VENGEANCE COMES TO ‘MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.,’ ON THE SEASON FOUR PREMIERE ON ABC

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all-new time period, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network. In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organization. Little did they know that they were up against the deadliest threat they’ve ever faced – an extremely powerful Inhuman, Hive, who was transported back from Maveth in the body of their worst enemy, Grant Ward. The team was able to thwart and kill Hive and take down Hydra, but they are all still mourning the death of fellow agent and Inhuman Lincoln Campbell.
In light of the Sokovia Accords, and with Hydra obliterated, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimatized again and no longer needs to operate in the shadows. Since the world presumes that Coulson is dead, the organization needed a new Director to be the face of the organization. Coulson finds himself back in the role as an agent and teamed with Mack, and together they are tasked with tracking down and confirming the presence of Enhanced people, aka Inhumans. Agent May is tasked with training specialist strike teams, and Fitz and Simmons have taken a big step forward in their relationship.
In the season premiere episode, “The Ghost,” Ghost Rider is coming, and S.H.I.E.L.D will never be the same.

Episode 1:
Truck speeding along.
Woman getting dressed.
Truck guys have weapons.
The tires are shot out or blown. Lights blow. The men ready to shoot. Daisy drops in? One man dies. Car coming. Daisy protects a woman on the street. Rocket hits the car coming and flips it, but it keeps coming in flames. The man kills a bad guy. Then grabs another. Puts him in the trunk. Daisy sees the car guy has a flaming skull. Sirens.
The bus. Mack and Coulson playing a game. Backgammon. They've been traveling a lot. They're being called back to HQ. It's classified. Mack tells the agent to do full inventory.
May sparring with an agent. Kicking his butt. What was his mistake? They answer. Bus comes home. May tells Piper to take over.
6 weeks in the air. Coulson asks why they were called in. May. She gives them a report about LA. Mack says we could be there now. May didn't want to send it on the wire. A victim is in custody, critical. He saw a girl from the news. Quake. Director thinks they let Quake go. May will bury it until the official police report comes through. Coulson and Mack get a few hours to find Daisy before SHIELD goes after her with orders to kill if she's responsible for the attack. Coulson and Mack are shocked over the kill order. May says Quake is known to the world as an outlaw, dangerous. Mack and Coulson still believe in Daisy, of course.
Daisy visits the perp in the hospital. He dies due to the Rider's touch. She blasts the wall open and runs.
Simmons testing Fitz's virtual world. Mack and Coulson arrive. Simmons got a promotion. Special adviser to the Director. Coulson says they're leaving in 10. Fitz made new toys. New hand for Coulson. An exploding pen for Mack. They leave. Simmons has reports to finish. She and Fitz don't get to spend time with each other much. Or with their friends.
Daisy dresses and leaves a motel.
Ghost Rider and his prisoner. He beats the criminal for info. Tell me or you have to tell him.
Mack and Coulson looking into the case. Hoping they beat Daisy to the semi. Bus lands. Yo-Yo comes on. Greets Mack. She tells him to ask her to dinner again. He says you know the rules about fraternization. She asks about the mission. Can I help? He reminds her about the Sokovia Accords. Coulson says they found the truck. She tells Mack to look her up in Miami.
Radcliffe. Fitz arrives. No Jemma. Woman walks out naked. Aida. Radcliffe covers her. His android.
Fitz is shocked. What the HELL? Radcliffe gave his computer personal assistant a body. Fitz says you are not allowed experimentation without approval and oversight! Radcliffe wanted to show Fitz and Simmons. She's nearly perfect. Mentally, well, she can't past the test at the moment, but with your help... Fitz says they have to disclose this now. Radcliffe agrees. Now let me show you how it works.
Daisy gets on a bus. Yo-Yo is behind her. Daisy texted her. Yo-Yo helping her. Gives Daisy meds for bone breaking. They talk about Daisy's case. Daisy tells her about the serial killer. Yo-Yo wants a photo of the guy. Daisy thanks her. Yo-Yo says Coulson wants to find you. They won't give up on you. Daisy gets off the bus.
Simmons brings May something to sign. May doesn't understand the new color code of security. Simmons has a higher clearance than May. Simmons tells May about the report in a hospital. May tells her to ask the Director. Ooooo, tension.
Daisy talks to a man tagging a wall. Ghost Ridier painting.
Coulson and Mack get to the truck. Get into it. Coulson's new hand has x-ray vision. Bodies in the cargo section. Blood everywhere. They tore each other apart.
Ghost Rider's prisoner is still alive. Rider says there was no buyer there. Fires up the car. The man screams. He drives the car into him.
Daisy talking to car guys, asking about the Charger.
Simmons tells May that Daisy is in LA, and Coulson and Mack are there, too. You knew I'd find out, and now I have to report it. May wants to know how comfortable Simmons is with the Director. Do you trust this guy? Simmons has been clawing for as much power as she can grab to control as much as she can in the base. the Director trusts her, so she has to keep that trust to keep her place. She orders May to clean up this mess.
Fitz and Radcliffe. AI is banned after Ultron. Radcliffe says this is mimicry. She's not a weapon. Aida greets Fitz. Asks about Jemma? Fitz asks her if she could tell him exactly what she is designed for. She says Radcliffe wanted to prevent pain. You have lost many friends. The hope is to prevent lost lives. I protect. A decoy target. A safeguard. A shield. Fitz says turn her off. You can't tell Simmons about this. It's too dangerous to show the new Director. Jemma can't know. Until....Aida's perfect.
Coulson and Mack. Asian gang comes to pick up the box. The delivery men tell him what happened at the truck. The box is powerful enough to bring enemies to their knees. Coulson wants to wait to see if anyone else makes an appearance.
Ghost Rider suits up. Daisy arrives. Junk yard. Robbie, I'm looking for a guy with a 69 Charger. He says it doesn't ring a bell. He only works nights. He offers to let her look at the book in the office. Hmmm.
The box is opened and they are infected. See things. Freaking out.
Robbie tries to attack her, and she pushes him back. He flames up. So, you've got the Devil inside you, too.
Mack wants to call for backup. May shows up. Takes her team in. Coulson and Mack watch through surveillance. May feels a ghost walk behind her.
Daisy and Robbie fighting. He says he only kills those that deserve it. Vengeance. She says you don't get to decide who gets to die. He says he's not the one who decides and turns into the flaming skull. She wants him to kill her, but it doesn't. Walks away and leaves. She used enough power to hurt.
Asian gang on the Bus for medical care.
Simmons and Fitz in bed.
Aida locked away.
Yo-Yo gets a photo of the image from Daisy.
Robbie gets to a car. Helps his younger brother into a wheelchair. Daisy watched them from across the street.
Coulson and May playing backgammon. She tells him the Director will want to have words with you. Coulson chats with her. May sees something for a moment. uh oh.
Next week - Daisy and Robbie chat again. Ghost Rider time.
