Episode 5:

70s graphic this time. Opening credits! Very cool.

NYC. Coulson and May in the city. He's grooving on the 70s. She's still missing her own emotions.

Daisy dressed at Ziff's Clothing. Sousa inside. He comes out in his 3 piece suit still. Doesn't like bell bottoms. Daisy calls him a square. Daniel notices no one looks you in the eye now. He's wondering how time works. Daisy says your brains will spill out. Sousa's going to embrace the 70s. Starting now. LOL. The hideout is still running. Only the top brass knew about it back then. Coulson geeking out. Daisy says okay, Dad, let's not keep Enoch waiting any longer. They enter the code and come into the bar. It always evolves with the times. And it's full. Hmm.

Jemma running a scan. Rubbing the back of her neck. Deke ordered by Mack to do combat training. Freddy Malick died 3 years ago. He asks if she's heard from Fitz. No. But she couldn't disclose even if she had. Deke still worries about them not making his mom and then he won't be born. She wants to get back to work. He says bye, Nana. She has a glowing thing in her neck!

Down a ladder. YoYo and Mack. In the Lighthouse? SHIELD abandoned the place in 72. Mack likes the simple pleasures in life. Recon isn't the only reason we're here. We left the plane and that constitutes a date night. She worries about running into trouble. He still calls her YoYo because she always bounces back. Hot coffee in a mug! Someone here. They retrieve the mug.

May gets a drink from the bar. Picking up the emotions. And enjoying herself. No Enoch. May is drunk. Sits with Daisy. May talked to the staff and they haven't seen Enoch in over a year. May getting back under control.

Daniel wishes to know what SHIELD is celebrating. Little Ricky? General Rick Stoner. Sousa remembers when he was an enlistee. Couldn't tell a mag from a clip. LOL. Stoner addresses the crowd. His boss and friend, Wilfred Malick! Oh no. Malick says they have targeting satellites and laser pinpointing technology. HYDRA is 40 years ahead of schedule! Project Insight.

**Damn Chronicoms! But Malick still being alive explains why Enoch wouldn't be in the bar any longer. He's either been destroyed by the Chronicoms or he had to lay low. Maybe he's why the Lighthouse has an occupant. Or.....HYDRA is.

New 8 track song. Coulson and Daniel staying back. Most SHIELD still not HYDRA. Sousa says a trout in the milk. Circumstantial evidence. Timeline is broken. Daniel says maybe you should've left me, could've stopped HYDRA back then. Coulson says keep a low profile. You're famous with SHIELD agents. Sousa will stay off the radar.

May asks Stoner to buy her a drink. She introduces herself as Agent McBride. Flirts with him. He'd enjoy working with her. From a professional standpoint. She asks how close Insight is to completion. 3 years away. 1976 will be a new birth for freedom.

Daisy meets Gideon and Nathaniel Malick. Gideon says he's earned his spot. Wilfred has been locked in his office all day lately. Daisy wants to leave and Gideon doesn't. Sousa comes and saves her. Fiance. Nathaniel was supposed to die in 1970.

Coulson calls Jemma with the SHIELD phone. Updates her. She wants to search for Enoch. Coulson says Insight is our priority. Deke thinks he should've taken Malick out. She says there's still time. Deke says who knows what he's gotten into with 3 extra years.

Lighthouse is an active base. Powered. YoYo says based on Bond movies, this is always a bad deal. There's a big tower of something in there!

Daisy and Daniel check out the office. And the secret room. Computer. Malick's new base. She starts looking. Daniel steals a gun. She looks at targets for Insight. Bruce Banner among them. He's just a kid right now but in a few decades he becomes an Avenger. Daniel thinks they made the timeline worse than before. There's only one way HYDRA could get names from the future.

Malick thanks Coulson for coming in tonight. Asks for his name. Coulson says he's Patrick. From Processing. Systems Analysis. Malick asks about River''s End. Chronicoms surround Coulson and May! Malick says did you really think I wouldn't remember you?

**Guys, you were lacking spy sneakiness today. Needed to be more careful once they saw Malick here.

**Love all the continuing greatest hits of the past seasons.

Daisy and Daniel. What's our play?

Surrender now and we'll go easy on the rest of you. Coulson says let us go and the kid walks. Daisy has Nathaniel. Chronicom says this ends now. Malick has them stand down. They take Nathaniel to get out the door. Chronicoms follow.

Sousa's not thrilled. Daisy uses her power to get away from the Chronicoms. Nathaniel witnessed.

Enoch speeds in. Come with me if you want to continue to exist! They get in the car. Now buckle up. Coulson calls it a sweet ride. Enoch says Consumer Reports gave it a 5 star safety rating and fuel economy is best in class. LOL.

Back on the Zephyr. They all confer with the intel. Bruce Banner, Nick Fury, Peggy Carter are targets. Sousa gets their attention. The timer is wigging out. We're about to jump. Something's messed with the algorithm. Chronicoms are changing plans. YoYo runs to .... but there's nothing she could've done. She asks How far did we jump?

The Bicentennial. Stoner told Project Insight is ready to launch. Satellite on the pad in the Lighthouse.

**Friggin nasty to launch a Nazi weapon on America's 200th birthday. HYDRA is classically evil. Tenty minutes left.

Sousa asking Daisy how the hell they jumped 3 more years. She says we can't control it.

Jemma tells Enoch she's slipping. She keeps forgetting. Getting confused. She's afraid to tel the others. He draws her away. And Sousa confronts them about the jump. Explain it to me, I'm a big boy. Nobody understand the time drive. That's by design. Deke intercedes. We were all taken out of our lives for this. Mack comes in and organizes them. We stop that satellite. We're going to flood the place. Fill it with lake water. Need the base empty. Mack tells Daisy to get a surveillance feed. Sousa's going out to work the problem, too. They need to remove Malick from the timeline. Mack tells Deke to find him and bring him in.

Malick's house in River's End. Chronicom is back. We need to talk about your transgression in New York. You taught us a lesson about human behavior that day. You would've thrown away victory for one life. My son. I had no choice. Chronicom says SHIELD will find you here and when they do, you will have leverage. We want SHIELD to reveal their position. You will deliver this message.

Sousa has Daisy's back. She's tapping in. Firewall detected. He says this is my last stop. She says this is just a setback. My software will crack it. She shows him a cellphone. And his photo on it. He's amazed by the zoom feature. Poor guy is missing normal life. She's sorry. But without us, it's way worse. Daniel wishes he could've said some goodbyes.

Got eyes in the base. Coulson, May, clear for entry.

Blue jumpsuits. May says we're at the first checkpoint. Coulson says we were good agents together regardless of what came later. She wonders if she'll feel anything of her own again.

Daisy works on unlocking the next spot. Asks Sousa to help with a panel. He stops watching the alley. Nathaniel shoots them both with a Chronicom rifle! They told me it'd be you. So happy you came back into my life.

**15 minutes left. ARGH. Chronicoms know too damn much! And time travel is so hard to do without making changes.

**Is Jemma's neck implant protecting her and them? Or is it a threat? She and Enoch have secrets. Where is Fitz and what is he doing all this time away? How many episodes will he miss?

Quinjet lands at Malick's house. Why are they not cloaked?

At second checkpoint. No Daisy response.

Deke and YoYo bust in on Malick. We have a fine view of the launch. He says you have no idea what you're up against.

Mack says we're less than 5 minutes from launch. Enoch asks if there's another way to bypass the security gates.

May finds Stoner. Coulson says you cannot launch that satellite. Tells him about SHIELD and the synthetic organisms. May punches Stoner. Gets his card. 3 minutes to launch.

Launch pad revealed in the lake.

Malick says things are only going to get messier. We have something you desperately want. The dominoes are falling. Chronicoms let you think you had a fighting chance. They were always 10 steps ahead. Even if you figure out what's going on, there's nothing you can do. They see everything. Deke shoots Malick in the heart. YoYo looks at the envelope.

Set the charges. Mack, we're ready to detonate on your signal.

Mack? Mack? Prisoners in a cell. His parents! If they flood the base, they'll drown. Insight.... We can't let it launch. Mack tells them to abort the mission.

May and Coulson hear Mack yell to abort. Launch counts down. Security finds them.

Rocket lifts off.

Mack tells them to arm the missiles. Enoch takes the stick. Zephyr will shoot Insight instead. Target lock. Mack shoots. Rocket explodes. Direct hit. But they just gave up their position.

**The thing about position and a moving target is that it doesn't stay in position. The Zephyr is cloaked, so that helps, too. Fly and keep flying and you can lose tracking. But they'll have to leave the agents behind until the plane is safe. Granted, they're in custody right now, so no quick way to get them back to the Zephyr, anyway. 2 minutes left and our team looks pretty screwed.

**Only 5 episodes in and things don't look good. How will we win? Will Fitz come to the rescue again?

Nathaniel makes a call on a payphone. Calling for Daniel Whitehall. I want his detailed instructions. Written down. He had a theory about transferring enhanced abilities surgically. I want to find out if it works.

Next ep - Zephyr under attack. Wake the hunters. Taking agents and uploading them into Chronicom bodies. Coulson says dying is kind of my super power.
