“The Eradicator”
THE HEART OF SMALLVILLE — Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) is worried about Jordan (Alex Garfin) as he and Sarah (Inde Navarrette) continue to grow closer. Meanwhile, Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) pays Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) a visit. Lastly, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) has been spending more and more time with John Henry Irons (Wole Parks). Episode 14:
Edge at the son absorbing. This is what he was trained for. Meant to be the Eradicator.
3 weeks later. Clark says it's not safe out there. The Cushings are having open houses. Lois wants Johnathan to chaperone Jordan with Sarah. He wants to work with Irons. I want to be prepared for when he shows up again. Clark says you're making too much sense. Go. Hardware store went out of business. That's the 4th local store this month. Clark hears Sam upset.
DoD holds Smallville hostage? Lois says Chrissy is doing her job. People want to know when you're leaving. Sam agreed to speak at the Town Hall today to calm people's nerves. She says be honest for once. Sam says which is it - protect the world or protect our family? I never seem to get it right with you.
Clark goes to the Cushing house. Lana lets him in. What brings you to Smallville? I grew up here. Met my best friend here. Kinds feels like she's avoiding me lately. Lana apologizes. But seeing him reminds her of what she's losing. When you left, I would've done anything to keep you here, but you needed a fresh start. That's what we need now. After what Edge did, the trust is gone. I'm sorry, Clark, but we've made up our minds.
Sarah and Jordan on the porch. She says no sane person is moving to Smallville now. Moving somewhere else will give us a fresh start? There's one crappy offer on the porch. They start to kiss and Sophie yells I'm telling Mom!
Irons and Johnathan. Kid asking a lot of questions he was told to not ask. He thinks Nat helping him build the suit was awesome. Irons reminds him why it was NOT awesome. You should be out being a normal kid. Go bother someone else.
Lois goes to the paper. Tells Chrissy she trusts her to ask the hard questions. She got an offer to sell the Gazette to a multinational conglomerate. We're going broke. The town is literally disappearing. Lois says if the Gazette folds, Edge wins. Chrissy will be underwater in a month if she doesn't take the offer. She doesn't have a choice.
Edge is done taking from the son. Voices says the time has come Krypton will be reborn. Blue lines glow on him.
Clark tells Lois that Smallville doesn't seem right without Lana Lang. They enter the high school and people are chanting. Lois says we have to do something.
Kyle is going to pack up at the station. Lana wonders if they're making a mistake leaving town. Are we giving up too easily? I don't want us to regret this. He doesn't think they have a choice. I'm appreciative of the Kents, but their friendship won't put food on the table. She knows. But it's hard. He knows. Got each other, it doesn't matter where we live. We can make any place home.
Kids find the Kent boys and Sarah at the diner. Invite them to a party. Sarah says Shaun's passive aggressive. I'm like Hester Prynn since my parents got put on the outs. She's going to hang out with Sophie.
Lois offers to help her dad. Meeting called to order. They want to know when the soldiers will leave town. Sam says we'll go once they remove all the hazardous materials from the mines. No one is profiting from this. Chrissy asks where Edge is right now. Is he in custody? Lois says Edge escaped a few weeks ago. Superman and the DoD are tracking him, but his whereabouts are unknown. Derek Powell's mother shows up. I have proof the DoD has been lying.
Kyle at the office and Tamara has questions. You always had my back. I want you to know I told the chief in Bristol he'd be lucky to have you. Good luck, boss. He'll be lucky to have you.
Someone's coming for Leslie, killing the soldiers in the path. It's Edge and she's pleased.
Powell says Derek died because of what Morgan Edge did! You have no idea what it's like to lose a child. The guilt a mother feels. I need to know the truth! Sam is told about Edge's attack. Clark sneaks out at the same time. The town is still left angry and wanting answers.
Superman returns to the base. Irons found Edge in Metropolis. Lois says there's a bigger picture we're not seeing. I should go with you. Asks her dad to keep the boys safe.
Metropolis. Superman and Lois arrive. Edge and Leslie at a park. Superman says I don't think that's Morgan Edge anymore.
The party. Jordan gets a call from Granddad. Johnathan tells him to put it off. Be a normal kid.
Kyle returns home. Tamara got me thinking maybe you're right. Maybe this isn't the right call. Lana says it's scary to walk away from all this. Kyle gets a call.
Sarah and Sophie. Parents enter the room. We have some news. Your dad just got a job offer. Bristol County. 2 hours away. It's a great opportunity. Their fire chief is getting ready to retire. Sarah calls them lying hypocrites. Kyle says we're doing the right thing for our family. Sarah calls them stupid. Blames them for Edge wrecking the town.
Superman and Irons confront Leslie. Tal-Rho. No one needs to get hurt. Leslie says there is no Tal-Rho. Irons alerted there are 4 new Kryptonians in the park. Edge tells them to bring the city to its knees.
Superman flies after them. Irons left to deal with Leslie. Lois tells people to take cover! Metropolis is under attack!
Superman attacks a Kryptonian. One down. Another attacks him. They fly through a building.
Leslie punching Irons' suit. He blasts her back. Grabs her by the throat. He can't pull the hammer to him for 90 seconds and another Kryptonian is attacking.
Johnathan and the girl from before. She says I'm the queen of mixed messages. He says he was warned about her. She moved there from Central City 2 years ago. My dad was sent to prison. Mom and I needed a fresh start. Then people think I'm some sort of standoffish bitch. She felt she could relate to him being the new kid. If that means we're cool, how about I show you around? He says skip the water tower this time. She says that's about it. Sarah arrives.
She needs to talk to Jordan. Tells him she's moving. News from Metropolis. A girl turns on the TV.
Lois on the roof with a reporter with a camera. Janet, we need to tell people what's going on. Lois takes a mic and tells them Morgan Edge has begun an attack on the city.
15 seconds for Irons. Leslie leaves. He's still tangling with the Kryptonian man.
Kyle turns on the TV. Lana, you seeing this? They see Lois tell people Edge can mind control people.
Jordan and Johnathan staring at the broadcast. John.... This is how she died.
Leslie behind Lois.
Irons hammer hits Leslie! Larr's down. I got another one.
Lois resumes the broadcast. Keep your eyes open for any suspicious activity.
Just edge is left. He blasts them into a SWAT truck. Superman's never seen anything like that. Edge is gone.
Sam is told the boys aren't at the Kent Farm.
Jordan tells Sarah they can make this work. I don't want to lose you. She doesn't know how it works long distance. I'm scared we'll start to hate us. Sam shows up to take the boys. Jordan asks if they can take Sarah home. Sam agrees.
Nighttime. Superman asks Leslie how Edge used the Eradicator. It's in Edge? Where would he go next? Leslie says to make more.
Sam driving the kids. Edge appears in the road and they crash into him. Tumbling SUV. None of the airbags inflated? Edge has blue lines like that much power has literally cracked him.
Sam tells them there's a pistol with Kryptonite in the glove dept. Sam tells Johnathan to shoot. Be steady. You only have one shot. He shoots and Edge disappears. Then grabs Jordan. I love you. Sarah lets Johnathan out. He tells her to go home and find her dad. Grandpa, are you okay? Worry about me later. Find that ELT.
Superman hears and finds Johnathan. He tells him Edge took Jordan.
Jordan asks what do you want from me. Edge blasts him with blue energy. Jordan screams through it.
Superman above the Earth to target where Jordan and Edge are.
He returns to Lois. Where are the boys?! Edge took Jordan. I looked everywhere. He's gone. He's gone. She asks what are we going to do? Weeping. He doesn't know.
Jordan turns red before Edge stops. Then stands. Well done, my son. Now. Let's begin. Eyes glow red.
Next week - the finale. Looking to save Jordan. Sam wearing a sling.
