"Beacon of Hope"
BRIE LARVAN AKA THE BUG-EYED BANDIT SETS HER SIGHTS ON FELICITY – Brie Larvan (guest star Emily Kinney) breaks out of jail and turns up at Palmer Tech threatening to kill everyone unless she gets the bio-chip that is implanted in Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) spine. When Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes that Felicity, Thea (Willa Holland), and Donna (guest star Charlotte Ross) are trapped in Palmer Tech with everyone else, he looks to a surprising ally to help Team Arrow save the day. Episode 17:
Brie Larvan changing her stats in the prison system. She hacked it to release herself.
Team Arrow stick fighting. Oliver's hard on them. He even beats Diggle. Oliver says let's go again. Thea says pass. Laurel says the streets have gone quiet without Darhk. Alex texts Thea. He's interviewing with Rive. Laurel says what about a better offer? PalmerTech needs a new Head of Relations. Oliver says tell Alex to talk to Felicity. Oliver's read Harry Potter books! Diggle thought he'd only seen the movies. LOL. There are movies?
Island. Oliver vs. Reiter. Taiana shoots him. Nothing happens.
Felicity and Curtis. He sneezes repeatedly. The spinal chip is too expensive. Curtis sneezes again. She tells him to go home and have chicken noodle soup. Felicity's mom arrives. Wow, cleavage. She wants to take Felicity out to lunch. Thea shows up. Tribbles. LOL. Thea brings up Alex. Felicity has a board meeting, but he can wait.
Malcolm visits Damian in jail. Damian is not patient. Malcolm says your resources are no longer interested in coming to your aid due to you killing members. HIVE likes you here, out of trouble. They do wish you the best with your trial. Damian's reflex is to use magic he no longer has. Malcolm taunts him about performance issues in men of his age.
Oliver hitting the Wing Chung dummy. Laurel says it's okay to miss Felicity. He says she's not the person to-- Why? Because of what we were? He says I did wreck what we have. Yeah, kind of. She says I know how passionately you love and how much it hurts when it goes away. He thought he'd be tougher than this by now. She says that's a different kind of pain. This takes longer to heal. I'm here for you.
Board meeting. Phil collapses. Bees burst out of him!!! Brie shows up. I needed your full attention. Your CEO has miraculously recovered. Had one chip over and I'll be on my way. There's only one prototype.
Felicity will offer Alex a job. Brie on the monitor. I'm here to talk about a certain bio chip. I'm sure your board would really appreciate it. Felicity looks panicked.
Felicity's mom wants to get her out. Thea can't get a signal. Bees are surrounding Palmer Tech.
Curtis watching the news. He tries to call and there's no signal. His husband says you have a 104 fever, where are you going? To get help.
Arrow Cave. Malcolm joins Oliver and Laurel. John is coming in. Oliver remembers Brie Larvan. Oliver says suit up. Quentin says the police couldn't enter.
Brie gives a deadline or she starts killing board members. Donna takes her shoes off. Thea says we're trapped. Felicity removes the grate from the AC.
Curtis in the campaign HQ. Looking for the lair. He finds the secret elevator.
Team Arrow discussing. Curtis arrives. Holy frak. You're? You're? You're? If I pass out, it's because I'm sick, not.... He faints. Quentin asks if anyone can walks in here? LOL.
Damian is confronted by bad guys in the prison. They attack him. Guards show up.
Felicity and Thea and Donna climb down. Hear bees. Run!
Curtis wakes. You're the Green Arrow? And this is the Arrow Cave..... We call it the bunker, but..... He knows their names except for John Diggle. LOL. Curtis asks how they keep it off the grid. Oliver says focus! Curtis is feeling better. Laurel says they gave him an IV to rehydrate. Curtis is excited about the computers. You need someone to hack these tiny bees. Bee pun. LOL. Laurel asks if he can get them in. Oliver says do it.
Island. Reiter has harnessed primordial essences. Oliver says you're insane. Reiter asks for his idol. I promise I will kill you both quickly. He tosses Taiana.
Girls hiding and trapped.
Curtis turns the lights off. Then on. He hacks bees. Talks to them through one bee. Green Arrow, Spartan, and Black Canary are coming for you. Tells them where to go.
Oliver asks Curtis if he's got control. Yes. Wait, no! Curtis gets kicked out of the bees. The bees form a big bee man. Oliver shoots an arrow at it. Oliver gets stung taking a hit for Laurel. Thea gets Felicity and Donna back inside the building.
They get Oliver in the bunker. Scan him. The bee's inside him. And replicating. Oliver says cut it out! They're replicating rapidly.
Felicity and Thea. Donna panicking. Brie says you're out of time. I'll give you 5 minutes before I take board members off the board. She's in Felicity's office now. Felicity is trying to think. Donna asks if she's spoken to Oliver.
Quentin suggests luring the bees out of Oliver. Curtis gets an idea. Do you have a portable sonic projector? Laurel does. Curtis is impressed. Tells her to scream. Oliver says do it! The sonic blast breaks all the glass and bursts some circuits. Curtis says That. Was. Awesome.
Oliver attacks Reiter. Reiter's kicking his butt. My victory's inevitable, Mr. Queen. He lifts Oliver by the throat. Then loses power. Oliver hits him.
Felicity's idea is the panic room. Donna says couldn't you have thought of that 15 minutes ago? Thea says we gotta go! Bees coming! Door shuts. Felicity says hold on to something. We need to stop at the conference room floor. Concrete wall. They set charges. Blows a hole in the wall in the board room. Secret elevator down to the panic room. Brie arrives. Felicity sends the board members and her mom below in the elevator. She and Thea face Brie.
Brie brings them back to the office. Thea asks why bees? Brie is an advocate. Give me the damn! I have a tumor on my L4 vertebrae. Cutting it out with paralyze her. She can't afford the chip. Felicity offers up the blueprints.
Curtis examining the bee. The larvae should pass in a few days. Curtis wants to high five. Oliver says it's not the time. Curtis says you have to celebrate the wins when they come. Oliver chews him out about being serious about this because people die if we're not perfect. Laurel draws Oliver aside. You can't take your pain out on Curtis. Oliver wants Curtis to see this is not a good life. I walked away and I was happy. Content. Felicity convinced me we could save the city and not surrender to the darkness, but I don't think we can. Laurel says Felicity broke up with you because of the lies you told. Oliver, not the Green Arrow. He knows. She says you're a beacon of hope for people. I just wish you'd use some of that hope for yourself.
Damian gets a visit from the criminals again. Damian made a deal. 2 guys dead. The guy with the mouth sewn shut killed them. Damian says Call your organization and have that other message delivered.
Felicity on the computer. Thea says you shouldn't have given Brie the plans. Oliver will be fine. He always is. Thea gives the beacon of hope speech to Felicity. Felicity says That's you. I'm not in this anymore. We're in a Die Hard movie with bees. Maybe I'm meant for great things or not, but it's not this. Sorry. I'm not coming back.
*good riddance.
Oliver approaches Curtis. Curtis says you are a very scary man. Diggle asks any luck? Curtis made a virus. Rigged an arrow with it. Quentin says like in Independence Day. What, I can't watch movies? LOL. Oliver compliments Curtis.
Felicity has internet. Brie returns. Thanks. Thea says go build it for yourself! Brie recognized code in the Palmer Tech logs. You never forget the hacker who sent you to prison! Felicity.
*At this point, I'll gladly take Curtis over Felicity. She has no leg to stand on with this anger considering she chose this life in the first place.
Team Arrow suited up and back at Palmer Tech. Black Canary screams at the bee man.
Green Arrow saved Felicity, tying up Brie.
Curtis needs a few more minutes.
Bee man tosses Thea. Green Arrow fights him.
Bee in the Arrow Cave. Curtis runs from it.
Green Arrow beating on the Bee Man. Bee Man fights back. Felicity shocks the Bee Man with a lamp.
Curtis and Quentin still running. Quentin traps the bee. I won't tell anyone you screamed. LOL.
Felicity thanks Oliver. He says you never have to thank me. Brie shoots him. If I can't walk, you can't live. Who should I kill first? Curtis back in control. Uses the bees against Brie. Felicity makes a lame joke.
Cleaning up. Curtis says the bee is dead now. Oliver says you did good and I'm sorry I made you feel differently. Curtis asks about Brie. She's in a coma. Oliver asks if he's alright? Curtis says yeah. Just overwhelmed, and the IV is wearing off. Oliver says you're welcome any time. Laurel says nice apology. He took her advice.
Island. Oliver wakes Taiana. Reiter is gone. She says we can't let him find the idol. Oliver says this is our chance to save your friends.
Curtis comes home. Where have you been? His hubby is upset. Curtis says he was chasing a fantasy about helping, and I know I belong here with you. Promises to not disappear again.
Thea and Felicity cleaning up the office. Lance drove Donna home. Thea says don't you miss this? The thrill, the rush. Doesn't get any better than this. Felicity was never in it for that. She wanted to make a difference. Thea says come back to the team. Felicity has a different idea. To make PalmerTech into the beacon of hope.
Malcolm talks to someone in a car. Damian's ace in the hole. Andy Diggle!!!
