#Galavant - Episodes 3 and 4

Galavant - Week Two

On Sunday's Galavant (8/7c, ABC), our dashing hero (Joshua Sasse), his squire (Luke Youngblood), and Princess Isabella (Karen David) are on a journey to defeat the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson) when they come upon a group of pirates, led by Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville.

Episode 3: Two Balls - A trip to Sid's hometown proves he has not been truthful.

Sidneyland. Sid is adopted. His hometown thinks he's a hero. He asks Isabella and Galavant to go along with it. They meet his parents. And they think Galavant is the squire! LOL.

Valencia. 48 days since being conquered. King Richard has the jester tell jokes. Queen tells him to give up on them. King and Queen of Valencia brought in. Then he talks to the eunuch and tells Gareth to kick him in the junk. Then tells everyone else to, as well. Queen and jester go to her bedchamber.

Sidney's parents are Jewish? Galavant has to eat at the squire table. Princess Isabella tells them she and Sid are engaged. Song time! "Oy, What A Knight". Galavant doesn't play along. Oy vey. LOL!!

Sid's room. Galavant and Isabella bickering. Sid comes in and apologizes. His mother calls for him, and the squire.

Gareth and Richard. He's happy Madalena is excited about the party. Chef says there's only a small portion of vegetables. He burned all the crops. And executed all the musicians. Gareth improvised and brought in the executioners. But the drummer only knows one rhythm. LOL.

Party prep. New song. "Jackass in a Can". Squires don't like their knights. Galavant realizes how he's been.

Richard's party is sparse. Madalena and the jester arrive. Jester tells one joke that bombs. Richard burns the last vegetables. And realizes that was a horrible idea. Now the executioner band. "Dance 'Til We Die". Wow.

Sid's party. Isabella plays nice. She looks beautiful.

Death dance! LOL. Dance 'til we die, and some are. Richard tells them to stop. Knows they're not having fun. Share what you really feel about this ball. It's a roast now. Eunuch says your wife is getting it on with the jester. Gareth, kill the eunuch. Ooops.

Galavant asks Sid for a word. He hired him because he was himself in the interview. Be yourself. Be proud of the man you are. I certainly am. Isabella asks what he was doing. Sid talks to his parents.
Episode 4: Comedy Gold - King Richard throws a ball.

Off to Valencia. Hold it together for a few more days. "Together". They're driving each other nuts. Until bandits find them. LOL.

Madalena and the jester being watched by Richard and Gareth. Richard doesn't know how to compete with funny. Gareth tells a joke that's completely bleeped, and his mother taught it to him!

Richard confronts the jester with a fake sword. Please teach me to be funny, I'm begging you.

Isabella and Galavant and Sid taken to pirates. Why are there pirates without a boat? You're on land. Pirates say you don't need a boat. But they have a song. "We're the lords of the sea, except we're not on the sea." Ha! Their ship washed up on a hill and it's stuck. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. LOL. They find the Jewel of Valencia. Isabella put it with her girl supplies in her purse and thought no one would look. Wow.

Richard with the jester. Teach me to be funny so I can woo my wife. Whatever you say, my king. Comedy song. Richard is not good. "Comedy Gold".

Pirates are eating Sid's hair pomade. LOL. Ewww. Pirates lost the key to their chest. Head pirate wants Galavant to walk with him. We met before at Lillith Fair. Peter Pillager the Pirate King. Offers Galavant a decision. I kill you all, or you join my crew. Choose me or the mouth breather. Galavant takes the sword.

Madalena brought to the throne room for Richard's show. He's trying to do stand-up. Madalena is not impressed. Jester tells the cook to give the king the pie. He smashes it on Gareth's face. Quick, more pies!

Galavant makes the pirate walk. They return and Sid and Isabella took out the pirates. Galavant asks them to work together and we can do something great. He offers to help the pirates figure out how to get the ship down.

Madalena finds the jester. Jester says he can't do this anymore. Feels guilty. She calls the guards to take him to the dungeon. Richard comes up to see Steve. She didn't know Steve's name. Richard tells more bad jokes.

Pirates like being called maggots again. All work together to move the boat. Sail to Valencia. "Togetherness will see us through to the end." Isabella tells Galavant she feels guilty about something. He says he got her trail mix, including raisins. She says she lied. I'm leading you into a trap. And he wasn't listening. Sorry. She says she's looking forward to seeing her parents. To Valencia!
