. She kisses him. Asks if things are moving too quickly for him. Nah. She doesn't like this lamp. Asks if they can put it in storage. He says sure. Turns around to text JT. They still need to know what Agent Thomas was working on. Vincent grabs another box. She spots his flat screen TV. He wants to put it above the fireplace. His claws come out and he runs out the door. Ooops.
Cat discusses it with Tess. Worries that Vincent feels she forced him into all this. Tess tells her to not freak out or control the situation. They're at Homeland Security. Cat wants her to run interference so Cat can sneak into Thomas' office. She lifted his keycard from his room.
Searches the office. Nothing in files. She goes to the computer. Hides when someone comes in. He controls the computer with his hands!
Vincent and JT play a video game. Vincent doesn't get why he's Beasting out at the apartment. JT says it's your primal brain. Vincent says it does help when I change the subject. He worries if they have a fight and he Beasts out, what if there's a moment when she can't calm him down? JT's worried about embarrassing himself with Tess' brothers. They're going to a shooting range. Vincent says you worry too much. JT says pot, kettle. Tells Vincent to go home and be the man your woman loves. You'll be fine.
Vincent hears the shower and goes in. It's Heather! LOL. Oooops.
They apologize to each other. Heather starts crying. Says it's not you. It's Matthew. Ex-fiance. He dumped her. Afraid of commitment. Vincent's eyes change and he turns away. She says good luck, since Cat has lived here so long by herself. Vincent's struggling with his Beast. Cat calls. Heather says don't tell. Cat says she found a lead at Thomas' office. Thomas busted a courier recently. She asks him to meet her for back-up. And defrost some hamburger meet for tacos tonight. Vincent gets more Beastie and leaves.
Tess and JT arrive. JT gets a call. Vincent says I almost lost it again. Not getting any better. And now Catherine wants me to help with a lead. JT says stay calm. I gotta go. JT gets set at the range. And one brother says JT has to use his service revolver. It's HUGE. He misses the target. Tess gives him advice. He tries again. Tess tells her brother he's a jerk. He's applying for Captain. Insults Tess. JT hits the target. You owe your sister an apology, Birthday Boy.
Vincent and Cat at the location. She asks if he's alright. Hardly said a word on the ride over. Someone beat them there. Vincent says we're not alone. Cat finds the courier dead. Vincent says the forehead is hot like he's been electrocuted. Lights come on. They chase Electro Man. Corner him. He tosses them with a charge and gets away.
Vincent looks at the damage. The perp is an experiment. I should've tried to stop him. Sorry, I'm a little gunshy. Cat says your problems are my problem, too. He knows, but. She suggests trying to follow the guy. Vincent says there's too much electro-static noise.
Electro-Man uses his power on Agent Thomas. Who did you give my medicine to?
Tess and JT at a bar. JT worries if the medicine used on him had side effects. Maybe I'm an experiment. She says you're just being paranoid. You never give yourself enough credit. He says you could be Captain. You'd be great. She doesn't think so. JT gets a call. From Vincent's hospital.
Cat and Vincent get to Electro-Man's place. He has a brain tumor that's growing. Alton has found a way to excise it. The tumors are activating his brain in unexpected ways. Cat asks why he'd hunt down the courier? Vincent says maybe Alton was given a serum, too. Vincent calls JT. Where are you? JT says I'm at the hospital. They hear JT grabbed. Phone drops.
Alton has JT.
Alton says don't piss me off. Stage 4 tumor gives him the ability to do crazy things. The serum that saved your life better save me, too. It's supposed to heal me. That's what they promised.
Cat tells Vincent to call Tess. He says no, the cops can't fave Alton. Heather calls Vincent. Cat asks why are you asking about Vincent? Heather leaks about the shower. Vincent says hang up now. He hangs up on her. Tess calls Vincent. Cat says JT may have been taken hostage at the hospital. Come alone. Vincent isn't having second thoughts. But there are a few primal issues. Cat says glad it's nothing big.
JT gets the serum out of the centrifuge. Alton says the courier is dead. I pushed too hard and lost control. JT says the pain is getting worse, isn't it? You're seeing white flashes? Yeah. Alton freaks out. JT hits him and runs.
Vincent and Cat get to the hospital. She says you can't kill Alton. People are running out of the hospital.
JT gets to Thomas and gives him the serum. Altonn arrives. JT says it's too late. Alton says it's still in your blood, isn't it?
Vincent's trying to break the door down. Tess arrives and clears people out. Vincent Beasts and breaks the door.
Alton knocks JT out.
Cat tells Vincent to let us save JT. Vincent says going primal is the only way to face Alton. Tess says you have to trust him. Cat says we have too much to lose.
Vincent grabs Alton. JT gets out. Alton attacks Vincent. Cat runs in and yells at them to stop. You're going to kill each other! You have the power to fight this! Don't lose yourself, what really matters to you. Vincent lets go.
Vincent gets Alton in to surgery. Cat hopes it works out. Vincent says don't you get tired of talking me down? She says for better or worse, remember? Vincent's going to talk to Thomas. he's awake. She says see you at home? Yeah.
Vincent asks the nurse how Thomas is doing? He's better. Don't know how. Vincent asks Thomas how he's feeling? Like I got hit by a truck. Agent Barnett? He died last week. Vincent says we need to know everything you do. Who sent the courier? Thomas doesn't know anything. Where'd your friend get the serum? We made it. Thomas says be careful about your friend. He's part of the same experiment. Thomas struggles to breathe. Vincent puts an oxygen mask on him.
Tess is beating JT in a video game. JT is confused. About the serum. Wonders if he should be a super human, too. Tess says I know who you really are. You're more than a nerdy professor. Why can't you accept that? You sell yourself short. And because of you and how much you inspired me, I'm thinking about Captain. He says good for you. Thanks. Owe it all to you. He says can you teach me how the hell to shoot?
Heather and Cat. I should've told you I was coming back in town. Cat says you have to turn over your key. Heather says you don't have to worry about Vincent. Cat says this normal stuff is hard. Heather says it's supposed to be. And she's okay now. Matthew and I didn't come close to what you and Vincent have. Vincent comes in. Heather leaves. She's staying at Janet's. Cat is making room for his things. Including your ugly lamp. You okay? He says yeah. She says this commitment stuff scares me, too. We have to talk to each other better about the stuff that bothers us. He says you're right. I was just afraid I'd scare you off. She says never. It's not just about the perks. Phone rings. Then the home phone. Tess says get back to the hospital. Somebody shot Agent Thomas. He's dead.
