CHARLES MICHAEL DAVIS MAKES HIS DIRECTORIAL DEBUT - When it's discovered that The Hollow's latest servant is on the loose, Freya (Riley Voelkel) places a protection spell on the compound, forcing Klaus (Joseph), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), and Hope (guest star Summer Fontana) to remain inside. Meanwhile, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) takes matters into his own hands when Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) is reluctant to perform a dangerous ritual needed to strengthen their defense against The Hollow. Finally, while Freya enacts a risky plan that brings her face to face with their latest threat, an unexpected twist leaves her life hanging in the balance. Charles Michael Davis also stars. O+ blood. Elijah says ugh, you heathen. LOL. Klaus says no feeding in the house while Hope is here. Perhaps he'll go out for dinner later. Elijah came to tell him about a plan. Freya locking them in the house.
Freya leaves a shop. Sees Dominic!
Hope reading.
Hayley looks at her parents' photo album.
Klaus tries to crush the jawbone.
Marcel hearing things above.
Hope reading rhymes. Klaus would rather she didn't play in here. Teases about bats. He's seen no evidence uncle Elijah doesn't sleep in here upside down. LOL. She asks if a little boy used to live here. Klaus says we can discuss ancient history another time.
**Marcel's old stuff, I'm guessing.
Freya and Keelin. Keelin has a job interview at a clinic later. Freya is surprised she's staying. Keelin says no one really knew me in Austin. Here, there's not much to hide. Maybe we can celebrate if it works out. Freya says she has to find a way to put Dominic down. Then ....but once I take care of it, celebration is in order. Meet me for a midnight drink at Rousseau's.
Elijah comes to Vincent. Vincent has a blade. They discuss the Ancestors. The Harvest Ritual would restore the link, but Vincent will not demand the sacrifice of anyone's daughters. He won't start a war with the coven to defeat The Hollow. He storms out. Elijah takes the blade out of its chest.
Hayley with the stuff. Figuring out which to keep and donate. Klaus says Hope is restless. Hayley says she's bored. She wants someone to hold the other end of the jump rope. Klaus says she'll be above such things. Powerful beyond measure. Hayley thanks him for keeping violence out while Hope is here. He would like to protect her innocence as long as possible. She suggests he help sort through this stuff since they're stuck. Klaus teases about the Guns n Roses albums. Smart ass.
Freya comes to Josh. She needs a vampire for a spell. My brothers don't know I'm here. I need help setting a trap for Dominic. You get to keep Marcel alive. Are you in?
Dominic in the old house. Sofya arrives. He doesn't like secrets and uses magic against her. She tells him about a plan to get Marcel back. He says he will get Marcel. She says our deal was for the Mikaelsons. Marcel is with me. He puts her down. Seems I've broken our deal.
Marcel pacing. Someone opens the door. Hope! She brought a tin soldier. He hasn't seen this in a century. She asks if he wants to kill her dad. He says I'll tell you anything you want to know if you give me some blood from your dad's stash. She says I'm 7, not stupid. He calls her brave. She says I'm a Mikaelson witch. He says let's start fresh and makes a proper introduction.
Freya did her spell. Josh has been made to look like Marcel! She tells him to lay in the circle. The second Dominic steps in it, use your vamp speed to get out. He has a weapon that can kill an Original. Josh says let's never hang out again. Ever.
hayley wants family pictures. Klaus worries about members not answering phones. He's restless. I can't be trapped here! She says you're not in a dungeon anymore. It's okay. He says the water in the pipes was like nails on a chalkboard. I was starving. My mind turning on me. It was relentless. First few weeks were the worst. She says you're worried about Marcel. He says no, let him suffer.
Dominic arrives. And reveals Josh. Freya comes in to battle. And gets Dominic locked in a circle.
Elijah summons Vincent. Elijah has slit the throats of 4 French Quarter witches! On consecrated ground. Vincent says this is not the way you do it! Elijah says find a way. Any delay will only serve our enemy. Vincent is horrified.
**Elijah's journey this season is definitely to lose his soul while saving Klaus'.
Marcel and Hope. He's surprised no one's come looking for her. She says my mom trusts me. He says Klaus has never trusted anyone. She asks why Marcel hates him. Marcel doesn't hate him. I'd like to. It would make things a lot easier. But you can't hate someone who you loved for so long.
The bodies set up in the cemetery. Vincent starts the ritual, but says this isn't right. I'm not an Elder of the Quarter. Elijah says you were Regent and you were selected by The Hollow. Make this your kind of magic!
Freya is done. Broke through the last of Dominic's protection spells. Josh won't leave. She asks why? We're not friends. He leaves. Dominic says you have questions. She asks about the bones. She'll give him a magic heart attack. And if he won't give her what she wants, she'll take it. he says he doesn't have the info. But knows one thing. He knows where Keelin is now.
Keelin leaving.
Freya says he's lying. He says I know she's important to you. I sent my friends to kill your little wolf friend. They're with her now.
Keelin is attacked.
Dominic says kill me and you'll never find out where her body is. She throws him at a wall and he's able to attack her with magic. She looks dead.
**Control, control! Freya. Anger is so often this family's downfall.
Vincent at work. Prays to The Ancestors. Thunder. They have blood tears. Ancestors will not accept the sacrifice. Vincent says they hate you and hate me for helping you! Vincent goes to Davina's crypt and breaks it open. Takes her skull out. Back to the altar. Chants magic.
The bar. Keelin comes in. Josh asks if she's okay. She's scratched up. She asks if Freya came in.
Hayley's neck broken. Klaus kills her attacker.
Hope senses something is wrong. Marcel tells her it's not safe to go.
Keelin does CPR on Freya.
Klaus fighting Dominic's minions. He gets stabbed.
Marcel wants to get let out. Hope takes off her bracelet. Marcel asks her to trust him. We're family What does your mommy say about family? That we stick together always and forever. Look at me. Do you trust me?
Freya breathes life. How long was I out for? The boundary spell must've fallen, I have to go.
Dominic suggests hurting Hope and Klaus's eyes glow. He kills Dominic. Looks for Hope. Finds her bracelet in the dungeon and no Hope or Marcel. Klaus has that murderous look again.
Cemetery. Elijah is back up. Vincent pleads to Davina. Elijah asks what are you doing? Vincent says if there's a shred of Davina over there, she can accept the sacrifice. He lost faith in the Ancestors, but never lost faith in her. More thunder and lightning. It rains. The girls live again.
Freya gets back to the house. Keelin checks Hayley. Freya tells her to leave. Please.
Klaus searching. Marcel and Hope on a bench. Dad....what happened? He's bloody. He says it's paint. I made quite a mess. She asks where's Mom? He says at home, waiting for you. Are you okay? She says don't be mad. I let Marcel out and he kept me safe. Don't be mad at Marcel, either. He's my friend.
Awwww
Vincent says you are so lucky. Elijah says yes, we were. Vincent asks if he remembers being a human being? Elijah doesn't. Whatever happened tonight, we prevented the city from being destroyed. Vincent says you are an infection on my city. You have no virtue and no value. He feels sorry for Hope to be raised in a house with a punk like you and will pray for her soul because you haven't got one.
Klaus and Hayley on the balcony. Hope in bed. She didn't buy the paint story. Marcel made sure she didn't see anything. Told her to close her eyes and sing. Klaus says she called him her friend.
Elijah returns. Tells Freya about the link restored. She tells him about a wolf bloodline that was entrusted with keeping the bones. Tyler Lockwood was the last of the line!
Josh comes to the grave. Vincent has to explain. Davina helped us once again. You felt her? Yeah. I made her the gatekeeper of all the Ancestral magic we have in the city, so right now Davina Clare is the most important ally we've got.
You came to fight, it ain't going to end well for you. Klaus didn't. He remembers telling Marcel about closing your eyes and singing. Marcel and Klaus bicker. But Klaus says he intends to prevent Hope from knowing we're monsters as long as he can. Marcel knew. Klaus won't let the Hollow take the family. Including Marcel. The only chance we have to survive is to work together.
Keelin finds Freya again. Getting kicked out of your house sucked. Freya says I'm not a decent person. I'm ruthless and callous and vicious when it comes to protecting my family. Freya says we're done here. I made a mistake because I was worried about you and that can't happen again. Keelin was terrified when she was Freya dead. I want to stay for you. You make me feel understood. Known. You deserve someone who gets you. I hope you find it. Keelin..... Freya grabs her and kisses her. Whoa. Okay. And again.
Hope asleep. Hayley sets a photo on the nightstand. Crawls into bed. They have the same birthmark!
Sofya kicks the blade out. The Hollow comes to her. The Ancestors have returned. Their power seeks me out. They'd drive me out. But I won't let them. You will give me a safe place to hide. It enters her head? She picks up the blade. And her eyes glow. Yep, possessed.
Next ep - Witches have a message. Davina! The Hollow's weakness is Hayley.
