8PM and baseball is still on KTLA. Dammit! 9th inning isn't done at 8:02. 8:04. 8:07. 8:10. Finally starting at 8:16!

Hunters gathered at the bunker. Pictures and mementos of Mary on the table. Dean thanks them all for coming. We gave her a hunter's send off a few days ago. We lost our mom once before but we got a second chance with her. We got to know her as someone tough, strong, stubborn as hell. LOL. Someone with opinions and wasn't afraid to say them. She could handle anything. She couldn't cook worth a damn. LOL. Mom, you weren't here long enough but we're so glad for the time we had. Goodbye, Mom. Hunter takes an ax to the brain! Bobby's home. What the hell?

The body is dragged away. Make sure I get my hatchet back. Damn wraith. Knew him from a nest he and Mary broke up at their last hunt. Cas says Mary would've appreciated it. Bobby asks Sam how he is? It's tough. And the other one? Sam says Dean is okay. Hard to say. Bobby says being teary in public is not my style. Sam suggests opening the scotch. Hang out, talk about Mom. Dean says isn't that what we been doing?

Bobby looks at the photo of Sam and Dean as little kids with Mary. Dean is going out. Sam says we have to talk about Jack. Dean says we will and leaves. Bobby says I liked the kid, but there's only one way this ends. Cas says we have to help him. Bobby says you know what's left if his human side is gone. Lucifer. He's going to find that boy. An unstoppable monster that don't know right from wrong gets put down or as close as we can get to it. Anyone that don't know that needs to go back to school.

Jack remembering Mary's last moments. I wish you were here. I need you to tell me what to do. Jack still seeing Lucifer/Nick. I'm real. I'm locked in your head and your heart forever. Jack doesn't want to listen. Lucifer keeps pushing. You never meant anything to them. Jack says I'll explain. It was an accident. I tried to bring her back. They've made mistakes, too. Lucifer says they hate you. You're all you've got. And me. Especially me.

Dark woods. Dean crying. Grieving alone.

**Actually got to the new content at 8:17, so that complicates the rest of the night's viewing. Oy. Will everything be 16 minutes behind now? Never had the late for baseball thing before here.

Heaven. Cas needs to see Naomi. He's told she's unavailable. Heaven needs a leader. And Naomi? She's in a very small cell. Cas needs her help to find an archangel. It's the nephilim. Jack has grown dangerously powerful. He inherited his mother's decency, but that was before he burned through his soul to save me and others. What about the Winchesters? Jack is on the run. He's fearful of their fury. I'm hopeful he can be rehabilitated with patience and guidance.

Dean returns. Sam's trying to find Jack. Before Bobby and his crew find him. Sam can't stop thinking about Mom. Can't stop thinking.....most people, it's hope and faith, right? But we know God is real and angels are, too. They're real, right? Mom's in a good place, a great place, she's with Dad. Dean says there wasn't enough left of her to even try to bring her back.

Jack gets a visit from the angel. We met in Heaven. She came to tell him something important. It wasn't your fault, what happened with Mary. Winchester. It was a mistake. Heaven knows. Your mother knew you have a glorious destiny. Look at the world around you, Jack. There was a time the Earth had moral order. When God left, it all fell apart. You can change that. You can save others, even Heaven itself. You can make the world so much better. Think how happy that'd make Sam and Dean.

Jack visits Dr. Tate with the angel. He's an atheist. She says that was called heresy. Jack says there is a Heaven. I've been there. You saw God? No. But he is my grandfather. And your father? Lucifer. She tells Tate to get redemption by telling his considerable audience that there is a Heaven and God is good. He refuses. So Jack turns him into a salt version of himself.

**Once again, we have manipulative angels. Sigh.

Sam, Cas, and Dean talk about what Heaven said. It serves Heaven to help find Jack. Sam talks about the professor in Ohio. Pillar of salt like Lot's wife. A lady in Texas fell into a crevice. A fissure under her swallowed her up. Numbers 26:10. TV evangelist who stole money through fake charities.

She congratulates Jack. Now, here's the real test. We need more angels. You can't make them out of thin air. But maybe you can take a human soul and forge them into one of us. What do you say? She takes him to God's prayer room. Focus, make yourself still, and you'll hear. Jack does so. Lots of human thoughts and voices. Jack hears a woman.

She's praying in front of a small group. Amen. I sure hope everyone did the reading last week. Their pastor is coming to discuss the Book of Samuel. Jack arrives. She invites him to take a seat. He asks if they meant it when they said they wanted to become human. And you don't mind becoming angels. She says that'd be a dream. Jack says it doesn't have to be a dream. His eyes glow and there's thunder and lightning. Then his body glows and we see his wings. Who are you? He says come with me to Heaven. Pastor arrives. Jack says I was just taking your friends to become angels. Would you like to join them? The pastor says it's not even possible. I don't believe you. Shelly? Jack tells him to please don't interfere with Heaven's work. The pastor says get out. Jack has him eaten by worms to breathe his last. Then disappears with the humans.

Sam, Dean, and Cas come to the hospital to talk to Pastor Ames. He's alive, but covered in bandages. You'll think I'm crazy. Dean asks did he say where he was taking them? To Heaven, to become angels. Sam shows a photo of Jack. Pastor tells them what happened next. He said he was carrying out Heaven's orders and that I wasn't a believer. They leave the room. Cas recites another verse.

Another worm comes out of the pastor's mouth.

Dean says we don't have a choice. Stopping Jack once and for all. The box. Sam says are we seriously talking about locking Jack in this?? Dean says it's warded to lock down an archangel. He goes in here, it has to be his choice. He might if he has to stay long enough for a spell to fix his soul. Sam says there is no spell. Dean says he doesn't know that. Look, we both have to sign off on this. Sam says how will he not know something's up? Dean says you have to do this. You're his guy. You've always been in his corner. You will be so damn sincere. Call him and he'll show up. I can't, after Mom. If I call, I'll probably lose him. I will lose him.

Homeless man warming his hands. Cas comes to the angel. Open the portal. He says Heaven is closed to you. Orders. Aramael, I am going to Heaven.

Jack giving power to each of the humans. Aramael walks in. Cas tosses him aside. She says good news, I found Jack. Jack says look, I'm making angels. Cas asks Duma for a word. Now.

Sam doesn't think this will work. Dean says one way to find out. Sam prays to Jack. Bad things happened, but we're your family. Bad things happen in families, but we want to talk to you. That's how we all move forward.

Cas accuses Duma of using Jack. You're establishing a reign of terror, stripping Heaven of its mercy. She says I'm saving Heaven, our kind, I'm saving the world.

Sam says we need to see you. Our mother would want it. Your mother would want it.

Cas says Jack is strong, but he's still a child, and without a soul to guide him.

Sam keep praying. Do you hear this? Jack says I do.

Duma theatens Mary and John, so Cas stabs her.
Then looks for Jack.

Jack appears to the boys. I heard and I was so glad. I didn't think I'd ever see you again. He tells them what he's been doing. But I really missed you guys. Dean says us, too. Right, Sammy? Tell Jack how we want to clear things up between us. Jack says I regret it. The accident. What happened to Mary. She kept talking about my soul and she kept pushing. I didn't want this no soul thing to become an issue and I guess I snapped. Before I knew it, it was all over. I wish it didn't happen. Dean says so do we. But we understand. We forgive you. For the accident. Sam says you'd like that? Jack would like things to go back the way they were. I knew you'd understand. Dean says if we told you we were close to fixing your soul and we just need to keep you safe, you'd be okay with that? Jack asks what do they mean? Dean says you could have another accident. Sam stutters through the explanation. Until we get you better. They take him to the box. Dean says there she is. It's kind of comfortable. It's warded so it keeps your powers below meltdown level. Jack says he understands. Okay. Um. Do I just? Dean says just hop on in. Sam nods. Jack sits in the coffin. Not bad. Dean says told ya. Jack asks how long before I can come out? Sam says not long. Jack, we got this. Jack says okay. Lays down. Dean closes the lid. Starts locking it. Gets them all locked. Sam is not pleased with this plan.

**Manipulating the child is not cool no matter what his status is. Jack trusted them and doesn't have enough soul left or life experience for discernment in this situation. He's still innocent because none of this is directly his fault. He's a two year old with adult linguistic skills.

Jack asks if they're still there. He uses his phone to light it. Sam?

Sam hears from the other side of the door. Dean, too. Jack asking are you still there?

Sam asks what do we do now? Go on with Jack locked up in there forever? Dean says we have to. They're drinking Ketch's scotch. Sam didn't think Jack would ever end like this. Dean says we knew it was a long shot with him. Sam says long shots are our thing.

Jack is afraid. I don't think I like this. Lucifer says you got played. Winchesters still got game. If they trusted you, why did they lock you up. You, my friend, are screwed.

Cas tells them Duma was manipulating Jack into doing those things to please you. They tell Cas that Jack is in the box. Dean says and that's where he's going to stay.

Lucifer pushes Jack about details. Jack doesn't know. Lucifer says you're naive, clueless, trusting. You're no longer useful to them and you killed their mother. This is it for the rest of time. Jack tries to break out of the box. Lucifer laughs. Is that is? You have to do way better than that, buddy.

Cas and Dean argue about this. Cas says you are manipulating him.

Bring it. Jack tries to break out. And the wards are glowing. Burning. Lucifer laughing in glee.

Dean says this is our only play. The building shakes. Alarms sound. They run to the room. Jack broke out. He walks out of the smoke toward them with glowing eyes. Sam says Jack's name.

Next week - finale. Dean says he wanted Jack dead. He's pointing a gun at Jack. Jack kneeling on the ground. Says I understand.
