"A Perfectly Good Wedding"
THE EPISODE WAS DIRECTED BY GREGORY SMITH ("EVERWOOD," "ROOKIE BLUE") - The Kents struggle to adjust to their new normal. Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) helps throw Kyle (Erik Valdez) and Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) an impromptu wedding that doesn't quite go as planned. Gregory Smith ("Everwood," "Rookie Blue") directed the episode written by George Kitson & Max Kronick (#404). Original airdate 10/21/2024.
"Chrissy" needed to stick with season 1 hair. This cut and color has not flattered her at all! Especially with the film tone the show uses. She looks ill, when I doubt Sofia Hasmik is. It's really done a disservice to the character when no one else looks like this.
Episode 4:
The sky.
Lois at her dad's grave. Holding his dog tags.
The boys inside the house.
Clouds.
Jordan hears something.
Lois turns. Clark lands! She walks to him and he walks to her. They hug. She kisses him. The boys run out on the porch, then to their parents. Group hug!
3 weeks ago, I died. In an instant, everything went dark. Then, just as fast, the light returned. But the life I came back to was different than the one I left.
He has a scar. Lois gets a scan. Kids helping him at the farm.
We'll never forget the sacrfice that gave us a second chance. To do more. to be better.
He holds Lois in bed. Spooning again.
Lois wants him to go slow. The scar hasn't healed. My father was a 60 year old man. If Luther finds out you're alive, he'll send that thing after you again, and you're not ready. You want to do something? Take the boys training.
Chrissy and Kyle. He's secured the music. She doesn't want him to meet her mom. She's very intimidating. It's not you. We haven't talked in a while. I always feel like I'm doing the wrong thing around her. He says you're in luck. Moms love me. She says you met one mom when you were a jock and a big deal. But he's confident.
Clark and Jon on a glacier. Once you master this, we can move on to the Kessel run. Jon gets the reference. Clark's so happy lol. Jon dives off the cliff. Then flies in the ice canyon. Clark smiles watching. Then.... Pull up. Pull up! Pull up, Jon! Jon smashes through the mountain. Flies up, then lands. What's next? Clark saks you ever seen Fury Road? They fly together. Clark's happy and Jon's having fun. Then Clark feels something in his chest and crashes into the ice. Jon asks if he's okay.
Gazette. Still no sign of Luthor's people. Jordan is listening, but so far, nothing. Phone rings. Chrissy answers. What? the whole floor? What happened? It's nothing..... A pipe burst at the courthouse. Lois says have it at the farm. We need some joy. Chrissy says it's supposed to be small. Lois keeps going, so Chrissy agrees. Then asks her to be her maid of honor.
Jon wants Clark to get tests. Lois comes home. Clark tries to play dumb. Clark finally says he took a tiny....spill. Jon heard his heart skip a couple beats. Clark tries to play it off. I'm not going anywhere. This is just a fluke. She says I have great news - we're hosting a wedding!
Meeting Chrissy's mom at the diner. She asks how long he's been divorced. About a year. Lana and I are on great terms. Sarah asks if she'd like dessert. Then leaves a plate that's on the house. Kyle would've liked to meet Mr. Beppo.
Jordan listening to the recording again. Jon enters his room and tells him what happened. Dude, you need to come next time. Stop listening to the stupid message. It's screwing with your head.
Lois asks Clark if he wants to talk about it. He says everything feels different. I don't feel as strong. I can barely hear out of my left ear. Is this what I am now? She says maybe. He says that sucks. She says what matters is you're here with me now. Then it occurs to her that he said that sucks. He thinks he's feeling the wine. She says that's a first. He wishes he could thanks her dad. She leans on him. You being here is all he wanted.
**Hmmm....will limited Clark last all season? Will they find that Luthor still has the heart preserved somewhere and restore Clark to his old self? Will he retire and the boys will take over the superhero thing together?
Barn. All set up for the wedding. Kyle and Clark talking. Gettin' married in Superman's house, hot damn. Only thing that would make it better is a ...best man? Yeah, of course!
Chrissy arrives. Heads upstairs.
Jordan is listening. Hears the lady that kidnapped Sam. Tells Jon where she is.
Chrissy brought her mom's dress. Mom got married in it at 19. Jon tells Lois they found Gretchen in Metropolis. We need to go now.
Kyle and Clark in the kitchen. Flavor's....not half bad. We have a wedding day miracle. I used your recipe! Mrs. Beppo arrives. She asks if Chrissy is here. Upstairs. Are you doing this only for the baby? This is happening way too fast. Kyle appreciates the concern. But he loves Chrissy and she loves me. You can change up in Jordan's bedroom.
Jordan upstairs in the barn. Sarah finds him. He watching Coach set up for the music. She asks if he's alright. You seem off. He says there's a lot going on right now. It's complicated. She asks him to uncomplicate it. He says I tried to save him. I just couldn't do it. I didn't even come close. Now I don't know what I'm supposed to do. She asks what do you want to do.
Gretchen trying to call Otis. Sheryl Kimball. Lois tells her that Luthor had that monster kill Sam. If you go on the record, I can protect you. Sheryl has known Lex for 30 years. There's no way you can keep me safe. Lois says I put him away once, I'm going to do it again. You either help me or Luthor kills you. Those are your only options.
**Keep Jon's powers secret, though. It won't take long for Luthor to find out Clark is alive again, but that can be the one ace in the hole. It's the one thing he doesn't know now.
Clark looking at the scar as he gets dressed. Lois walks in. He says she looks incredible. Fastens her necklace. He says she and Jordan will figure it out. She says he looks great, too.
Sarah finds Chrissy. She's dressed, and panicking. Where's your purse? The special gummy bears? Baby. Chrissy would LOVE something, but things change..... And she's freaking out. Sarah asks are you okay? Yeah. Just a little nauseous. Could you get me some water? Yeah of course.
Sunset. Lois finds Jordan. We need to talk about that phone call. He says he's fine. She's not. I want us to move past this. Please talk to me. He wishes she chose him. Everything is so easy between you two. But me. Everything I try, I screw up! She says it was all Luthor. Your dad and Grandpa would never want you to blame yourself. Jordan says I'm not mad you chose Jon. I'm mad you were right. I keep letting you down. She loves him so much. It kills her he ever thought she didn't. Please let me make this right. They hug.
Kyle looking at the set list. Coach has the top 100 wedding songs. Clark says they're classics. Kyle wants Blink 182 or 311. Sarah runs in. Dad! Chrissy's gone.
Night. Moon out. Clark asks Kyle if he's doing okay. Yeah. I just wanted a family again. I miss that feeling. Clark says ever since I came back, I haven't felt the same. Starting to wonder if I'm ever going to. It's been really tough. But I'm trying to take it one day at a time. Sometimes all we can do. I think, if you're patient, everything's going to be fine. Kyle says Super Best Man ever. Thanks, bud.
The boys hear a fire in Metropolis. Jordan and Jon argue about handling it. Jordan pushes Jon to do it.
Lois finds Chrissy in town. Wanna talk about it? Chrissy says when Kyle proposed, it was so romantic. I was so excited to marry him. Then everything spun out of control. I started to realize I barely even know Kyle. Did you know burnt orange is his favorite color? Mom showed up with this dress and all I could think about it is that she was pregnant and felt she had to marry my dad. Lois tells her to tell Kyle what she told her. After that, you'll know what to do. Ready to head back? Chrissy asks to sit there a little longer. Lois holds her hand. Take as long as you need.
Jon finds a woman in a burning building - it's Sheryl! Then a man fires a device at him and knocks him down. The fire was bait?
**No, Jon, a hoodie isn't enough of a costume. At least take Jordan's head gear. So much for the secret!
Farm. Chrissy and Lois arrive. She goes to Kyle. Jordan tells Clarks that Jon is in Metropolis.
Superman sucks up the fire. The man blasts him with fire and Superman keeps walking at him. Not bad for a dead guy.
Chrissy tells Kyle she's sorry she put him through this. I don't want to break up with you. Not ever. But maybe we can slow things down a little. He doesn't want to lose her. She promises. He says you did run out of a perfectly good wedding. She says starting now. No more running. Just kiss me.
Clark returns home. Otis is at the DOD. Maybe you can flip him. Jon says Gretchen lady got away. Jordan brings Jon his goggles. And jacket. They tease each other.
Kyle calls the attention of the crowd. We will not be getting married tonight. But we will continue this at a later date. But since you're all here, let's get our party on! Coach starts playing. People start dancing. Chrissy parts to talk to her mom. Sorry you came all this way for nothing. She says no, I got to see what a strong woman my daughter is. I just want to see you happy. Chrissy is glad she's here. They hug. Will you dance with me? Please? She pulls her mom over to Kyle.
Clark and Lois in bed. He's a little sore. I think the wine helped. How many glasses did you have? I wasn't counting. The house is empty. He turns the light out. They start kissing. Text messages. Don't answer that. Not a chance. NEWS ALERTS: Superman lives!
Next ep - Luthor is going to send his monster, we're not safe here.
