WEDDING DAY - Klaus (Joseph Morgan) turns to Davina (guest star Danielle Campbell) for help to learn more about a mysterious affliction affecting Hope (Danielle Rose Russell). On their wedding day, Freya (Riley Voelkel) and Keelin (guest star Christina Moses) make a tough decision about their future together, while Elijah (Daniel Gillies) is forced to confront a past memory of Hayley. Finally, Declan's (guest star Torrance Coombs) growing curiosity in the city's supernatural secrets forces Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) to step in. Yusuf Gatewood also stars. Episode 11:
Marcel drinking in the bar alone. To Josh.
Elijah dressing. Klaus is still not friendly.
Freya talking to Keelin in bed. I can't help it. I'm happy. I feel so selfish. Keelin says if Josh and Hayley were here, they'd tell us to not waste life. Let's get married today. Today? Today. They agree and kiss.
Cemetery. Hope puts out a fresh rose. Klaus finds her. Making sure she's alright. Hope says flowers don't do them any good. It's not an apology for killing someone. He says she has nothing to apologize for. She says I killed a few bad guys, but it was to rid the magic. And it only lasted a few hours. He tells her after her transformation, you won't regret being a wolf. He can't replace her mother, but he wants to help. She knows, but she wants to be alone. He sees the veins on her neck. Tells her As you wish.
Elijah going through things. Finds a letter from Hayley? Freya finds him. Asks him to walk her down the aisle. Rebekah is Maid of Honor. Vincent could be Best Man. Klaus securing the venue. Kol doing the ceremony. Elijah says I don't know if I can do that. She knows he's going through a lot, but hoped he could be here for her today. He says I'm sorry. I can't. The letter says it's from Andrea. Hmm.
Manosque. Elijah playing piano in the bar. He goes to the bar and orders. Bites his lip before telling a woman she's either broke or a terrible drunk. Her wine glass is mostly full. You've been nursing that drink for an hour. She says ever had an ex you can't get out of your system? It's Hayley with bobbed hair. He wants to suggest something better than Bordeaux, but she's fine. He says I'm Elijah. She says Andrea. He says it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Andrea. They're giving each other major eye chemistry.
Manosque. What have you seen so far? She says the inside of this wine glass. He loves the place. Not sure it's the best for how to forget your ex tour. She says she picked a random location. He's the first person she's talked to except the concierge at the hotel. He not shy. LOL. He says he's supposed to check out an art show while his girlfriend is out of town. She declines. He says if she changes her mind....
Klaus comes to Kol and Davina's room. He tells her about Hope's symptoms. I need to know what it means.
Freya with Vincent. He's leaving. It'd be his great honor to be her best man, but he's no good to anybody right now. I want to get out of this place. I keep pushing the same stone up the same hill and it keeps crashing on me and I can't do it. Good people died and nothing I've done has meant anything at all. She says we had 7 years of peace because of you! That was you! He says it's over. I thought it'd last longer. I had no idea how fragile it was. She asks how long he'll be gone. He says however long it takes. She tells him do not disappear on me, okay?
Declan pours good stuff for Marcel. Josh would kill me if he knew I was pouring the good stuff like water. Have to earn this bottle. Declan shows him the journal. You're a vampire, Marcel, just like Josh.
You really want to do this today? Declan is testy. Marcel says Keiran was my friend. That's not what Declan read. He wants justice. Humans have a right to know what's going on. Marcel says I'm trying to protect you. Declan says the human faction is going to have a say again. Marcel tries to compel him. But Declan's on vervain. If you want to shut me up, you'll have to kill me. Marcel knock him out.
Hope crying, hearing whispers. Davina finds her in the cemetery. Hug. You okay? No. I'm so sorry about Josh, by the way. Davina thanks her. Offers tea to help her head. Hope wants to skip the wedding. I don't want to ruin the day. Davina says you missing it will ruin the day. You need to live in the moment. Josh taught me that. Go on. Davina spells the rose. Lifts Hope's tears into a vial.
Freya says I look like a disco ball. Rebekah tells her to relax. Elijah will come around. Freya says he's different now. Like he should be punished for eternity for the part he played in Hayley's death. Rebekah says wait until you have kids. Freya says If. Rebekah says Keelin doesn't talk about it as an if.
Elijah and Hayley at the art show. He's friends with the cafe owner. She's not appreciating the painting. He says it's beneath you. Shame on me. Heh. He gives her wine. More you drink, the more exceptional the art becomes. She says I used to be intimidated at places like this. This is my first trip to France. You love it here. You're happy. He says it's love at first sight. Something feels right, you don't question it. He's very, very flirty for someone with a girlfriend.
Keeling testing earrings. Freya comes to talk. You have the wrong impression about something. It's my fault. Having a family. I lost a son before he was born and barely got over it. Keelin says it won't be like that for us. Freya says this is something I can't do. I won't. Keelin is not happy with that announcement. Freya says I can't ask you to sacrifice something so important. I can't give you what you want. You deserve better. (2 hours before the wedding.)
Freya sobbing. Rebekah finds her, hugs her. You were right about talking to Keelin, but the wedding is off. Look at our family. How do you tell someone you can't have a child because you're afraid you'll hurt it. That you're toxic and broken and a Mikaelson and that's just what we do. Rebekah says we may be damaged, but we are not doomed to repeat our parents' mistakes. Freya, you always put your family in front of yourself. She believes it, and so does Keelin, so go talk to her now. Freya thanks her.
Elijah looking at more stuff. Louisiana Title Deed.
Manosque. Watching elderly dancers. They got married a year and a half ago. Hayley's sentimental. He asks if she felt like that. Like she was destined for someone. Yes. Once before. He asks her to dance. She smiles and takes his hand. I love the guitar music for these France scenes. SO ROMANTIC. They almost kiss before he remembers himself. I guess I'll see you in the next life. She says if we're destined to meet in another life, know I'll be waiting for another dance. Kisses his cheek.
Davina trying to find an antidote for Hope. Kol says gorgeous, brilliant, and powerful. Remind me never to piss you off. She chants. And something's wrong. She puts more strength in her words. Fire on the table. All ashes! It's gone.
Klaus compels a woman to allow his sister to get married here today. It had been reserved for a year. Rebekah arrives. She spoke to Kol. Dark magic is destroying Hope from the inside out. Only a matter of time before it kills her. How do we stop it? Nothing we can do. How long? Weeks, days, hours. No way to know.
Keelin packing. Freya says please don't. Keelin rants at her. You're the reason I wanted to have kids in the first place. I saw the love you have to offer and it made me want more. Freya thought about it for all the same reasons. She's terrified. Keelin says who isn't? Let's work it out TOGETHER. It's a lot better than the Mikaelson I'm making all the decisions look. If you don't want kids, give me time to process. But if you're open, truly open, then tell me that, too. Freya says I love you so much. I'm open to spending the rest of my life figuring this out. To conquering my fears. to considering a family. And to marrying you today if you still want it. Keeling has to think about it......yes. Yes, Freya. Heh.
Elijah comes down packed. Klaus needs him today. Elijah says I knew who she was. Hayley. I knew who she was. We met 5 years ago. In the hours we spent together, we had profound connection. I walked into that farmhouse and I was completely bewildered. I saw her as an agent of deception for the family I was at war with. It wasn't until my memories returned that I knew I could save her. I can't forgive myself and neither should you. Klaus says Hope is dying. I can't lose anyone else today. She's dying. Elijah says then I suspect I'm the last person she needs right now. He leaves.
Marcel and Davina discussing Declan. And Josh. She says make the city better. It's what Josh would've wanted.
Elijah still has the letter unopened. He opens it now. Nice car. He read it and looks shocked.
Freya prepared. Rebekah says it's time. No one deserves this more than you. Gives Freya her bouquet. Klaus shows up to escort her. Then Elijah is there. You're late. Elijah says fashionably so. Klaus says you're stuck with both of us. They walk her down the aisle.
There's a band. Keelin already there. She's wearing a jumpsuit instead of the dress. Heh. Kol says sometimes family is dinner, sometimes it's daggers. Don't know why it takes something like this to make us grateful. I'm grateful for today and all of you. He never would've predicted Keelin would become his sister.
Hayley thanked Elijah for giving her a beautiful day. I had been holding on to things I shouldn't. I kept thinking that if he wasn't burdened with things of his life, we would've been together forever. My time with you helped me remember the best parts of my time with my ex. Though I can’t say I’ll ever get over him entirely, I can finally look forward because of you. I'll never forget my time in France. And if by some chance we do meet again in another life, I’m going to hold you to that dance. Until then, be happy. And as you grow and find the parts of your life that fit you perfectly, make sure you never let them go.
Kol pronounces Freya and Keelin married. By the power of a 13th century monk and the internet just to be safe. LOL. You may both kiss the bride. Hope gives them a shower of petals or butterflies in the air.
Dancing. Rebekah and Marcel. He says it's never really over for us, for any of us. She sincerely hopes not. Hope and Keelin dancing and laughing. Klaus staring. Hope loses her balance. Keelin says too much champagne. Hope makes a toast. This has been the best day ever. Today made me feel like I'm part of Always and Forever, too. Rebekah and Klaus crying.
Marcel tells Declan to call the meeting off. Unties him. I'm going to make you a deal. Let the humans live in peace and I'll teach you to do this right. You need to understand everything. If you're going to lead the human faction, you need to know how to keep your head. They shake hands. Marcel listened, and now I know how Josh would want me to honor him. Saving the city means change.
Klaus visits Hope in her room. How are you feeling? A little buzzed. He says you better sit up. She had so much fun today. Having our family together and dancing. I forgot how crappy my life is. He says you certainly looked happy. She won't forget she killed someone. Every full moon will be a reminder. I'm really scared to turn. I'm happy you'll be with me. Did you want something? He says no. I have everything I need right here.
Elijah on the balcony. Klaus joins him. Have you told her? I tried. She's my daughter. Elijah....he grabs his brother. Cries a tear.
Next ep - it's starting. She won't survive the night. Klaus can't allow his daughter to die.
