“The Inverse Method”
JENNA DEWAN (“SUPERGIRL”) GUEST STARS – Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) are on a mission to find Lois’ sister Lucy (guest star Jenna Dewan), and Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alex Garfin) become more and more unsettled as Clark’s (Tyler Hoechlin) painful visions continue. Meanwhile, Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui), Kyle (Erik Valdez), and Sarah (Inde Navarette) share a family breakfast and discuss Sarah’s upcoming quinceanera. Lastly, Natalie (Tayler Buck) and her father (Wole Parks) share a bonding moment. Dylan Walsh also stars. The episode was directed by Melissa Hickey and written by Jai Jamison & Andrew N. Episode 4:
Lucy packing. She tells Lois she can't stay. It's too much. Lois says we love having you here. Lucy says it's too much to be around your perfect life. It's only making me worse. I need to be around people who understand me and know who I'm going through. She'll stay with Ally until she can afford her own place. Lois says Ally is a parasite. Lucy says she's lost her job, her fiance, Mom! There's a hole inside me and staying here with you won't fill it! Ally has already helped me.
Present - Ally says your sister doesn't want to see you. I don't force any of my congregants to do anything they don't want to do. We're on a journey to completion. I'm simply the guide leading the way. Lois says she exploits the weak-minded. Lucy is broken and broke. Ally says Lucy calls your father regularly. Lois says my father didn't have to pull Lucy out of a bathtub. I did. They bicker. Lois insists Ally should be in prison for the rest of her life. Lucy will talk on the podcast tomorrow. Lois will make sure everyone sees Ally for the absolutely fraud she is. Then I'll take you down once and for all. Ally says I don't respond well to threats, Lois. Neither does Lois. Ally leaves. Lois calls Chrissy. You were right, we need to find my sister.
Bizarro using heat vision. Getting flashes of Clark's life. They're seeing what each other sees.
Clark talks to the boys about it. They have questions. Jordan says she's been listening to that podcast all morning. Aunt Lucy was on it. Clark tells them to grab their stuff. He knocks on Lois' office door. Lucy recanted her story and attacked Lois. Lois says she's gone, Clark. She's so far gone. He says find a way to bring her back. Lois will try.
John Henry and daughter need parts. Clark enters the barn. Lois is driving today. She hugs her dad and leaves. Clark offers him coffee.
Lana pays at the diner while the rest of the family heads to school. Emily says people were in here asking questions. Dean digging into Lana's past. They asked about Sarah, too. Lana thanks Emily.
John's never known quiet like this. He and Clark drinking coffee on the porch. Always lived in cities. And the Army was noisy as hell. Clark says his dad was in the Army. They chat until Clark gets a vision. He's coming! Bizarro lands at the farm.
Bizarro and Clark rush at each other. His necklace is like a magnet ? Some kind of power bubble around them. John uses the hammer on them. Bizarro flies away.
Lois comes to Chrissy. Chrissy says she's been looking at the dark web. She made an alias and got an invite to Ally's conference in New Carthage, a couple hours away. Lois says I'll drive.
Kyle is pissed. Lana says forget about Mayor Dean for a second. What about Sarah? If something does come out, don't you think it's better for her to be prepared? Kyle suggests digging into Dean's family. Lana says kids are off limits. Sarah is stronger than you think. We need to trust her.
Jordan and Sarah at school. Sweet. Johnathan and his girlfriend. She says the yellow mist makes you feel like Superman. She uses it. Some feel strong. Some get super hearing. Johnathan doesn't know if it's his thing. She says Timmy bought 5 inhalers. Kisses him. Love you, J.
John and Clark. We can track your strange twin. Energy signature on the pendant. We can track it. John says the suit is busted and the hammer is cracked. You need help. Ask Anderson and that team of his. Clark leaves.
At the store. Sarah chatting with the girl manning the counter. Jordan says John's never had the best taste in women. LOL. Jordan hears shoplifters. Two boys in the store. Jordan uses his ice breath. They slip on the slick and fall. Then run out. The clerk girl says it's on surveillance. Nothing happens here that we don't see. Jordan's expression changes to oh shit.
Jordan calls his grandfather to help him with the security camera. Granddad already scrambled the original. Easier than Candy Crush. He'd been golfing. Sam tells him to not use his powers like this. You're not trained. Always be aware of your surroundings. A little to the left, you'd be in a blind spot.
Chrissy wearing a blonde wig to go to the meeting. Ally says you're all here because something is missing from your life. You've looked in religion. Philosophy. A walk in nature. The big football game at home. Even your jobs. You've looked everywhere. But if you don't know what you're looking for, you're never going to find it. That's why you're here today. So I can show you what's missing.
Superman meets with Anderson. Who isn't crazy about the lack of protocols. We need to use the DOD satellites. Superman says your team isn't ready, General. Please. Let me know.
Football practice. Johnathan watching on the sidelines. He takes a hit of the yellow mist. Gets zoom vision. Asks Coach to get some throws in to push himself like Timmy does. Nat is in the stands watching. Johanthan finds the receiver and throws. Play after play he's zeroed in.
Lois waiting. Lucy spots her in the parking lot. Lucy, 5 minutes. Please. Lucy says room 452.
They meet in the hotel room. Why recant after all this time? Lucy says Ally's calling is too important for you to interfere again. Your article ruined my life! Lois says she was trying to get her little sister back safely! Lucy says I'm never coming back.
Ally talking about deceit and betrayal. Chrissy gets a text. Ally singles her out. Everyone looks at them.
Ally says I'm glad you're here, even under false pretenses. Chrissy says it's not easy to get an invite to one of your brainwashing sessions.
Lucy says you drove Mom away. Lois says I was 8, you don't get to blame that on me. Lucy says you never talked about her again! You hide the truth!
Chrissy supports Lois. Ally says I'm not here to humiliate you. She turns on a secret camera in Lucy's room.
Lucy says I saw my other self! You ignored it! That WAS the story. I took the pills to cross over! Lois says you weren't in your right state of mind. Lucy insists on her POV. Lois insists Ally is a monster.
Ally turns off the feed.
Lucy reveals that she recorded their argument. Stay out of my life, Lois.
Chrissy confronts Lois. Ally broadcast it for the whole room. Chrissy says you don't trust me, do you? Lois can explain. Chrissy says she needs time before they talk about it.
Sarah returns home. Kyle says we have things we want to discuss with you. Lana tells her what they learned. Kyle says politics is dirty business. Dean is sleazy as they come. So he might take things and weaponize them to win. Sarah won't let anyone make her ashamed for that time. if that ignorant loser wants to attack me, let him. She'd love to get on a debate stage and let everyone know what she thinks of his country fried ass.
Lois returns home. Tells Clark I messed up. No one will believe me if Ally goes public with that recording. Lois thought she could save Lucy. So stupid. Clark's mom said it's never stupid to try to help someone.
Hit in Bolivia. Satellites confirm the energy signature. Anderson tells his team to bring it here.
Bizarro on the salt flats again. The super kids confront him.
Clark hears the event, and gets a vision. Tells Lois two of Anderson's team are dead, then leaves. John Henry says he has help, right? She says not enough. He runs for his suit.
Superman arrives. The pendant is off. He tells the kid to go. Then attacks Bizarro. John Henry arrives. The suit and hammer barely have energy but he's going to help, anyway. Power depleted. John sends the hammer into Bizarro to save Superman and it shatters. Bizarro sends him flying in return. Superman gets to his feet and charges. Beats on Bizarro while they fly. Bizarro takes off. Superman returns to John Henry. John's unconscious. X ray to check on him. Flies away carrying him.
Nat and Johnathan return home. Lois says it's your dad.
Hospital. Nat rushes to him. Superman says I'm sorry. She won't accept it. How could you let this happen? Go! Leave us alone.
Dean and Kyle and Lana. Lana says can we agree our children are off limits? Dean says couldn't agree more. But Kyle, word around town is you get messy with tequila. He leaves them. Lana calms Kyle.
John Henry is breathing on his own again. Nat's staying with him tonight. Sam says he's heading home. Keep me posted. Jordan follows.
Jordan says with everything that's happening, I should be ready to help Dad. I want you to train me. Okay. But this stays between us. understood? Get some rest. You're gonna need it.
Kyle sits at a bar. Bartender lady says we've missed you around here. But not nearly as much as I have. He came to talk to her about that.
Lois leaves a message apologizing to Chrissy. Call me back. Thinks back on the original argument with Lucy. Whatever I have to do to stop Ally, I will! Lucy says not even you can stop the truth from coming out.
Chrissy at the paper. Dials a number. Ally! Can you meet me? I want you to tell me the truth about Lois.
