“There’s A Mummy On Main Street”
SPRING BREAK ROAD TRIP — When the urn goes missing, Alaric (Matthew Davis), Hope (Danielle Rose Russell), Josie (Kaylee Bryant), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), Kaleb (guest star Chris Lee), Dorian (guest star Demetrius Bridges) and Emma (guest star Karen David) hit the road to locate the artifact before the next Malivore creature arrives. Meanwhile, Lizzie takes aim at Hope for all the past spring breaks she’s ruined. Finally, the group bands together when a town-wide quarantine threatens to expose their supernatural identities. Episode 12:
Dorian and the counselor on a picnic date. She's afraid of beetles. He asks if she's coming to the mountains for Spring Break. He booked an inn. There's a ton of them in the picnic basket.
Flippers on feet. Dorian couldn't find the urn in the river. Ric says it's not there. Dorian says the slug made you do it. Ric needs to clean up the mess. He's searching for things out of the ordinary. mini plagues. Ric's theory is the urn is at the dam. We're going on a road trip. Dorian has to cancel on Emma and help. But he'll invite her to come.
Ric won't leave Kaleb alone for Spring Break. Come with me. Follow my rules. No vamp powers. Absolutely no vampire powers. Kaleb agrees.
Minivan lol. Kaleb says it's very white of you. And Hope and the girls are on the trip, too. Hope says it's called accountability. Ric tells them no bickering. Hope is burning up. Lizzie says I see right through you. I am who I am. Josie with earbuds. Girls start fighting. Ric tells them to get over it. And now people are hungry. Ric tries to start 99 Bottles of Beer. Josie throws up in the van. Lizzie asks are they here, yet. Josie throws up again. Ric says he's not lost! 37 bottles of Beer now. Maple Hollows 14 miles. Josie wrote a song and sings it. Lizzie asks if they're here again. Yes!
Dorian says the river slows and makes deposits here, so he's diving at the bridge. Ric and all will go to town. Maple Hollows, SC.
Pretty town. Josie says this town has the biggest ball of yarn in the country. Lizzie pokes Hope about the fire in her room 3 years ago. You ruined out Spring Break. Josie got stung and it swells badly.
Kaleb with Emma and Ric. He hears something. Like a generator. Something humming. Run! Run! This seems plaguey. it's plaguey. They jump in the van. Guess we're in the right place. Big swarm of bees outside.
Hornets covering the minivan. And they shouldn't be on this continent. The insects die. Man in suit appears.
Girls come out. This way. Lizzie keeps poking about the fire. Hope says I didn't start that fire or ruin a Spring Break. Josie noticing a boil on her boil. The yellow suit men are putting people on buses.
To the FEMA shelter. Patient registration. Hope tells Ric and Emma that trouble started after we got here. Ric makes up a story for the woman with the clipboard. It's that company guy. He and Hope have noticed each other. She asks Ric what he's doing here? There are people with weapons, too. And SCUBA.
Dorian finds it! SUV pulls up. Mercs want to take it. Pull guns. Bugs show up again. Swarm the men! Then leave. They're stung and in pain. Somebody walks toward Dorian. Monster roars. Mummy! Dorian closes his eyes until it's in his face. VERY tall mummy. It takes the urn and nods its thanks and walks away. Driver of the SUV lowers the window.
**Imhotep controlled insects, too. Egyptian mummies have certain mythical powers.
Night time. Ric and Kaleb. We need a phone so we can call Dorian. Ric wants him to use vampire powers. Kaleb says I want to hear you say it. Not a chance. Deputy Agent Clark chatting up Ric. Ever been to Kansas?
Josie asks Hope who that guy is? Lizzie bickering with Hope again. Hope says maybe I wanted a simple day with my family. I lost the only painting I made with my dad in that fire. Why would I do that to myself?
Clark brings up Mystic Falls. Or your School for Supernatural Children. He wants to talk to Ric and Hope. They searched the van. You're Alaric Saltzman. You do your job right, it makes my job easier. I have an entire town that needs to forget this. You have a vampire with you. The bugs are harbingers. It's the work of a mummy. Our driver is tracking him. He's heading in our direction. We're not equipped to battle a mummy. So, will you help? Hope would be happy to help. Ric wants his weapons. Clark says of course. My team will help with anything else.
Hope tells Ric about Triad and the portal he doesn't remember. Shows him a business card. Look familiar?
Ric going over a map. Route 21 cuts through town. It's coming this way. Emma says maybe let him have the urn. Damn accountability. Ric says damn conscience. Emma needs to find Dorian. He says some Spring Break. She tells him to be safe. Kaleb goes over what they learned. Malivore opening will lead to the end of all supernatural beings. It's a lose lose. Kaleb asks who he gets to fight? Ric wants him to make the locals forget about the bugs. Ric needs Triad to think they're on their side. And there's one more thing I need you to do. Last thing it'll be is boring.
Hope and the twins in town. Lizzie still pushing. Why were you so mean to me? Ric tells them to be quiet. Lizzie says you told everyone I was witch bipolar. You used it against me. Hope swears she'd never do that. I didn't even know then. Josie says Guys, there's a mummy on Main Street.
Kaleb giving people pep talks while he compels them about the hornets. Quit cigarettes today. I believe in you. Then the FEMA woman. You are a scapegoat.
They tell Ric to get back. You're blocking 3 powerful witches. Good point. Mummy sends bugs. They put up a shield. Should we rush it now? Not yet. Now? No. Wait! On 3. One. Two. Mummy makes Hope and Lizzie throw up bugs. Josie blows fire at him. Dust. Urn is free. Lizzie says worst Spring Break ever.
**God, she's insufferable. Write something for Lizzie besides complaining! I bet Josie spread the rumor about her episode back then. Because no one would suspect her. Or it's as simple as another kid entirely witnessing Lizzie's meltdown and gossiping about it.
**At least 3 years ago Hope still had all her family alive, since it was 2 years ago Hayley and Klaus died. The Hollow really screwed that family.
Clark thanks them for cooperation. I hope I never get assigned to look into your school. That'd be a real shame.
Urn and amulet packed up into evidence for Triad.
Mummy's curse in the scarab. Girls have to siphon it. Until we get the urn, we wait. Lizzie says if I have to bug hurl again, I will never talk to you again. Hope. Josie asks why we have to get the urn. Monsters aren't that bad.
Mummy reassembles. Ric says we'll be setting the mummy free from its prison. Here we go. Mummy roars. Clark asks what the hell is happening? Give him the urn! But the urn is gone. Clark tells Ric to do something. Kaleb steals the scarab and throws it to Lizzie. Twins siphon it. Bugs coming. Then silence. Mummy hardens. Curse is lifted. Ric says we do any more work, you'll have to put us on the payroll. Goodnight.
Minivan pulls over. Where's she? Kaleb says there. It's the scapegoat. Kaleb thanks her than says lay low for a bit. Lights behind them. It's Clark. With Dorian and Emma. Ric takes the urn. Sit tight. Clark is impressed. Almost hate to take it off you. They were leverage. Think you know what to do to get them back. Ric hands over the urn. Clark takes it and leaves.
Leaving Maple Hollows. Hope says you hating me all these years makes sense, but I'd never make fun of you for mental problems. Who did you hear it from? Josie.
Ric thanks Kaleb for today. Kaleb says can I be real? We all need access to our full powers. I'm out of steam. I need real blood. The witches need offensive magic. I respect you but times are different now.
Lizzie asks Josie why she lied. Hope wants to know, too. Josie says I started the fire. Lizzie made a remark that I was obsessed with you. I made it up. I didn't want Lizzie to know I had a crush on you. I slipped a note in your room that morning. I did a fire spell under your door. I was only aiming for the note. Any time I like anyone, you go for them, and you always win. She tells Hope of course I had a crush. Who wouldn't?
Emma and Dorian. She knows how she feels about him now. He leans in to kiss her and she says there's more. I was confused. I kissed Alaric with the slug in me. But I don't want to anymore. Positive. Dorian asks if Ric had a slug when he kissed her? Ric apologizes for today. Dorian hits him and says I quit.
Urn at Triad. Boss wants that in the vault ASAP. Clark kills the guard. Then goes in to the Malivore room and drops the urn into it! 2nd key inside. Not long now.
