"Frenemies - Chapter Ten: The Killer"
THE AFTERMATH - Courtney (Brec Bassinger) and the team regroup after a dramatic confrontation leaves battle lines clearly drawn. A terrifying discovery made by Mike (Trae Romano) and Jakeem (Alkoya Brunson) forces Pat (Luke Wilson) and Sylvester (Joel McHale) to go on high alert. Finally, Paula (Joy Osmanski) and Larry (Neil Hopkins) take matters into their own hands to make things right. Episode 10:
Crock house. Family photos in frames. Artemis on the fridge. Paula frosting a cake. Ripped City energy bars. Artemis' football accomplishments. It's a happy morning in the house. Crocks go jogging through downtown. Even friendly with a policeman. They reach the Mahkents' house. Pat and his family are our family now. But we don't use violence to solve our problems anymore. He says they can't let Grandpa and Grandma Icicle get away with it, though. We have to do something. Paula says we will. What? i don't know, yet.
Mike and Jakeem in the woods. A wish produced a phone booth. Thunderbolt says you're welcome. It has a ring tone. Please deposit 10 cents. Do you have a dime? Jakeem has bubblegum. Mike says you should've been more specific with the first wish. Thunderbolt rambles about an old master. they hear a noise. The roaring gorilla again.
Pat and co worried about Mike and Jakeem. They lied about where they were sleeping over. Sylvester says the boys were already off doing what they set off to do before things went down with the Mahkents. We've been set up before. Bet you my red boots and one of Pat's puffer vests that it was a distraction. So who's left?
Hospital. Sofus in a bed. Lily says this is not the way of our family. Giving them time to plan to attack us again. Cameron says Papa said.... He would've died if Beth Chapel hadn't called 911. Lily is insistent. I'm going to take your grandfather home. Find the Whitmore girl. You know what must be done next. Cameron says he knows.
**Cameron has WAY more truth to learn. His father did not do good things! He had no problem murdering anyone including kids. Cameron needs to hear Barb's story as well as Courtney's. It's a shame Sofus wasn't awake, then.
The mural. Cameron stares at it. He's still bruised from the fight.
Rick getting checked by Beth's mom. His heart rate and blood pressure are elevated to unnatural levels. Beth says it's the hourglass! You've been wearing it too long. They keep trying to get through to him and he's barely holding it together. Insists he's fine. Beth says take off your hourglass for ten minutes. See how you feel. Rick says don't ever tell me what to do and leaves.
Sylvester and Pat arrive at the Mahkents. They could kill us the second we step on the front porch. Pat wants to know if Mike is here. And if not, we have a chance to calm the waters. We have to try. Follow my lead, alright? Check your temper, like Rick should've done. Sofus answers the door. Feel alright? Come in.
Into the library again. Sofus would offer tea, but he's in no shape to make it. He's using a cane. Pat asks if he's seen his son. Should we have? After everything that's happened, have you done something to my son and his friend Jakeem? Sofus says if he felt better, he'd be insulted at the insinuation he'd hurt a child. Sylvester reacts. Sofus says they were defending themselves in their home. Pat is trying to keep peace. Lily is out to pick up things for his recovery. Sofus says this should never have happened. They came to America to escape home. We've been hunted for centuries because of what we can do. Fathers, mothers, children, burnt like witches. Pat says we don't want to hurt you. Let's put an end to this feud. Sofus says you killed our son. There's no coming back from that. Not for my wife. You should take your family far from Blue Valley. Or finish us. Sylvester says we'd love to. Sofus urges them to go before his wife returns. Go, please!
Whitmore house. Barb on the phone. Looking for the boys. Knock on the door. Lily comes in! your husband and his friend came to our house today, so I came here. Your family has hurt mine too many times now. Paula saves Barb. I won't miss on purpose again. You have one second to leave. Lily does. Paula tells Barb she needs to learn how to use the crossbow.
Mike making a wish to get them safe. But he's trying to remember the right address. They get caught in a net! Cindy's net. She cuts them down. Ow. What are you doing here? We wanted to see if you're okay. We found a giant white gorilla. She says yeah, that's what that trap is for. She tells them how to find the road back to town. Go play some video games and leave this to me. She thinks getting the gorilla will clear her name.
Boys appear in the diner with milkshakes on the table. it worked! Thunderbolt forgot about the gorilla. Check, please? LOL
Barb and Paula in the country to fire at a hay bale. Barb says I'm not a superhero. Paula says not all superheroes fly. Some fire arrows. Courtney is a fighter. She gets that from you. I don't want to lose my only friend. Now try again. Barb fires. We'll keep practicing. Where'd it go? you fired it, right? Yeah. I've got more arrows in the car.
Courtney finds Cameron. How is your grandfather? He's fine. She's so sorry. Never meant for any of this to happen. Yolanda and Rick were trying to protect me. He says my grandparents are not evil. They're just angry. I'm angry. You should've told me the truth. She didn't know how. She didn't want to change the memory of his father for him. Your father killed people to get what he wanted and he was about to kill so many more. Cameron says he wasn't a good guy all the time, but he was my dad, Courtney. Mine. Did you have to kill him to stop him? Did you have to take him from me forever? She says we didn't set out... He presses her to tell him who did it. She says it was an accident. She says it doesn't matter who. He says it matters to him. Please. Please. She says I did it. I'm sorry. Cameron never wants to see her again. Walks away.
**Tough for a grieving kid that never experienced his father's evil and has a hard time gripping that part of him. He didn't see it, so it's abstract. All he's got is that he'd lost both parents at a young age. Does Beth's goggle computer have footage of Icicle's deeds?
**We only have 3 episodes after this and we don't know the big bad. But this ep is named The Killer.
Crocks at the Mahkents. Sure you want to do this? Paula says they might be more open-minded with us. Lily answers the door. Crocks smile. She leads them to the library. Crock says hope you have insurance. They ask to sit down. He gets to the point. We're here on behalf of Pat and Barbara and the kids. We want the same thing. Lily says how could you presume to know what we want. Paula says no more revenge plots. Don't forget. Learn from it. Forgive one another. Lily will never do that.
Garage. Pat will fly in the robot. Mike runs in. Pat rushes to hug him. Sylvester says you had a lot of folks worried. Jakeem says they found a huge mutant gorilla. A white one. The adults know what it is. Pat says one of the most dangerous things the JSA ever faced.
Crock says it ain't about us. Jordan wanted to create a brighter, ssafer future for our children. Paula says if this continues, it'll only bring more destruction. Jordan didn't want this. He says we know how this goes. We've done this for a long time. Paula says what will this do to Cameron? Crock says do the right thing. Give it up like we did. Sofus can forgive. Can she? Lily doesn't say.
Courtney at home. no Rick. Pat says he needs to get his head on straight. The gorilla used to be a man. Ultra Humanite. Just another criminal. A scientist put his brain in an actress named Dolores Winters. Surgery with help from Dragon King. He assumed her identity and fooled everyone. She won an Oscar. He'd been in her body for a year by then. When the JSA found out, he and Dragon King stiched that ape together and put his brain in that. What does he want? Besides revenge, it's anyone's guess.
Crocks leave the house. I think they're considering it. Let's hope so.
Lily straightens the family portrait. I miss our son so much. Weeping, she turns to Sofus, who hugs her.
Ultra Humanite is the next Eclipso. The next evil to be stopped by all of us. that's what I was talking about when I said we had to come together. It'll take everyone, including the Mahkents. We can come together and get another new start. They agree.
Crocks hurry out of the rain. Artemis calls. I got in! I'm going to Nebraska! First female quarterback in college football! They're heading home and will celebrate soon. We love you so much! Everything's coming up Crocks in the end! A flyer. Follow a trail of flyers. What the hell is this? Someone wants our attention. Open manhole.
They continue below. There's more trail of flyers. Are the Crocks armed? He's carrying a backpack. They keep walking in the tunnels. Find the viewing room. The hooded figure stabs them! The wounds ice over. It's JORDAN! At least you'll die together. He lays Paula next to her husband. They're gasping as they freeze. I love you. I love you, too. Crocks frozen dead. Then Jordan shatters them into nothing.
Next ep - Jordan back in town. I'm a changed man. Starman wants to take him out first chance he gets.
