Peggy gives a recap in voice-over.

Peggy in her new apartment. She looks through a book of symbols.
A man is climbing up to her room. She pulls a gun on him. Jimmy looking for apartment 3F. Next one over. She shuts the window.

The girls' building. Peggy sits for breakfast with the ladies. The manager has a story to tell about Houdini performing at this building in the past. No men above the 1st floor. Molly is in trouble. Go to your room and pack your things. Your last evening at The Griffith. Let that be a lesson for the rest of you. Peggy leaves once the speech is over.

Agents discuss Leet Brannis. He died 2 years ago. Russian service. Talk to your friend at the Embassy. Sousa says the license plate belonged to a Howard Stark car. Find out who was driving.

Jarvis's place. His wife says leave the dishes, she'll take care of them. He goes outside to meet with Peggy. She wants to know how the thief got into the vault. Jarvis says she's not dressed for it. Did you hear anything the night of the break-in? There was a thunderstorm that night and the power went out. Agents knock on the door. Jarvis answers while Peggy hides. Jarvis tells Thompson and Sousa that Stark is away. They ask about the car. He says he reported it stolen days ago. Thompson insists on discussing it further. How about a ride downtown? Lead the way. Jarvis leaves with them. Peggy's still in the house.

Kzmynski wants someone to cover his shift tonight. Peggy comes in late. She asks him who he's bringing to the show - his wife or girlfriend? LOL.

Peggy watches Thompson interrogate Jarvis. thompson asks Jarvis if he knows the men on the photos. asks if they were working for Stark. Sousa tells the Chief that if the car was genuinely stolen, we have nothing on him. Thompson's getting nowhere with Jarvis. Until he says you were charged with treason. So, you dodged the conviction, but still got a dishonorable discharge. Threatens to talk to the Office of Immigration. That'll be a nice conversation for the wife. Jarvis says Leave her out of this. Chief thinks Jarvis is about to fold. Peggy decides to leave.

She grabs a file and walks back to get a signature from the Chief. He signs.

Thompson lets Jarvis sit on the offer. Peggy listens to him talk to the Chief. Then Peggy stops the Chief from talking to Jarvis by says she lost the stolen car report. Jarvis stands to leave, knowing now that they have no good case.

Chief chews out Peggy. Makes her apologize to Thompson for ruining the case.

Peggy in her apartment. She hides her gear when someone knocks and puts on her robe. It's Angie. She comes in and sits and rants about her day. Peggy says she's about to go to bed. Maybe another time? In the hall, they meet Dorothy Underwood, the new tenant. She's from Iowa and is pursuing a ballet career. Angie walks off.

Peggy goes to Stark's. Jarvis shows her the vault. That's a big hole in the floor. They rig up to drop down there. She wants to talk about his charge of treason. They land in the sewer. The water would've run off into the river. With a raft it would float all the way to the sea.

Thompson leaves Sousa and Kzmynski for the night. K. tells Sousa to give up the crush. Peggy's out of his league.

Peggy knows the sewers from 1942. She says she needs to know why he was charged. Your honor is not enough. Nor is Stark's trust. Jarvis says the charge was dropped almost immediately. He met Anna in Budapest. She's Jewish. The general refused to sign a document to get her safe passage. So he forged the signature. But was caught. Stark used his influence to help. Anna doesn't know what you do for Stark? Not recently, no. Jarvis is not always truthful with her, but he is honest. A hard distinction to maintain. They reach the harbor. She sees a boat docked with Brannis' symbol on it. Ah ha!

Jarvis and Peggy drive up to the boat. He asks if she has another pistol. Heh. Approach and climb on the boat. She takes the lead. Finds crates. All Stark labeled. Peggy opens one and the thing glows green. Jarvis says it causes constriction so tight it breaks bones. She wants to report the boxes. Jarvis asks her questions, interrogates her to show she can't be the person to call this in. He says they'll use this to tear you down. you must clear Stark's name from the shadows. She tells him to use the call box across the street and talk to Sousa.

Jarvis disguises his voice to sound like a New Yorker. Tells Sousa where to find the boxes.

Peggy is found by a big guy. Uh oh. He charges at her.

He tosses Peggy and she drops her gun. Says he's not afraid to kill a woman. They fight. He grabs a pipe. Jarvis hits him from behind. Big guy gets the drop on him. Peggy uses the constrictor on the guy's arm, then knocks him out with the pipe. Sirens. We have to go! They leave just before the car arrives.

Kzmynski and Sousa get out of the car. Find the guy still unconscious. And the crates. Sousa tells him to be careful. Kzmynski is thrilled, thinks they'll get a promotion. Calls the chief. Thompson and the Chief come with more agents and take care of the scene. Drive carefully with that truck. Don't want to be the one that sunk Manhattan. LOL.

Kzmynski drives the big bad guy. Big guy wants a doc for his arm. Asks if the English broad worked for you. They get rear-ended. K. gets out of the car. And gets shot 4 times. It's the assassin. He kills the big guy, too.

Peggy walks into work and sees all the call center girls weeping. Rose, what is it? Peggy, it's too awful. The office is just as somber. Flowers on Kzmynski's desk. Sousa says this could happen, any time, any day. Professional hit on him and our witness. Knew that tip was fishy. Someone targeted them and I'm gonna find that bastard. Chief says don't anyone forget that Kzmynski would be alive if not for Stark. Stay vigilant. Not losing any more of you. Now I'll call his wife. And Thompson will call the girlfriend.

Peggy goes to the automat. Angie pours her a coffee. Anything else? Peggy thought she might tell her about her day, if you have a moment. Angie says she's all ears. Peggy says one of my coworkers died today. Sudden. She doesn't know why it's hit her so hard. He was a brute, rude, disrespectful. But good at his job. Customer wants a refill. Angie will serve the jerk, then they'll share the schnapps.

2 weeks from tonight - Protect the legacy of Captain America. Peggy's mad at Stark.
