THE CHASE CONTINUES – Lucifer’s search for power and influence in a vessel lands him in the White House. The President of The United States (guest star David Chisum) unknowingly makes a deal with the devil, leading Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), Castiel (Misha Collins), Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard), and Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) to band together to fight the Dark Lord. Directed by Phil Sgriccia the episode was written by Eugenie Ross-Leming and Brad Buckner (1208). Church. Or monastery? TV news on. Wallace Parker dead, a billionaire. Cardinal tells a priest to turn off the TV. Parker was a friend and donor. Crosses turn upside-down. Cardinal's eyes glow red. Lucifer's latest vessel.
Dean and Sam in a hospital. Cas and Crowley with the body in the morgue. Burned out eyes. Wallace Parker. Lucifer's previous vessel. Crowley says he's moving on to blue chips. He got a lot more dangerous. Cas agrees with Agent Zappa.
Archbishop is no longer wearing his cross. And his office canceled all appearances without comment.
Archdiocese of St. Louis. Raining. Sam and Dean find it quiet. Doorbell doesn't work. They knock. Break in. Lights don't work. Place is a mess. They find a man down. Priest severely hurt. Senior staff tried to do an exorcism here. Sam and Dean keep looking. Dean nun. Upstairs. Dead priest. More upside-down crosses. Another dead. The archbishop's eyes burned out.
Man praying. He agrees to accept your guidance. Lucifer takes a new vessel. Who is the man? Lucifer looks at his new face. Jeff and Lucifer talk. Aide hears him talking to himself. Jeff is President! Lucifer brings the Secret Service man close and kills him.
Dead man is wheeled out. President tells the staff a story. Jeff prays to God every morning. The staff bows to pray. Lucifer fumbles his way through it while his hand burns with the Bible in it.
Cas looks at photos of the scene. Sam says the church had tried to do an exorcism. Where now? Dean suggests a Nobel Peace Prize winner.
Lucifer in a staff meeting. He suggests nuking someone. Delayed laughter. New poll numbers say he's the most popular president in modern history. Staff woman is also Jeff's lover. She cuddles in the afterglow. It's exciting keeping this a secret, but she wishes they could go public. People might not like it. He's a widower. You've been lonely since Louise died, but your feelings for me are real because everything you do is real. Some day, we could be a real couple. Maybe the wedding thing, the baby thing. I just know you'd make an amazing father. Lucifer grins.
Crowley meets with a woman on the staff. She tells him about the unnatural death.
Dean says Crowley called with big news about Lucifer. Sam doesn't like that Dean powered down the warding. Crowley says not very charitable. He pulls up something on Sam's laptop. I know the identity of Lucifer's latest vessel. I give you Jefferson Rooney, President of these United States.
Lucifer asked to talk to Rick about something confidential. Two unstable individuals want to assassinate me. They think I'm Satan in the flesh. Best to eliminate the threat. Handle this in the family, Secret Service only. You will handle this personally. I like this job. I want to keep it a while.
Sam tries calling Mick Davies, but hangs up without leaving a message. Dean says the president is at the Forester Estate in Indianapolis. Plan B? Dean says he's got 3 events a day. Sam says plan C?
Rowena's boyfriend has a second girl. He had her investigated. He was scamming her. Crowley shows up. And kills the guy. Blows him up on her. She says that's the sweetest thing you've ever done for me! LOL.
Lucifer in bed with the staffer girl. She says tonight felt different. You were great as always, but somehow, it feels like something's changed. He kisses her. Holds her. He says maybe something has.
Cas gets the shakes and drops coffee. Clutches his head. Angel radio, so many voices. A massive surge.....a nephilim is coming to be. Lucifer.... Dean says I didn't know he was dating. LOL.
Sam tells Crowley to find out if there's a favorite girl from his mole. Sirens behind the Impala. Dean pulls over and it goes past and stops. Dean and Sam get out. They show FBI badges to the Secret Service, who identify them as the Winchesters. Fight! Cas gets out of the car. Music playing from a car that stops. Grenade launcher! So much for the Secret Service SUV. Angel, wipe their memories. Someone special wants you. Dean asks who the hell are you? Arthur Catch, British Men of Letters.
His instructions are to strongly encourage a yes. Sam called. Sam says I hung up. yes, which made Mr. Davies think you were in trouble and he called me. You're welcome. Dean doesn't believe him. Arthur asks Cas if he's lying? Cas says no, but the truth can be situational. Arthur understands the hesitation. We understand things are different here. We can offer expertise, weapons, skills. Dean asks was that a grenade launcher? Quite. Arthue says we don't always decapitate vampires. We irradiate them. Their own blood becomes lethal to them. The toys are the fun part. Exorcisms are unreliable. This device forces a demon from the vessel. Sam wonders about a possessing angel?
They've got a new tool. Sam says we need to get the secret girlfriend. Only one of us has a chance of getting in there. Crowley says bollocks.
He appears to Kelly. Takes her away. To the boys. Witch, angel, King of Hell. Oh God... actually, he left. Sam says tell me Jeff hasn't been acting different. Trying to convince her Lucifer is in Jeff. Rowena says we know you're pregnant. Cas says the thing inside you is an abomination. Place your hand on the Bible. It burns. Literal fire on the book. Dean douses it with water. Asks does he know you're knocked up? Yes. Sam says Kelly, we need your help.
Lucifer wants to full pardon Charles Manson. Kelly calls him.
Motorcade heads out. Plains Motel. Secret Service goes in first and looks around. Only Kelly in the room. Dean holds the doors of the other room. Cas in a closet compels a man to go back to the car. Secret Service leave the room. Tell Lucifer that it's only Kelly in there. He goes to her. What's wrong? She says I can't have this baby. He attacks her. I have to insist. Eyes glow red. Sam activates the egg. It blasts power at Lucifer. Rowena now! Lucifer says this isn't over, Sam. Go to Hell! Rowena says more magic words and Lucifer leaves Jeff's body and goes downward. It's over. Cas checks Jeff. He's alive. He won't remember a thing. Kelly goes to him. Sam tells Cas to get her out of here. Dean closes the door. Crowley and Rowena had already disappeared. Dean says we got him. We got Lucifer.
**Ten minutes left. Is this the end of Lucifer? Is he back in the Cage for good? Some fans are tired of him.
SS get out of the car. Jeff waking up. They enter the motel. Tell the boys they're under arrest for attempted assassination. Boys put in an armored truck.
Cas and Kelly in a diner. Kelly goes to the restroom, then sneaks off into the kitchen and out the back. Cas goes to the door. Kelly? Knocks.
She gets in a car. Cas's phone rings. Kelly says I can't do it. I can feel it inside me. I'm its mother. Cas says it's not a baby, it's the spawn of Lucifer. She says it's my child and hangs up. Cas goes out back and she's gone.
Boys in chains.
Next ep - January 26. Gone 6 weeks. Boys in a place that doesn't officially exist. Show moves to 8pm for the first time ever.
