"Dead Red"

When the son of a Russian diplomat turns up murdered, Beckett and Castle find themselves in a dangerous game of international crime and punishment, with Castle having to entertain a jovial Russian security officer who winds up more involved than anyone planned.

Episode 11:

Young man in a creepy hallway. Pushes a door open. Door shuts. He's locked in. Then a door opens and his throat is slit!

Castle asks the girls for help picking a gift for Ryan's baby shower. Martha asks why can't he buy a simple traditional gift. But Alexis purchased the perfect gift. Just sign the card. They didn't tell him before he went shopping because he's their favorite reality show. LOL.

Kate and Ryan at the crime scene. Lani tells them the time of death. Espo arrives. Car left at 2:30am. Kate's off to the Russian Consulate.

She will talk to Grigori's father. Russians would prefer a Russian security officer be assigned to the case. Father doesn't know why he was in an abandoned building. He's been in trouble since his mother died. He's been hanging out with diplobrats.

Espo and Ryan. Castle arrives with the gift. And the Russian is right behind him. He hugs Castle. A big fan. Wants to hug Kate, too, lol. He's very disappointed that Kate and Castle don't work together anymore. Espo plays audio of a car. Castle picks it out. Jurgen Kass has that kind of car. Kate says pick it up. Russian hugs Castle again before Rick leaves. LOL.

Ryan and Espo talk to Jurgen. Very arrogant kid.
The Russian doesn't want to get in the way of her case. He's eager to learn from her. And he also wants to explore NYC since he's never been here before.
Jurgen cites diplomatic immunity. And walks out.

Castle gets a call. From Vasily. I'm a writer, too. I have an idea for a Nikki Heat novel. Let's meet for coffee. Castle calls Kate. She tells him to keep Vasily happy. So she'll keep him happy. LOL. Done!

They meet for coffee, and Jurgen sits there, too. Vasily goes to talk to him. Jurgen tells them to get lost. Vasily says Russian justice plays by different rules. Threatens the kid. Jurgen dropped Grigori off at the building. He owed Jurgen a ticket to a party to meet Russian models. And he doesn't know who Grigori was meeting.

They tell Espo. Ryan got the characters off Grigori's shirt. He didn't think his mother's death was an accident. The investigation might've gotten him killed.

The car crashed and burned back then. Grigori stayed at the bed and breakfast his mother had stayed in. Vasily has Kate and Castle called by important people to make them go with him. LOL.

Ryan and Espo talk to the B&B owner. She pulled security video and got a photo she shows them.

Kate and Castle talk to Grigori's father again. He believe his wife had been having an affair back then. Kate asks for her contact list. Of course.

Vasily takes Castle into the computer system. Looking at Grigory's e-mail. Emily2929.

They talk to her in Interrogation. She saw Grigory a couple days ago. Kate tells her he's dead. Why did you send him e-mails demanding he call you? She says she caught him on her laptop. He used her log-in to see some files. Kate asks exactly what he saw.

Kate tells Espo that Grigory was after FBI files. A sleeper program. Frank Thomas and Anya Mishkin met up. She was a spy. Kate suspects our friendly Russian knows more than he's letting on.

Espo asks Ryan and Castle to step aside and tells them what Kate told him. Into her office. She says Vasily's motives can't be trusted. Keep him as far away from the case as possible. Take him sightseeing and see what he knows.

Castle offers Vasily a full tour. Tell me more about you. Diplomatic security sounds fascinating. Vasily gets a call from his "mom". She's most excited I met you.

Kate meets with Rita. Tells her about the case. Can you ask about Frank Thomas? Yes. Rita calls her on blowing up her marriage. You think we're broken up...but we're not. Ohhh...sexual subterfuge. Rita does know Vasily, though, and he's dangerous. If Castle gets in the way of his mission, he'll be collateral damage.

Vasily cuffs Castle to the car. Grabs a guy and sticks him in the trunk. Oh boy.

Stops the car in a warehouse and uncuffs Castle. Who are you? Vasily gets out and pulls the guy out of the trunk. It's Frank. Ties him to a chair. I must break him. Castle doesn't want this. Vasily says you're a nice guy, I don't want to hurt you, so don't make me. Castle begs for 60 seconds to talk to the guy. Checks Franks pockets. Lamination kit, uniforms, catering company. You want in an event. The party at the consulate, yes? Vasily says the party's about to start.

Cops aren't allowed in. Vasily says it's invite only. Castle says invite us. Vasily tells them to stay cool, yeah? I have street cred to protect. They split up and look around. Kate sees a laser dot. Sniper! She dives. One man does get shot. Call an ambulance!

Espo and Ryan. Found a uniform and a Dragonoff. Kate says the Russians are refusing any further cooperation. Vasily says no one knows who to trust now. But he wants justice for Grigori, Anya, and Sergei. Kate brings in Rita!

She asks him to lay his cards on the table. He says there's a leak. A bad one. Anya was close to unmasking a traitor. Then she died. Who's on the list?

Castle asks who is Rita? Kate says she's your stepmother. She's been helping me with Loksat. He says this is getting old, Beckett. She says you're right. Old.....very old!

Kate goes in. The rifle is an older model. Vasily says there are old caches of things left for field operatives.

Rita and Castle. His father is alive. Does he mention me? No. Doesn't mean he doesn't think of you. He does it for your safety. Castle is sick of people protecting him. Rita says she does it out of love. He knows. She's glad she met him. Except you didn't. He asks if he'll see her or his dad again? She hugs him and says He's so very proud of you.

Ryan has footage from a cache. Anya Mishkin. Alive and well. Now we know who the assassin is.

Vasily swears he didn't know Anya was alive. Ryan says Anya is being brought in. Kate interrogates her. Who killed Grigori? Anya says she was protecting him. No. She was aiming for Sergei. I'm not the devil you think I am. Sergei's been selling secrets to competitors. He's very well connected. If I turned him in, he would've buried me. Grigori got on to the truth of Sergei's plans. Sergei is not Grigori's biological father. She saw Sergei running away, and found Grigori. Soon he'll go back to Russia and be out of my reach! Kate promises to do all she can.

Kate and Castle visit the consulate. Sergei's about to go to Moscow. he'll pay a fine and retire. He tells them a message for Anya. Oberin says Russian justice is very, very complicated. Vasily is saying goodbye. Same plane as Sergei. He says the murderer will spend the rest of his miserable life in the coldest place on Earth. In Russia, there are far worse places than prison. Vasily hugs Castle. And Kate. He leaves. Castle says we've kissed in 6 countries, but right now we're on Russian soil. She says there's something else we've done in 6 countries. Follow me.
