“And Justice For All”

Beckett and the 12th Precinct look into the murder of an English as a Second Langue student. But when the victim’s class won’t talk to the police, Castle goes undercover as a French Canadian immigrant and learns that the victim was more than he seemed.

Ep 13:

Manhattan Zoo. Reptile exhibit. Keeper turning off the lights at night. He picks up a gecko and puts it back in its cage. Someone hits him from behind!

Castle still has writer's block. He's ranting at the cursor. Kate's there. Castle's rereading letters from his GMA appearance after coming back. Her phone rings. She can't take him with. Castle says I'm Sherlock without my Watson. She kisses him and says go to your PI office for inspiration.

Kate at the scene. They're not 100% sure of the victim's ID, yet. The killer put his body in a pit of deadly snakes. That's a first.......

Alexis gives Castle files to file. Her hair is shorter again. Too short. Hayley and Alexis have made it a profitable business. Castle wants an exciting case. Sees the news about the man in the pit of snakes. THAT is a case worth investigation.

Perlmutter is proud of Kate breaking up with Castle. He'd be happy to introduce her to his identical twin. She says she's not ready to date right now. Victim is on the table. Castle walks in. Perlmutter tells him to be a man and walk away. Kate asks for the room for a moment. Wow, he really doesn't like me. Castle wanted to see the snakes, lol. Eddie got a text from someone wanting their money. "I got ways to make you dead." Kate tells him he's not working the case. go home and I'll see you tonight. He doesn't want a kiss in front of the dead body. LOL.

Ryan says we found a lot of money under Eddie's bed. Vikram says Eddie was in an ESL school.

Espo and Ryan visit the class. Talk to the teacher about Eddie. Espo shows him the text. Teacher doesn't know who might've sent it. Says most of his students won't want to talk.

They tell Kate they got a number for Eddie's next of kin in El Salvador. Kate has an idea. She makes a call.

Castle has a drum set? He answers the phone. She sends him to the class undercover.

Rick is Jean Luc. Says he's from Quebec. What do you do for a living? Uh....I'm a chef. Teacher asks him to make cuisine tonight. Jean Luc meets the other students. He steals assignments when the teacher is distracted. Castle finds who sent the text and calls Kate.

Espo and Ryan talk to Alastair. He was an enforcer back home. Ryan and Espo have no idea what he's saying, lol. Hayley is brought in. She'll translate Geordie English into American. He sent Eddie the text because he was furious. Eddie borrowed his cab and it was riddled with bullet holes. Eddie promised to pay for damages, but didn't show up to class. He didn't mean a threat. Just really pissed off.

Ryan tells Kate that Alastair had an alibi. Espo says Eddie used to be a cop. He lied on his immigration forms. There were rumors he was part of a corrupt unit. Vikram says Eddie stopped at the Saldana club. A place that deals drugs out of it.

They head to the club. It's a mess and the Saldana brothers are in casts. Rock climbing accident. LOL. Espo and Ryan ask about Eddie. Kate goes to the bar. Bartender says Eddie was here. Beat the crap out of the brothers and forced them to fill a briefcase with cash. They were in the hospital last night. Eddie was doing it for a waitress that used to work here.

The woman from Senegal from the class. Eddie saw her crying after class because she was fired from the club. She doesn't have a green card. Brothers took 30% from her. She demanded her money. Eddie said he'd help her. He got the money, and he was helping another student with a very dangerous problem. He sounded nervous about it. A terrible conspiracy. Castle says Eddie was an equalizer. Kate says this dangerous problem is probably what got Eddie killed.

Castle with the boys. Discussing the ESL classmates. How do we figure out who Eddie was helping? Castle is serving pastries tonight. From a fancy French restaurant, lol.

ESL party. Discussing Eddie and the case. Castle has a flash to an Asian memory when he eats some food. She says it's a family recipe from my village. Jean Luc follows Achmed. Eddie was helping him. Promised to find a woman. He thinks Eddie is dead because of him.

Castle updates Kate. Anita hasn't been seen in a week and a half. Espo and Ryan got a hit on a print from her apartment. Kate tells them to pick up the guy. Castle is in the elevator.

Marco fires at Espo and Ryan. They shoot back. Chase. Marco gets in a car that won't start.

Kate interrogates him. He wants a lawyer. Ryan got a key from Marco's wallet.

Locker at the bus station. FBI tackles them when they try to unlock it. LOL.

Kate talks to the FBI. Sticking up for her guys. She tells him to drop the attitude. He won't discuss the specifics of the case. She says we're done here. He says it's Marco, isn't it. You need to let him go. Kate says no. We can work this investigation together. Agent says keep him. But my federal case trumps your homicide.

Kate gets home and Castle says we have to go to Korea. I ate a dish that triggered a memory. And saw a temple. He has no idea why he was there. She says she's not going and neither is he. It's too dangerous. He agrees. He'll try triggering more memories. Offers her kimchi. It goes right through him. LOL.

Vikram has Anita alive, in Texas in a jail. Jason Caldwell signed the deportation order against her. Eddie got in a shoving match with the judge. Castle wonders why the judge would get involved? Vikram says kickbacks from the private prison company. Kate says we can't just go after him. She spots the FBI team on the video. NYPD can't step on their investigation. Castle says he can, with a little help from his friends.

Caldwell on the way to the courthouse. Hot dog cart blocks the feds, slowing them. The ESL women slow them more. Then the chicken hut delivery truck. More distractions in the courthouse. Judge goes to the service elevator. Castle with him. Hayley pulls a gun on Caldwell. You murdered Eddie. She shoots Castle. Judge says I didn't kill him, I didn't have to. He was a cop! He had enemies. The enemies of my enemies.... He figures out Castle is not hurt. Judge leaves.

Kate and boys updated. Fed arrives. Judge is holed up with his lawyer now. Fed saw Castle and his friends. He threatens to deport them. She says leave them alone. You want to go after anyone, go after me. She makes a deal with him.

Eddie had an enemy in Alonzo Sanchez. Ryan says he's in the air. Fed says I can get him. Makes a call. I need to turn a plane around.

Kate talks to Alonzo. with the Fed. We know you came here for Eddie. We know you killed him. Eddie is dead? That wasn't me. I did not kill him. I came here with revenge in my heart. But Eddie was working with my brother in secret, protecting him. He knew things about Mario that only someone close to him would know. He came to America to start over. Build a new life here.

Kate tells Castle we were wrong about the judge's involvement. Castle wonders how the judge knew about Alonzo. Someone close to Eddie has to be involved. Castle knows.

To the ESL class. Jean Luc is late. Wants a word with the teacher in private. These men are here to arrest you for the murder of Eddie Ramirez. Too many of your students are in those private prisons.

Party at Castle's. Anita's been released and the private facility is under investigation. And the teacher fessed up. Alexis will be taking over the class. Martha's very proud. Castle serving American food. It's very international. Martha says you are the ones that make this country great.

Castle remembering South Korea again. Then the Hollywood sign. He wakes up. I was in Koreatown in Los Angeles. I have to go to LA.
