03/18/2016 (09:00PM - 10:00PM) (Friday) : AN ANCIENT WESEN WARRIOR TRADITION FINDS ITS WAY INTO THE MODERN WORLD OF LUCHADOR WRESTLING - JOSEPH JULIAN SORIA GUEST STARS - A local maskmaker is targeting Wesen to create Luchador masks that bestows great power to its wearer. As Nick (David Giuntoli), Hank (Russell Hornsby), Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) work to stop the killings, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) considers an offer that will bring him closer to claiming his destiny. Meanwhile, Eve's (Bitsie Tulloch) further investigation of a recent incident raises new questions. Episode 13:
Monroe's arm is healed. How? Did that really just happen? He feels fine, I think. Nick grabbed him with the stick in his hand. Writing on the cloth? Maybe. Hank says it's not a good idea to have it fall in the wrong hands. They all agree to tell no one. Nick puts it away.
Mask shop. Old man in the back. Carving. Young man asked what's this one? Old man says it's Mesoamerican. Mask maker repaired a leather mask. Young guy doesn't speak Spanish. He's tired of getting paid to lose. I want to be like those guys, the guys I watched as a kid. They never lost. Old man says there were other costs to their victories. Kid asks how much for those kinds of masks. Old man says half of what you earn. You're not ready for a mask like that until price doesn't matter.
Luchador wrestling. Kid puts on his mask. Comes out to the ring. Crowd boos. Opponent introduced. The star. Crowd cheers. Match starts. Kid takes hit after hit. The star wins.
Locker room. Kid is mad. Manager says you made Mayordomo look fantastic. Kid says I can beat him. Manager says that's not why I pay you. Fix your mask, or you won't get back in that ring. You're not headliner material, and you don't speak Spanish. You want to quit, I understand. No hard feelings.
Mask store. Kid doesn't care about the price anymore. Old man tells him to go home, think this over, get some sleep. Kid wants to win. Man brings a box. With a contract for the mask. Sign it in blood. You're kidding. Old man is not. Kid asks some kind of magic? Something like that. Kid asks what does it say? You pay half of what you earn as long as you wear it, and when you're done, you return it to me. Kid slices his finger and drips on the contract, then signs his name. Old man will have the mask tomorrow. Kid leaves. Man wogues and adds his blood to the contract and signs it. Blood becomes a mask form.
Man robs another man. Old Man wants his face. They wogue. Old man bites him. Takes out a knife and starts cutting while the guy is alive. Takes his face.
Old man reading a spell over the face to make the mask.
Nick gets home to the factory. Hi. Hi. How's Kelly? Adalind just put him down. Nick says he had to go to the precinct first. She asks if he found anything. He lies and says they found old bones in a catacomb and didn't learn what it was. She asks what happens if she becomes a Hexenbiest again. We never talked about that before. He says if and when that happens, we'll deal with it. You're not what you used to be and we have a son. She agrees. Says let's just go to bed.
Eve can't sleep. Watches the video of the assassination again. Sees the PR woman on the phone and looking up at the shooter.
Crime scene. The dead man with no face. Removed with surgical precision.
Kid comes for his mask. Old man worked all night. I think you'll have much success with this one. Kid says he's never seen anything more beautiful. He wants to try it on. Old man says tell me how it feels. Kid puts it on. Gets a rush. Old man says take it off. He does. Tells him to never wear it again outside the ring. You must respect its power.
Sean gets in his car. Starts it. Eve stops him. Opens the door. Gets in. He says you're working with Meisner now... She says we should've seen it. You wanted him to be mayor. Why? He says he was a good man. She says someone asked you to? His team. She's done for now, and leaves.
Nick and Hank researching the missing faces cases. Victim had a record. Wu says the victim has a lot of alcohol in his body. But he died for a paralyzing toxin. His face was removed while he was alive. Nick says maybe this is Wesen. Run it by Monroe and Rosalee.
Kid working out. Puts on the mask. Adds more weights. Lifts reps with gusto. Takes off the mask.
Rosalee and Monroe says there are lots of Wesen with neurotoxins. Hank tells them about the missing face. Nick shows them photos. Monroe recognizes the guy. He was Wesen, kind of a jerk. Rosalee gets an idea. Worshiped by Aztec warriors. Warriors made skin masks. The priest makes the mask to transfer Wesen attributes to the mask.
Manager is glad to have the kid back. Kid came up with a new name and costume. Kid puts on the mask. Manager says that mask if a winner. He's introduced to the ring. Opponent is Mayordomo again. He's surprised to see the new opponent. Kid beats up Mayordomo. Flings him to the mat over and over again. Makes Mayordomo tap. Kid wins. Crowd has a new favorite.
Kid takes off the mask in the locker room. Mayordomo confronts him. I can't believe you did this. Manager come in. He's a genius! Did you hear that crowd? They're still going nuts. Tomorrow night, you are the headliner. Mayordomo's mad.
Kid comes to the mask shop. I felt different, like I had real power. Old man says you should put that away now. Did you bring the money? Yep. Old man reminds him never wear that mask outside the ring. Kid says he knows what he's doing.
Mayordomo confronts the kid in an alley. Kid tells him to go home. Mayordomo says I'll kill you in that ring tomorrow. Takes the mask away. Kid hits him. Kid puts on the mask and they fight. Mayordomo ends up knocked out after a good fight.
Kid runs home. Takes off the mask and drops it on the floor.
Crime scene. El Mayordomo is dead. Nick looks at the mask, but it's just leather.
Kid picks up the mask again, and puts it on. It becomes part of him. He's changed into an animal. Destroys his apartment. Driven nuts.
Eve researching again, on Rachel Wood this time.
Sean meet Rachel at a bar. Papers love him. She says there's more than one life at stake here. To win, you need to have a family. You already have a daughter, and Adalind's the mother. Eve listens and watches them.
Nick and Hank talk to the manager of the luchadors. Manager says Goyo beat Mayordomo's ass in the ring, and he wasn't happy about it. Goyo was strutting around real good in that mask tonight. A black tiger. He's got an address for the mask maker. Rosalee calls. Talked to a santero. If you're not careful how you use the mask, you'll lose your mind. She says there's a few options to stop it.
Kid leaves his building and comes to the mask maker. It won't come off! Get it off me! Old man says it can only be removed with a ceremony. Kid says just do it. Kid is hearing voices. Old man says don't listen to the mask, Goyo. Nick and Hank hear the ruckus and come in. Goyo is tough to take down. Old man says the only way to save him is the ceremony.
Monroe and Rosalee discussing Biblical stories. Heh. Nick calls. We can't get the mask off his face. We need the ceremony de gracia. They'll come to him.
Rosalee sets up the ceremony spell with Monroe's help. Hold him down in the circle. I have to pour this on his face. It's boiling. Rosalee pours it. Now what? She doesn't know. The mask is supposedly gonna come off. There's a chant. She reads from a book. Nick says keep going. She keeps reading the Spanish. The mask is removable. She takes it off the kid. He comes to. What happened? Where's Benito? He's dead. Oh my God, no, no, no.... I didn't mean to. It was the mask. Hank says he's not the only one you killed. Kid says it was the mask, it told me. The voices....you hear them, don't you. Get it away from me! The mask becomes Patrick's face again.
Nick writes in the Grimm book about this case.
Adalind gets a call from Sean. I want something you want to. I think I know a way to get Diana back.
