#SleepyHollow season finale 4.13 - "Freedom" #sleepyheads

"Freedom"

FRIDAY, MARCH 31

ALLIANCES ARE TESTED ON THE ALL-NEW SEASON FINALE OF "SLEEPY HOLLOW" FRIDAY, MARCH 31, ON FOX

Dreyfuss finally garners enough power to infiltrate the White House, and his group of minions grow strong enough to take action. Can Team Witness stop Dreyfuss in time? Find out in the all-new "Freedom" season finale episode of SLEEPY HOLLOW airing Friday, March 31 (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (SLH-413) (TV-14 D, L, V)

Cast: Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane; Janina Gavankar as Diana Thomas; Lyndie Greenwood as Jenny Mills; Jeremy Davies as Malcolm Dreyfuss; Rachel Melvin as Alex Norwood; Jerry MacKinnon as Jake Wells; Oona Yaffe as Molly Thomas.

Guest Cast: John Noble as Henry Parrish; Kamar de los Reyes as Jobe; Seychelle Gabriel as Lara; Terrence Mann as The Devil.
TVLINE | Tell me something good about the finale.

It’s the first time we see the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in action in the real world. They are actually, for the first time, galloping on Earth. We see how powerful they are and what they can do. That represents, essentially, the ultimate challenge for our team. It’s something that, not even back in Seasons 1 and 2, that Crane and Abbie had faced. They had one or two of the horsemen, but this is the full team riding, and under Dreyfuss’ control. So that’s a big thing, just in terms of action and plot… [Also], you’ll learn why the motto of our country is “E pluribus unum.”

Will there be a season 5? Those who watched the show in the beginning know the Witnesses' mission is 7 years long.

SH is down around 36% in live ratings average vs. Season 3 - less of a drop between every other season (1 to 2, 2 to 3). I don't have DVR and streaming numbers. Giving the show season 5 would enable syndication. They have 62 once Friday airs. Most of FOX's shows haven't done well for a while, so SH doesn't look horrible in comparison. It really will come down to the deal the network and studio can make.

Personally, I think the show was reinvigorated this season with the new location, cast, and villain. These writers are more focused with a 13-ep season, as well. Plus, the visits back to Sleepy Hollow have kept the show grounded in its original mythology. I prefer shows/stories with writers that don't get intimidated by the shipper section of fans and lose their way catering to that group instead of focusing on season arcs that match their beginnings (Cough*Arrow*cough). Nicole choosing to leave was the best thing creatively to happen to Sleepy Hollow.
