Episode 5:
Black Forest, Colorado. Ladies camping. toasting the annual trip. They've just graduated from college. Ashley has a philosophy degree and drives Uber. Friend says drink the rum. It'll help. There's a noise in the woods. A deer won't kill you. One girl goes outside to prove there's nothing out there. I'm getting more rum. Then they hear Julie scream. The other girl goes toward the tent flap. She's grabbed and yanked out. Ashley screams.
Sam has a ton of texts. Dean comes back from a supply run. Ghost pepper jerky. Sam says you won't like it. Ghost peppers are really hot. Dean eats it. Then turns around and he's in pain. He's trying to pretend he's fine. Sam opens a water bottle. Dean struggling to wave for the water. He guzzles the bottle down. Sam teasing him. LOL. Dean can't talk properly. LOL. Case in Colorado with the mountain lion. He pours the water all over his head. I'm going to go get ready ....
Dean aims a gun at Samifer. Please forgive me. Shoots Sam in the head. Sam sits up. Heals the wound. The Colt. Did you really think that would work? Poor faithful Dean. We both knew it had to end this way. Dean's burning up. He screams and dies.
Sam wakes from the nightmare in the Impala. Dean says another one? Tell me about it. I'll Freud you. Keep you awake until we hit Colorado. Sam says he's fine.
Black Forest, CO. Going Fed? Nope. Fish and Wildlife. Agent Mark Hamill. Hamill and Ford. LOL. Their ID pics are from years ago. Dean swears he looks exactly the same. Nothing's changed. LOL.
Go in to talk to the sheriff. She's dubious. She says they don't get many big cats around here. Bears don't do sustained attacks. These aren't animal attacks at all. Too clean. You think a person did this? If he did, he's a monster. There's one witness. Ashley Monroe. Her friend's heart was ripped out.
Hospital. Ashley has a cut down her cheek. Ask her what she remembers. Flash to being chased by a man. Sam asks the nurse to step out into the hall. Dean tells Ashley that we'll believe you. Whatever you're about to say, we've heard worse. Heard weirder. She says it was a man who killed my friends. But it wasn't a man. He had claws and fangs. Dean says werewolf. She says there's no such thing. He says werewolves, monsters, they're all real. We hunt them and kill them, it's what we do. Whatever comes at you, we'll handle it. Did you get a good look at it?
He cut her face. Tell anyone about this, you'll get worse. Then he let her go.
She says you have to protect me. Dean promises.
Sam finishes in the hall. Dean says Andy May. He's a werewolf. Sam says it wasn't a full moon night. But he'll go find an address.
Impala out to a cabin. Andy lives here with his brother Josh. They knock. Andy and Josh aren't chatty. We don't want visitors. Sam asks if they've seen this woman in a photo. Dean says she was attacked 3 nights ago. Her friends were killed. She got away. Andy says maybe we could help. They set traps sometimes. Sam asks them to write their number. Josh says we don't have a phone. Shut the door.
Ashley calls. Boys leave to go to her.
Josh mad at Andy. Andy didn't know what the say. Josh killed the girls. Andy didn't want to hunt people in the first place. Dad wouldn't.... Josh yells that Dad is dead! If you don't want to hunt people, we'll stop. I don't lie to you. I look out for you. We'll stop. But first....that Ashley girl, she's gotta go.
Sleepy Bear Inn. They bring her to a room. She didn't have anyone else to call. Take our room and we'll grab a room next door. Dean wants to take out the brothers. Sam says this case is weird. Seems too easy. Ashley asks them to stay until she falls asleep. Sure, yeah.
Josh and Andy outside the motel. Andy can smell her. The guys that came to the cabin, that's their car. Josh says don't worry, we'll do it quick and quiet.
Dean's trying to stay awake. Ashley it tired. Hospital pills really work. Dean says they're the good stuff. She asks if he likes his job. Monsters? Dean says do I like it? I do. There's bad. A lot of bad. Still....feels good to help people. She asks if he wanted to be anything else. Jimi Hendrix. No, not really. I'm where I'm supposed to be. She says I just graduated college. We'd gone camping together every year since we were little girls. I just moved back here and I have no idea what I'm going to do with my life. Dean says you have plenty of time. She says it's all so random and awful. Wouldn't it be great if it was all planned out for you? All decided? Dean says no, not really.
1:20AM. Dean asleep. Sam wakes him. Where is she? The door was open, she was gone, and you were sleeping. What the hell?
Ashley tied up in a bloody room. Andy doesn't like this. This isn't who we are! Josh wants to eat her heart.
Dean says no way they took Ashley without me waking up. No way. They hear a scream. Bust into the house.
Andy and Josh leave her. Dean and Sam come in. Dean frees her. Where are they? They ran. Josh and Andy attack in the cabin. Josh fighting with Dean and Sam struggling with Andy. Andy picks up a gun. Aims at Sam. Then he yells at Josh. Josh has Dean against the wall. There's a shot. Andy shot Josh. Sam stands up. You don't have to do this. Andy says he was my brother. But he was never going to stop. He turned into a monster. And I'm a monster, too. He shoots himself in the heart. Dean says that was weird. Ashley falls onto the antlers! Well, this is a bitch. She sits up with them puncturing her torso. I was doing so well, too! What are you? Sam, you don't remember little old me? Her eyes white over.
Lilith!!!
You're dead. WAS dead. Boss brought her back from the Empty. God. I was supposed to seduce Dean. Oh well. Chuck sent you to kill us? No. I wish. That's not how this story goes. She put Dean to sleep. Sam asks what do you want? The Equalizer. Give me the gun and we'll be done. Dean says God can come get it himself. The hard way, huh? She loves the hard way. Demon blade and angel blade. She blasts the boys back. Sam unconscious. Dean gets up. I'll show you where it is. She says but what if you're lying? Then you can kill me. But she can't. Still, a girl has needs. If this is some desperate attempt to save poor Sam, you'll be begging to die. So are you sure? He says yeah, I am. Deal.
**Hmmmm what's the plan, Dean?
Sam dreaming again. Dean beats on him and tosses him through the railing. Dean wears the Mark of Cain. Dean, stop, this isn't you. Dean lifts him by his throat. Demon Dean stabs Sam with the blade.
Impala. Why? Just, why? Lilith says Ashley had the best hair. He asks why are you doing this? You said it was stupid. She says it is. I died to release Lucifer from the cage. I can't hurt God. But I can hurt you.
Sam gets up and out of the cabin. There's an old truck.
Dean asks why the games? She's amused. Chuck's line, word for word. Like a low rent Dean Koontz. He has a very weird, very pervy obsession with you. It always ends with one brother killing the other. Guess that's why you had to see the werewolf bros die like they did. Foreshadowing.
Be a good boy and show me that big gun, huh? The motel. She cuts Dean's face. Ever hear about the Chinese Death by a Thousand Cuts? He tells her to go to hell. She keeps cutting. I can make this last forever. Sam shoots her in the head. And she can't move. Devil's trap bullet. We upgraded. Where's Chuck? Sam will kill her again. She says you killed me because I let you. Now I'm feeling less generous. Shaking the building and blowing the lights. She pushed the bullet out of her head. Boys can't move. She says the gun was never there. Would you leave it home? What if you needed it? It's not in the room and it's not in the bunker. The Impala. They can only watch her look. Glove compartment. Well, this was fun! Sam says take it. We'll get it back. She melts it into molten metal on the ground. Thank you, boys. See you soon. She's gone and they can move. The metal cools.
**Well, that went wonderful. Actress looks like she had a lot of fun in the role.
Sam on the phone. Voice mail again. Dean says all we could do is warn them. God was supposed to be gone. So what, we're stuck in his maze still. He's going to throw our greatest hits at us? Sam wonders why he doesn't kill us already. Dean says Lilith said Chuck prefers only one ending. You kill me or I kill you. Sam says my dreams or visions all end the same way. We kill each other. What if I'm seeing Chuck's endings? How? Because of the bullet wound. It's a link? What if somehow I'm in his head? Dean says this was supposed to be over. We were done. We were free. Now....what are we supposed to do, man? Keep running in this hamster wheel until we die? Or we get boring and he ends us? Sam says we fight. fight God? Without the gun? It's God, Sam, and he's coming for us! How the hell are we supposed to fight God?
