A park. Noah sitting on a bench. A phone rings. Claire's number. It's been a few years since we've talked. I miss you. Odessa Unity Summit. Evos and Humans United. Noah is proud of her. He's excited they might be seeing each other. I'll see you soon, ClaireBear.
The sky goes dark over the event. Then a massive explosion!!! Noah's glasses on the ground. He reaches for them. It looks nuked. He puts his glasses on. Calls for Claire. June 13th, one year ago.
Quebec. A man running from a truck. Nine months ago. Dogs chasing him. He goes invisible in his underwear.
Volume One: Awakening.
4 months ago - the Arctic? A prisoner on the run. He cuts his hand off to get free of chains, and flies away.
Canada border, 7 weeks ago. A kid and his mom in the car. They escape and turn around. 9th Wonders comic. Nice.
June 13, today. Man gets out of a car. Cockroach written on a piece of paper. The teenager is there. Password is cockroach. They're watching a news broadcast about Odessa and Primatech. Mohinder claimed responsibility for the attacks?? This is an Evo meeting. Discussing how to get along. People are hunting Evos. The kid, Tommy now. He's wanted in 3 states because he can't control his power. He was hoping for help, for tips. His mom texts him to get home. He runs out of the church. Gets on the bus.
A black woman with a gun chases a man.
The meeting. We need to stop acting like victims. We are the future. Man laughs. My wife and I brought our son to Odessa. We believed in the cause. Then when I watched my boy die in my arms, I realized that wasn't going to happen. You all seem like nice folks. You can't change what you are. These powers aren't natural and they can't be trusted. There's only one solution. He and his wife start shooting. The Evos fight back. But the couple kills them all. He says one got away. Dropped a card for Moe's Ice Cream Parlor. Man lights a match, burning the place up. For Dennis.
Chapter One - A Brave New World.
Noah in a car. Memories are funny things. The memories that deceive are the dangerous ones. The one thing you don't want to feel when you look back is regret. He's a car salesman at a Cadillac dealership in Austin, TX. He's going by Mr. Barnes.
A school. A couple makes out in the closet. Man gives a speech at an assembly. It doesn't matter how ordinary you think you are. We all have the potential to be heroes. Thank you.
Pinehearst High School - Tommy at his locker. He gets bullied. Coach Lewis died in a fire last night in Chicago. uh-oh.
Police Precinct, Chicago. A bald man has a briefcase of coins. Let's talk about what you saw. The bike delivery man that Tommy accidentally ran in to. Could you identify him if you saw him again? The man says for a price. The bald man spins a penny. Penny for your thoughts?
The bike man doesn't remember the kid now.
Noah has a girlfriend or wife. She kisses him at work. Noah's being watched, which he notices. Noah's going by Ted now.
Tokyo, Japan - a young man looking for an address. He knocks at an apartment and the door swings open. Anyone here? A young woman playing loud music. He says he's a gamer. An expert at "Evernow". He unlocked a secret message that sent him here. She says that's impossible. She says you have to go now! She pushes him out and says don't ever come back. Is there a door to Evernow in her place?
The high school. A girl says she sees Tommy at Moe's all the time. She drew the happy face on his punch card. She says they need a new scooper and he should come in. She's sorry for Brad pushing him around. Did you hear about Coach Lewis, that he might've been an Evo? Tommy plays dumb. He gets a text.
Man and his....little brother? The hero that gave the speech at the school. The kid doesn't think Evos are evil. There's a site that's tracking the disappearing Evos. Little Jose is told to clean up the graffiti on the shop. Auto mechanic shop. You broke your father's heart. Hope you know that. Hero walks out.
Noah sees the car outside his house. The woman is his fiancee. They're planning the wedding. Noah says he'll be right back. He goes out to the street and takes a walk. Man in a hoodie following him. Noah confronts him. You're Noah Bennet, right? I know you worked for Primatech. Noah says I sold paper. Renatas secretly owned Primatech. The man says June 13th was just the beginning. Suresh is a patsy. How do you not know that, man? The man has what Suresh was about to publish. Evos have been increasing. They're here to save us from what Renatas is planning. Noah says they're all gone, hiding or dead. Police show up. The fiancee called them. Noah says my daughter died on that day! You don't forget a day like that! Man says you do if someone doesn't want you to remember. Something big is coming! Police drag him away.
The teen comes back. You're The Katana Girl! She says I'm nothing like her. He shows her a book about her story. A kidnapped father. A sword hidden under the floor in his study. She yells at him to leave now! He does. He left the graphic novel. She stares at the Evernow door.
Noah goes to his hiding place in the wall. A card falls out of a book. He looks up Lumiere Ophthalmology. Relocated from Odessa to Dallas.
Hero on a rooftop. He gets a bottle from a liquor store. Watches a news broadcast about the local vigilante. Whether he's an Evo or not, he hasn't broken any laws so far.
The vigilante definitely has powers. He takes out some criminals in an alley. He gets shot in the chest twice by a blonde woman. He throws a knife into her throat. Police coming. He stumbles away.
Where Are The Heroes? graffiti. The war hero comes back to the shop. There's a blood trail to an underground lair. Oscar was shot. Since June 13th, the world has gone crazy. I'm just trying to make a difference. He says it was a trap. They knew I was coming. Carlos, Jose looks up to you. But it's not just Jose. Someone like you, you can put on the mask. You're a hero. Oscar goes unconscious. Dead?
The married couple in a diner. She asks if he's alright. He says yeah, but we should focus on someone other than that kid. Mohinder Suresh got the credit for the fire in the papers.
Girl asks Tommy about moving around a lot. She interviews him for the scooper job. Can you scoop ice cream? Yeah.... You're hired. She gets him a uniform. He sees the man that had been at the meeting. The wife comes back and shows her gun. They all go out back. Girl follows. You forgot to try on your uniforms. Guess you're both going for a ride. Tommy makes them disappear. Then he runs away.
The girl catches up to Tommy. He's going home to pack up and leave like we always do. She asks where the people went. he says I don't know. I don't know where any of it goes. She says yo saved my life. Tommy, your secret is safe with me.
Carlos with Jose. Jose doesn't understand why his father died. I never got a chance to show him, tell him. Show him what? Jose says he wants to be alone. Carlos says I'm sorry, Jose, and leaves him be. The kid passes his hand through a roof tile. An Evo like his dad.
Lumiere. Dallas, Texas. Noah walks in. He asks have I ever been here before? Secretary says she doesn't think so. He asks her to check the records. My name is Noah Bennet. She says no. Nothing here under Bennet. Perhaps if you remembered the doctor's name. He shows her the card. She draws a gun on him. The Haitian comes out. Renee? There's a bench across the street. Wait for me there.
The Japanese girl stares at the door. Gets up and nears it. Opens it. Her father's office. This place is huge for Japan. They must've been quite wealthy. She lifts a floorboard and finds a note. Save me....The sword is the key. She lifts the katana and unsheaths it. She's in a game!! Men come at her. She fights them. Kills them. Whoa!
Noah waits. Renee comes. You left these. His glasses! Noah puts them on. Renee tries to strangle him!! Noah fights with him. A gun goes off. Renee is shot. Why were you trying to kill me? You told me to. You made the perfect plan. it's coming. It's coming. Noah begs him, What did I need to forget? Renee! Noah takes the gun and leaves.
The Arctic. A girl with Northern Lights. She says it's happening faster than we thought. I don't think I can control it much longer.
Noah washes his hands at a gas station. Stares at the mirror. Tries to remember.
The high school. School is out for the day. Tommy and Emily. He tells her about his power. He was taken to a place when he was 7. A room with toys and no windows. She asks him to make a flower disappear. He does. Uh oh, Brad sees through the window.
Quentin Frady gets bailed out of jail by Noah. Lumiere was cleaned out. Now you're going to tell me everything you know.
Emily asks Tommy if he's okay. You look worried. Bell rings. She has Trig. See yo at lunch? Brad confronts Tommy. I'm going to turn you in.
The Collins are in the toy room with no windows. So that's where Tommy teleports things. Maybe we're in Hell. She asks if that's where we belong? He says if we'd let that kid go, we wouldn't be here.
Ren is back, looking for Miko. The door is ajar again. He looks at the computer.
Miko came for her father. She fights soldiers in the game. kills them. Her father is bring dragged away. She fights more men. Ren joins the fight. Leeroy Jenkins! LOLOLOL. World of Warcraft reference. He helps Katana Girl.
Brad drags Tommy away. Tommy says I want to live a normal life and be left alone. I'm a pacifist. Brad doesn't know what that is. Wow. He says if you do something for me, I'll keep my mouth shut. Tommy says anything. They get in a car and leave. The bald man with the hat is watching.
Carlos and Jose Gutierrez. The funeral was today. Priest says your mother wants you back at the apartment. He asks Oscar if he reconciled with his brother. Maybe. Oscar loved you. He died because he stood up for the underdog. Never forget that.
Brad brought Tommy to a house. You're going to make my step-father disappear. Brad shows him bruises. Tommy says I'm sorry. But please don't make me do this. Brad says he beats my mother, too. Brad says he better be gone when I get back, and leaves Tommy with the man. Tommy runs out. The bald man watches.
Quentin tells Noah what he knows. He read documents he shouldn't have looked at. Noah wonders how he survived June 13th. I need to know why I didn't save Claire. Why is Renatas framing and killing Evos? Noah needs to track down Molly Walker. She can find anyone just by thinking about them. We have to get to her before they do.
Ren and Miko fnd her father. She kills the men holding him. Her father says we can't leave, yet. There's more for us to do. He's sucked away. Miko comes back out of the game, unconscious. Ren turns around and goes to her.
A club. No Evos. A woman approaches the bar. A different woman goes to the gambling table. Blows on some dice. She flirts with a guy. They're attracting attention, so he suggests getting a drink at his hotel. She says she'd love to.
The bald man knocks on the step-father's door. Uses his power to get in.
Carlos in the lair. El Vangador is said to have killed police officers.
Ren put Miko to bed. She sits up. He says careful. She says everything was true. He says if you go back, you could die. Would you die forever? She says my father left me the sword for a reason. I have a mission. He's all I ever had. I'm all alone. The Yamagato Tower was where her father was taken. She disappears into the game again.
The hotel. She eyes some cash in a bag. He pours drinks. To my good luck charm. He tries to kiss her. She dodges it. Your run tonight had nothing to do with luck. She grabs a knife. She throws it and he stops it in the air. He says I swear this will never happen again. I just needed some dough. She says give me the money and hit the road. It's your only play. He says, or not. She burns his face and tries to run. He uses his power to pin her to a wall and starts strangling her.
He keeps playing with her body. A couple comes in. The man hits the Evo on the head. Brunette woman gets the redhead out of there.
Quentin and Noah at Odessa. There's a sign warning about toxins. Noah busts through the gates. Stops the car at a building and looks around. Quentin babbles. Noah goes down to Level 5. Quentin asks what are we looking for? Noah opens a door, then gets a vault open. See if you can flag anything with Molly Walker or Renatas. It's Noah's records. Quentin finds a list. Individuals absent from the summit. Noah doesn't remember this. He assumed she died here. Quentin says if she didn't die here, then what happened? Noah asks why are you so interested in her, in me?! My sister. They took my sister and I couldn't stop them. He's just trying to find her. Noah asks do you think I did it? Quentin doesn't think Phoebe died on June 13th. Things I found don't add up. Noah says Claire and I had a fight right after she came out. I hadn't spoken to her in over 4 years. I wanted to make things right. I would've done anything to save her. Quentin says he'll be happy to help. Noah says no more secrets. Deal? They shake on it.
The Collins in the room still. She says sometimes I think you hate me. He wonders why there is no light switch. A lot of kids are afraid of the dark. Why no light switch at all? What happens if this room goes dark? Maybe we'll see something. He shoots out all the lights. And sees a 2-way mirror. Picks up a stool and beats on the glass.
Brad hugs Tommy. Thank you so much! His step-father is gone. I'll never let anyone mess with you. I totally got your back!
Carlos assaults an officer. You lied about what happened in that alley. Give me a name now! Carlos beats on him until he gets a name of a Captain.
Izzy Rose Bar, NYC. Taylor and Zoe. The redhead says I have people looking for me. The money in that room? I needed it to disappear. The brunette offers to write a check. She has way more than she needs. Trust fund baby.
Los Angeles. Carlos goes into confessional. Shows the priest the mask. What was Oscar up to? Priest says your brother started an underground railroad to get Evos to a safe place in Canada. Carlos has a name, Captain James Dearing. Priest has 2 people that need to get to Vancouver. Their journey starts in your brother's hideout. The priest can become a ghost!
Tommy and Emily. Talking about Brad. Tommy says I've been getting texts from someone I think is protecting me. They find the flower in a bucket of ice cream! Emily figures that things go to wherever Tommy thinks of when he touches them.
The Collins are free in the building. They creep around, guns out. Observation cells. A man comes through a door with coffee and a doughnut. They make him open the door. Then kill all the people in the control room. She started shooting first. Chick is too kill-happy.
Noah hears the shots. Wait in the car. He turns back to investigate.
Collins take the elevator to Level 1. They leave the building.
Noah goes to Level 5. Board says Molly Walker - data lost. She's the only one not contained on that list. Noah finds Stevens. Who did this? Do they have Molly Walker? Is she at Midian? Stevens dies.
Los Angeles. Carlos meets the priest and the Evos. This tunnel leads to the harbor. There's a boat waiting to take you away. She leaves Carlos some 24K gold as a token of gratitude.
The Collins in the car. With a list of the Evos. Oh hell, they're in Noah's car!!! Where is Quentin???
Noah finds Quentin with a bullet in his shoulder. A couple shot me and took the car. Renatas launches something tomorrow. We have to get to Midian and save Molly.
Redhead wakes up with the brunette and powered guy. Who are you? The guy makes a call. We have Molly Walker. Whoa......
Miko in the game. It's a trap! She sheaths the sword. In the building. Guards confront her. She raises her arms. But doesn't give up the sword. She fights them all.

Next week - Tommy has a destiny to save the world. Noah finds Molly. Mr. Collins wants to give up this vendetta and go home.
