Episode 3:
Man assembling a weapon. Bios go by on a screen. Then there's Enoch and Fitz. The hunter transports.
Naro-Atzia. Zephyr arrives. Davis and Piper want Simmons confined. Daisy says I'm the mission leader and this wasn't your call. We can't save Fitz if we can't save ourselves. Simmons wants to stay behind. Daisy denies permission. She'll confine Simmons if she has to. Simmons says try it. They have been docked and the customs officer says they need to prepare to be bordered. Daisy tells him they're not staying. But he won't let them go. Once you're in the system you're in the system. These are the rules. Simmons wants to ask if Fitz docked here, too.
Fitz and Enoch ship. They still need to purchase a new cryo chamber. Men say you're heroes. Enoch saves Fitz from eating something that doesn't work for Terran consumption. They're trying to sell the snails. But it's a double cross. And now they have to leave. Take the snails and leave the ship. But the man gives him a chip. Maybe your luck will take an upswing.
Enoch and Fitz enter the place. Enoch was designed to mimic human biological function. He can fool any scanner. Enoch says their journey has been informative and stimulating. Are you trying to say you're having fun? Enoch says you've become my best friend. Do you feel the same? Fitz feels like a snail. We need money to get off this planet and all we have is one lousy chip.
They enter a casino. Not exactly Monte Carlo. Enoch says one chip may be all we need. He's versed in many games of chance.
Customs officer says surrender your weapons. They'll be returned upon satisfactory completion of inspection. Planet? Purpose on this planet? Simmons says Fitz's name. Officer says you shouldn't have said that name. He's here, listening. The hunter shoots Daisy and she falls instantly unconscious.
**Good grief, Jemma, you're operating with zero savvy despite all the years of training and experience. It's like you've lost all your sense in your desperation to find Fitz. She's so emotionally compromised she's going to get everyone killed. Davis and Piper have a point.
Officer trying to subdue the situation. Jemma goes for a fun. Davis knocks out the hunter.
Fitz doesn't know what game gives them the best chance. Enoch orders 2 drinks. Fitz asks how does he expect to pay for them? Enoch places the chip and they win. How did you do that? Enoch did math. Fitz says you can win us the money. Think about it. Breaking the rules. Put it all on the line. Enoch is aware of when best friends break the rules. Even murder. Fitz says stick to gambling.
Fitz is wanted for tampering with the universe. Hunter says he was scheduled to arrive on the next incoming vessel. Leopold Fitz should not be here. Simmons says he should be with us, back on Earth. The hunter says he died. You and your friends are out of time.
Fitz and Enoch discuss choosing a table and having a poker face. Enoch is friendly at the table. Fitz says no need for conversation. Enoch starts to play.
They find out the ship went to Kitson. Officer says it's a nasty place absent of basic decency. What happens on the planet of Kitson is contagious and burns.
Enoch wins again. Guy next to him is very chatty and friendly. Fitz tells Enoch he's not our friend. Enoch goes all in. The chatty guy plays, too. Player 4 wins. Enoch asks if his statement was intentionally false. Yep. You're great at cards but dumb as rocks when it comes to people. Thanks for playing, buddy.
**And that's why androids, etc. can't be allowed to gamble. They're too binary.
Someone trying to contact the snail ship. Noises. Something is coming. Door blows off. It's Daisy and team. Who the hell are you? Simmons says we're looking for this man. Daisy hurts him with her Quake powers. They're outlaws. We took the ship and let them go because we're nice. That Fitz guy and the creepy bald dude. Davis ate the food! And the rest do, too. Simmons asks where did they go? On the planet, either the casinos or the brothels.
Fitz and Enoch talk about bluffing. Enoch says there are other ways to earn money. The brothels of Kitson. Fitz says not an option. Enoch suggests a game with mathematical odds. The stakes are very high. How high?
Fitz is checked over. You earned a very good price. Fitz is collateral. He'll be sold into slavery if he loses. Fitz tells Enoch to play. Enoch will read the tiles and tell Fitz what to do with a tone only humans can hear. And make sure you don't get a 14.
Daisy and Simmons. Better dead than in the brothels, lol. They're hallucinating at the entrance to the casino. Are you feeling okay? Are you? I'm tripping. Adverse reaction to something. Our bodies will adjust. Heh. They see colors. So....pretty..... They can barely get down the stairs. The little puffies that we ate. They get the giggles. I hope he's okay.
Piper asks Davis what's wrong with you? I ate the yummies. Who else had them? Daisy, Simmons, all those giraffes. She tells him to stay. Do not move.
Simmons and Daisy reach the bar. Why are we here? Because we're on a mission. Right. What is the mission? The mission is....ladies night! Remember when we first met? Yeah. You lived in a van and it really smelled. You had big hair. You had big nerd face. Do you know any spells? Jemma sees monkey Fitz on the end of her straw. Daisy feels a strong connection to Simmons. And now it's not Jemma next to her. It's the gambler. Your ship or mine?
Davis is a secret agent in space. I'm supposed to be watching..... Hunter gets out of the cuffs.
Piper discovers the hunter is gone and Davis is out. She shakes him. He has animal crackers.
Daisy still intoxicated. Everyone around me smelled like cheese. Then I noticed a dainty pair of feet. Simmons under a table. She's missing her jacket and shoes. They're sentimental now. Jemma crying. I'm so proud of you! They love each other. You're my best friend! Shhhh, do you hear that? Almost like a dolphin.
Enoch signaling Fitz. 25. Well played, sir. Man next to him hits. Then a drill comes out and he's killed. Never hit on 4. Five players remain as we begin round six. Place your wagers. Enoch shuts off! And it's Fitz's turn. To hit or to fold......that is the question..... Enoch falls and there's a siren. Fitz holds his ears. Mr. Kitson will want to deal with them personally.
Piper confronts the hunter. He teleports away. Davis shot the fuse box. But where did he go? Who was he trying to contact?
Jemma and Daisy's ears hurt. Maybe it's only perceptible to humans. Like a signal.....
Fitz turns Enoch back on. Enoch isn't comfortable with this level of intimacy. Fitz said he had to turn off the air raid siren. Enoch says whoops. That siren comes from him having a remote override. By another chronocom. They're built for various functions. He's an anthropologist. Other chronocoms are hunters.
The casino is invaded.
Hunters in the game room. Daisy and Simmons crawl on the floor back to the bar. Do those guys look like the guy we have tied up on the Zephyr? I see them too. Daisy tries to quake at them and misses.
Enoch is depressed. The dead alien is 75% sulphur.
Daisy tells Simmons to go. I got it from here. If I can't quake it I'll break it. She fights with two guys.
Enoch says I'm nothing. Why do I exist? Fitz needs Enoch is spark up. Enoch says we'll all soon be dust and rust. Fitz says you're my best friend. That's your pose. I'm not bluffing. You're a massive pain in the ass but you've grown on me. So yeah. You are my best friend. Enoch will do anything for his best friend.
Simmons says I believe my husband, my future husband, is behind that door. Why do you think that? She tells him about the dolphin noise and monkeys. He says you need to lay off the puffs. Is it that obvious? You've been under that gaming table for 20 minutes. LOL. Oh, I'm losing my mind.
Quake got the hunters down.
Enoch at work.
Guard tells Simmons to go home. This isn't a place for a nice girl like you. The door blows. It's Fitz! Jemma? Then the hunter grabs Fitz and teleports away. Enoch walks out. Jemma Simmons, you should not be here.
**So close, still so far.
Sarge and the giant. Nice stars here. Seen better. Seen worse. Sarge fires up the gun. Fires a beam into the sky. Well? Seen better. Seen worse. Let's go make a mess.
Next ep - They're looking for something. Sarge finds Deke! I've been hunting your kind all my life. We'll always find you.
