"The Devil Complex" - As Fitz and Simmons race to find a way to seal the Rift, they are faced with one of their greatest fears manifested, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," FRIDAY, MARCH 23 (9:01-10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

Episode 14:
Astronaut appears.
Fitz wants proper British junk food. Simmons reminisces about the Academy. Fitz trying to compress the gravitonium. They ponder wishes. Like a honeymoon. Or flying, or a pony, or a flying pony. Astronaut suit grabs her. They fight with it until she shoots it away.
YoYo testing the cybernetic arm. 10% feedback to her nerves. Mack tells her it's enough for today. this arm is a prototype. We'll figure something out. In the meantime, he'll get the diagnostics to Fitz. She doesn't want bells and whistles. Just to punch things. He pushes that she needs to still heal. He'll protect her. Even from herself. That's what family does.
Fitz can't duplicate the gravitonium from Deke's belt. Deke staring in a trance. He doesn't know much about the stuff. Fitz says the rift could burst at any time. Daisy asks Simmons if she's alright. Jemma says the astronaut isn't her greatest fear. Fitz insists he'll figure something out. Deke tells them to be careful. And rambles. A lot. AWKWARD. Jemma thanks him. Daisy tells him to have faith. Or a Xanax. Deke wants them to last a long, long time. LOL. Daisy got a hit. Sending coordinates.
Hale being driven. She's on the phone. We're close. It drives onto the Zephyr then she's drugged asleep. Coulson and co caught her. Radio home, tell them we bagged us a general.
Deke tells Fitz they got General Hale. Fitz keeps welding. Deke offers to help. Then Fitz knocks him out. I'm the only doctor here. THE DOCTOR IN HIS FANCY SUIT.
Coulson meets with Hale. Want to sit down and talk, ask some questions. Why did you declare war on my people? She says bring you to justice. I'm simply doing my job. He asks if it's her job to cut the arms off one of his agents. Hale apologizes. Mentions Daisy. He says that wasn't Daisy.
Fitz can't find any notes of the research. Fitz says how is that possible? Daisy asks if he's okay. Have you slept? He wonders what he's missing. Cameras down 10 levels below. Fitz says we don't contain it soon, there won't be save levels in the whole base. She'll check it out. Tells him to take it easy. Fitz trying to think through the problem. Doctor says you're on the right track. Not quite there yet. Fitz falls out of his chair. You cannot be here. Doctor says there's work that needs to be finished here. He' here to do what Fitz isn't willing to do.
Mack and Simmons moving YoYo to another floor. She says you don't need to protect me.
Fitz says this isn't real. Doctor says like my world wasn't real. We both know better than that. I'm very real. I'll finish what you started. You and I are the same, aren't we? Fitz? So familiar. Fitz says I'll stop you. Doctor says you couldn't if you wanted to. Plans are in motion. A gunshot. Simmons calls for Fitz. He runs out. Doctor says we're not finished yet!
Hale says she's trying to save the planet. Coulson pushes for answers. She doesn't trust him. He says that's mutual. She doesn't lose sleep at night, she does what's necessary. I'm willing to point the trigger. Are you? Come with me. Let me show you what we're up against. He says no thank you. I don't like taking orders from backseat pilots. She let them hack her phone.
Piper says they couldn't lift the driver. Too heavy. It's a statue. Hasn't moved. What is it? May says get out of the car, Mr. Creel. He does. Takes off the helmet. Agent May. He says listen to what Hale has to say. She can be persuasive. He's rigged with explosives.
Quinjet reaches the Zephyr. Coulson says don't beat yourself up. It's on me. The Russian visits. Agent Coulson, so good to see you again.
Mack shot in the leg. How did the cyborg get put back together? The Doctor from the Framework. Leopold. He's here.
You didn't think you'd seen the last of me, did you? I don't squash so easily these days. Parts of me will always be human. But now he's immortal. Humanity still stands threatened. Bring Hale to me or Creel will blow this plane out of the sky.
Fitz apologizing. Simmons says this isn't your greatest fear. He's you, so think. Fitz doesn't know. She tells him to try. This is our only lead. He says he said he wanted to do what I wouldn't do. Leopold was in charge of Inhuman experimentation, too. He'll be after Daisy.
Daisy checks a camera. What the hell? Wild goose 1, Daisy Johnson 0. He's grabbed, choked out, and carried off.
Hale and Creel join the Russian. Coulson pushes the truth and Hale wants proof. She wants Coulson to come. May says he's not going anywhere. Coulson says I go with you, my people go unharmed. May pulls him aside. It's a trap. He says a really good one, too. They argue. May tells them he's all yours.
Daisy wakes. Come on, Agent Johnson. That's not how you address a Hydra superior.
**Makes sense this is Jemma's greatest fear, that darkness. She never knew or thought Fitz could be capable of all that under any circumstances. They didn't get time before to deal with the Framework repercussions. Time for a deep talk.
What's going on? Doctor has drugged her. Secured her head. Where's the real Fitz? He says you're looking at him. She asks if this is payback? He says my Inhuman work took threats off the streets and deepened our understanding of their powers. I help people. He takes the implant out of her.
Russian wants to scan Coulson's hand for weapons. Coulson tells Creel that Hale is selling crap. Then picks at the Russian. I think without AIDA, you can no longer make LMDs, which is why there's no LMD Hale. Doesn't think the Russian is calling the shots. Hale must have your balls in a vise. She says actually, his head in a jar.
Daisy pleads him to not do this. He says this rift could destroy the world. Your powers could save it. You are what's needed to compress the gravitonium and seal the rift for good. Fitz runs in. What are you doing to her? What needs to be done.
YoYo tells Mack to sit and take weight off that leg. Nothing will happen to me. Think about it. You know I make it to the Lighthouse. He says the future isn't guaranteed. I could still lose you. What then? She says we'll have broken the loop. Simmons comes in. Stay with her.
Fitz calls the Doctor a monster. Doctor told the robot to keep the others at bay so I could remove Daisy's inhibitor. She's the key to the gravitonium. You know I'm right. Fitz falling apart. Doctor calls him weak. Finish what we started. Simmons runs in. There's no Doctor here. Put the scalpel down. Fitz? What? It's not me. It's him. He was right here. He was right..... He sees the scalpel in his hand. Simmons says it wasn't an anomaly. It was you. Programming the robots. Keeping others occupied. Daisy.....all part of his plan. Of my plan. She tells him to look at her. We can work this out. Let Daisy go. He says no. There's no turning back. Planned for that, too. Robot comes in with Deke and a gun. I wouldn't have done any of this if I didn't believe it'd work. Science is sound. Always risks involved. You know that, Jemma. She says you're right, but there are 2 massive risks, Fitz. He says let's hope that doesn't happen. Daisy begs him. He doesn't want to, but he has to. He's removing the implant. The room is shaking.
Daisy will never forgive him. He says you're not the only one. He pricks her with a needle. Adrenalin will jumpstart your powers. Here's what you need to do.
Compress the gravitonium as much as possible and insert it into the sphere. The robot deactivates. Fitz kneels with his hands behind his head.
Sphere goes to the rift. And the ball seals shut.
Fitz twists his ring. Simmons asks how long he's been seeing the Doctor. He says a while, since we left the Framework. She says it's your injury acting up. You used to see me. He says you were my conscience. She says what was he? He doesn't answer. She says it's not you. He says no, it is. Not an apparition. Not a doppelganger. it. Was. Me. How are Daisy and Mack? She says come talk to them. He says I don't deserve forgiveness. Mack's injured, Daisy's traumatized, and I still think it was the right thing to do. She says then you're right. If we're going to change the timeline, we have to make harder choices. He asks what does that make us? She doesn't know. He doesn't know where they go from here. He sits on a bunk and she walks away.
Deke finds her crying in a hallway. He doesn't know what to say. She says that's a first. Then apologizes. I don't know how to process it. He's losing himself and I feel like I'm losing him, too. He sits with her. You haven't lost him. You know him better than he knows himself. He's complicated and stubborn. That's why you let him win arguments. he can be a baby when he's sick. Always has the weight of the world on his shoulders. And he loves the sandwiches no one can make right except you. She asks how he could know those things? He says my mom talked about her parents all the time. Said her dad was the best man she ever knew. I know you can help Fitz and I know you two will be okay. Because the steps you take don't need to be big. They just need to take you in the right direction. You're our grandson. She throws up.
**I'm not crying, you're crying.
Hale enters. Apologies for the delay. He says if you want a seat at the table, prove you deserve it. She thinks all is in place. He says there's a tradition in the Confederacy. If you fail, drink the Odiom. I hope fortune turns your way. And of course, Hail Hydra.
Next ep - Alien invasion coming. An unholy alliance. Time for SHIELD and HYDRA to unite.
