“All-Star Team-Up”
ARROW’S FELICITY SMOAK (EMILY BETT RICKARDS) AND RAY PALMER (BRANDON ROUTH) ARRIVE IN CENTRAL CITY; EMILY KINNEY (“The Walking Dead”) GUEST STARS AS BRIE LARVIN — Barry (Grant Gustin) is surprised when Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) arrives from Starling City along with her boyfriend, Ray Palmer (guest star Brandon Routh), who flies in as the Atom. They’ve come to visit S.T.A.R. Labs as Ray needs help with his suit. Their timing turns out to be fortuitous because it’s all hands on deck after a meta human named Brie Larvin (guest star Emily Kinney) unleashes hundreds of robotic bees to attack and kill her former co-workers, including Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays). A group dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton), and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) turns into a disaster. Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & Kai Yu Wu (#118). Emily Bett Rickards and Brandon Routh guest star in the episode as Felicity Smoak and Ray Palmer, and it looks like Dr. Tina McGee (Amanda Pays from the original Flash series) is back too!
Recap: Episode 18:
Car chase. Police after a suspect, Eddie and Joe. Joe tells Barry they have another one. 18th and Olive. Barry takes care of various suspects.
Jewelry store robbery. Barry and Joe and Eddie take care of that, too.
Hudson University. Applied Physics and Robotics building. A professor gets attacked by bees.
Eddie and Joe and Barry at the scene. Barry says the woman went into anaphalaxis. Probably bite marks. Barry tells Joe that they should tell Cisco and Caitlin. Joe says it's too risky.
Star Labs. Cisco makes various pop culture quotes, lol. These aren't normal bees. Felicity shows up! Can you guys come outside for a sec. They do and.... What are we waiting for? Up there? Is that a bird? It's a plane. It's my friend. LOLOL. Hi, I'm Ray. LMAO. Ray Palmer in the ATOM suit.
Barry says he seems a little....tall for you. Barry Allen, are you jealous? No. I wish you would've called. This isn't a good time. Caitlin and Cisco and Wells discussing the suit with Ray. Leads to Felicity and Ray rambling about their sex life, LOL. Barry says we already have a metahuman controlling bees. The team agrees to split up. Felicity suggests she and Barry run out for coffee.
Iris comes to Eddie and asks if he's working with the Flash. He says of course not. She says she thinks he's hiding something from her. She leaves. Joe comes in. Eddie says I can't keep lying about the Flash. We haven't had sex in 2 weeks. Joe says keeping her out of it keeps her safe.
Felicity and Barry. She digs into what's bothering him. Barry says I don't want to put anyone else in danger. Eddie shows up. So everyone but Iris? How do you lie to everyone you care about? Eddie says Iris knows I'm hiding something and it's putting distance between us. Felicity suggests a group dinner.
Bee keeper lady sends the bees at a man.
Cisco and Ray going over the suit problems. Ray compliments Cisco and Cisco remembers the day that rewound!! Alarm goes off. Caitlin says there's another bee attack.
Felicity says beeeee careful. LOL. Barry gets to the scene. he's too late. No sign of the bees. Until they fly out of the man's mouth! How do I get out?! I'm surrounded! Police arrive. Joe sees Barry attacked outside and runs to him. Barry goes into cardiac arrest.
Joe calls Cisco. Cisco says step away, there's a defibrillator in the suit. Second charge and Barry breathes again.
Star Labs. Cisco apologizes. The schematics weren't up to date. Caitlin says you're fine now. Terrific. Barry changes clothes. Time for dinner. Uh oh. a Bee is in the suit.
They meet Eddie and Iris. Iris asks Barry how they got a reservation. Ray bought out the entire restaurant for the night. Too much? Just a tad, sweetie. LOL.
Cisco goes to Joe at the precincts. Second victim was into robotics, too. Cisco wants to talk about Barry. Is there something going on with him, something he's not telling us? Joe says not that I'm aware of. Cisco says something is bothering Barry. Joe plays it off. Cisco flashes back again. Joe asks if he's okay. Yeah. Just a headache. Thanks for the file and the talk.
Dinner. Iris and Eddie asking about Felicity and Ray. Iris makes digs at Eddie's secrets. Awkward..... Food arrives. First course. Ray envies Barry spending so much time at Star Labs. Barry excuses himself and leaves the room. Felicity goes to the ladies' room. Follows Barry. What is going on with you? I know about bad times. Barry says Wells isn't who he says he is. He's the man that killed my mother. But he's been helping you? Yeah. But....I was so wrong about him and I don't know who to trust. Ray says hey, guys, things are getting intense in here.
Iris begs Eddie to talk about it. Eddie says I'd love to, but I can't. She says when you want to talk to me like a partner in this relationship, call. I'll be at my dad's. She leaves. Eddie thanks them for dinner and leaves. Barry gets a text. Emergency at Star Labs. Felicity says go. Ray says only 17 more courses to go. Heh!
Bee at Star Labs. Barry speeds in and catches it. Saving Wells. Under microscope, Cisco sees it's a robot.
And the creator sees them on video. A blonde woman with glasses.
Star Labs. They team gathered. Cisco and Ray find the bee amazed. Both victims worked at Mercury Labs.
Wells, Barry, and Joe visit. Joe tells her about the murdered former employees. You're looking for Bree Larvin. She was fired for weaponizing the bees. Joe says then you're a target, too. She says she can take care of herself.
Barry meets Felicity at the coffee shop. Says he likes Ray. She says he is a good guy, like Cisco and Caitlin. Let your friends have your back. He says what if I tell them and it backfires. wells is their mentor, their hero. She says Oliver would ask me to do weird things for him. He'd come up with these ridiculous excuses and I'd help him because I knew he was a good person with a good heart. Cisco and Caitlin are no different.
Iris and Barry at Joe's house. Do you think Eddie is cheating on me? No. She doesn't know what else he could be hiding from me. Barry says remember when Joe would come home from work with a blank look on his face. Seeing people murdered can be ugly work. Eddie's out there in the darkness every day. If he doesn't want to talk about work, he probably wants to keep you in the light. She's surprised he's helping her see Eddie's POV. Barry says he makes you happy and I want you to be happy. Welcome home.
Felicity and Caitlin watching Cisco and Ray. Felicity says it's kinda like dating Barry in Oliver's body. A sentence you will never repeat! LOL. Bee activates. They're going after Tina at Mercury Labs.
Star Labs. Cisco and Ray name her Bug-Eyed Bandit. Ray volunteers to go. Cisco is going. Ray flies to Mercury Labs.
Tina tells Bree I did what I had to do. You wanted to hurt people.
Ray gets there and zaps at the bees. "We have the technology". Ha!
Flash confronts Bree. She sends her bees at him. Felicity hacked in and is controlling them. But Bree's fighting it. Felicity says she's like my nemesis.
Cisco tells Ray to fly to the ocean to fry the bees. He does, and fries the suit. Cisco says we'll catch you. Alright. He opens the back of the van and Ray flies in. The ATOM lives. Fist bump. Ow.
Bree vs. Felicity still. Felicity turns the bees off. Boom, drop the mike! LOL. Barry restrains Bree.
A bee is still loose. Cisco gets stung saving Caitlin and Ray. Barry on his way. He vibrates his hands to charge Cisco. He's okay. Ray thanks him. You're welcome. Barry says Cisco, you're a hero, man.
Barry at the precinct. Dr. McGee comes and apologizes. I should've listened to your warning. Barry understands why she was hesitant to trust them. He asks about the tension between her and Dr. Wells. She says 15 years ago, we were thick as thieves, then everything changed after Tess died. After that day, he became a completely different person. Good day. Joe comes in. Cisco will be fine. Sad that Ray is leaving. That was a brave thing he did.
Ray and Felicity get coffee. He tells Barry the solution to the suit is to go smaller. Barry thanks her for the advice. She says she won't even charge him the 5 cents. LOL.
Iris goes to Eddie. I spoke to Barry last night. He helped me understand. What'd he say? A good explanation. She says it doesn't matter, though. If you love me, you'll tell me, or.....or you know what. She leaves.
Cisco and Caitlin ready for karaoke. Barry called them to his lab. This is everything we know about my mother's murder and Reverse Flash. And this is everything we know about Dr. Wells. Caitlin doesn't understand. Barry says they're the same person. She says that's impossible. Barry says it's him. She says he's paralyzed. Is he, though? And why would he kill Barry's mother? Cisco says I've been having dreams, but they don't feel like dreams. They feel real. Dr. Wells is the Reverse Flash and he kills me.
Next ep - the truth will change everything.
