Episode 9:

Drew Z. Greenberg, the writer, got his big break writing for Joss Whedon shows before Agents of SHIELD.

Daisy in the tube. Wakes. She gets out. Sousa asks what she's going up? He's sat with her since she went to sleep. She asks if they jumped again. Damage to all systems. Time drive overloaded. Daisy looks out the window. They're in some kind of wormhole? Where's Coulson? Charging. YoYo says the Quinjet is damaged. Deke says they're trapped in a time storm. A jump within a jump. They'll cease to have ever existed. They're 94 kilometers away. Mack gets hit and can't see. His face is burned!

Simmons! She looks in a drawer. Enoch offers help on the time drive. May sees a fire. Daisy grabs an extinguisher. Fire's out. Time drive revs up.

Daisy wakes in the tube again. Sousa says hey, what are you doing up? She runs out of the room. The scene plays again. Daisy looks out the window again. Sousa was so much happier asleep. Daisy says something's happening to me. She saves Mack from the flare. YoYo trapped on the Quinjet.  Daisy goes to Simmons next.

Sousa follows. She tells Jemma she's time looping. Oh, that's fun. Sousa calls it creepy. Enoch comes in. Daisy fixes the Fire on the starboard side. I got it. Fire's out again, but

Daisy wakes in the tube. She tells Mack and May what to do and wakes Coulson. I need your help. He knows about the repeat. How long did it take you to figure it out this time?

**Ooo, picking up already in the loop. Nice. How many times has Coulson lived it, then? We think we saw Daisy in the start of her loop, but......

Coulson says if you forgot, you died again. We're the only two who remember. You have to learn everything all over again. 14 times so far! Been through the loop 87 that he knows about! You don't power me up every time! She wants to know why they are in the loops. He tells her, come wake me up this time, kay?

She goes to Coulson. Coulson says the time drive is stuck. Like a record skipping.

She's up and talking to Coulson. Coulson says they have to fix the drive. 90 loops.

And again. You haven't noticed the numbers. You really are behind.

Again. 79 kilometers from the drain. Each reset brings the Zephyr closer to destruction. So we solve faster. How?

Again. Daisy tells them they're repeating time. I know the future. Let's talk. 65 km away. Anything Fitz left behind? Deke says it's hard to access.

he goes to Simmons. Thinks without the implant she'll have the knowledge to fix this. Coulson hears them. Daisy says we don't have time for secrets. Arguing with Jemma. But they need to know what she knows. Daisy says the loop will reset and the implant will be back in place. Simmons agrees. Let's go before I change my mind. She's coughing and can't breathe. the doors are locked. She dies in the chamber.

Loop resets. Back to Simmons. Daisy's going in there this time. Jemma's coughing and Daisy, too. Gas! Daisy unlocks the door but they still die. Coulson says what a pain in the ass. Enoch finds a deliberate leak. Almost as if it's-- Murder. Yeah, we get it. Coulson walks away.

**Like he's been through this murder before? He did says they all died in previous versions. Who on the ship could be a murderer? As far as we know, it's only our crew and they have no reason to kill each other. They're family.

**Coulson is very sassy and snarky in this ep. Less of the optimist we used to know.

Daisy awake again. 48 km away. Mack burned.

Daisy awake again. Huh. I died? Again? Coulson wants to get back to the part of solving this again. 41 km away. Who is willing to kill to avoid unblocking the implant?

Someone's trying to kill for it. Deke, Enoch, or Simmons. It doesn't make logical sense, but someone did it. But they still need to remove the implant.

Mack doesn't believe it. Coulson says someone killed Simmons and Daisy. Watched them die. I don't want to do that anymore. Mack suggests using YoYo to get it done fast.

Coulson trying to get her out. It wasn't you, right? Doors open. Jumping.

Loop again. Daisy sees something new. We need to get the implant out. Sousa says it's a trap. Someone went through the drawer. If Sousa dies, he resets. She dies, she loses memories. So he tries it out and he's bleeding and dying.

She wakes up again. Sousa's asleep. Back to Coulson. He's asking why killing off our people isn't pissing her off. It should. I'm sorry. I don't like watching you die. I don't like seeing any of you die. it's soul crushing. If I even have a soul. She says of course you have a soul. He says don't say that. You don't know that. He says being stuck in a time anomaly is a metaphor for what he is now. He'll watch all of them die, one by one, everyone I love, because someone decided I should. I'm a machine now. Programming which won't even let me.... It's Enoch.

They go to them. Simmons and Enoch swear they wouldn't hurt any of them. Coulson says They could genuinely believe they're innocent but he doesn't believe they are. Simmons wouldn't remember and Enoch could be programmed to only act to protect the secret. Fitz and Simmons are protecting something big. It's possible you're programmed to not let anything jeopardize humanity, even our friendship. Enoch is tested and strangles Daisy. He's programmed to protect the implant at all costs. Even if he has to kill Jemma. Daisy tosses him off with her power. He lands. Oh, dear. LOL.

Daisy wakes. Sousa greets her. She asks why he cares? She has to do something and doesn't know how.

Back to Coulson. Go to Jemma. She needs to be awake. Enoch attacks them.

Daisy wakes Coulson. We forgot, Enoch goes to Simmons each time.

Sousa delays Sousa with questions about meal time. Enoch wants to know why he's kept.

Enoch arrives and attacks them.

They try to be direct with Enoch.

He did not see the irony. No. He did not.

Back to Enoch again. Jemma needs him to countermand the order. Password dependent.

Now the whole team stands against Enoch. It did not go well. Deke is very dead. Do we need to be upset about that?

Daisy wakes. Sousa asks how can I help? There's no time. Actually? I can take a loop. She sits. Nothing seems to faze you. He says it all does, just not my face. She wants to know why? Be honest. He knows her type. People like you. My favorite people are people like you. You like being alone even though you end up back with friends. You hate losing. Because when people like you run into walls, you should have someone to pick you back up. You like to be that someone? Not for everyone. It helps that she's her. She says that's awfully specific. So...what's this problem you're trying to crack?

Sousa talks to Jemma. Enoch follows him. They trap Enoch while Daisy will work on Simmons. You'll get by us. But it will take you a while.

Coulson says it took too long. Next time, same thing, but faster.

Daisy wakes. I need you to do something for me. She kisses him! That was nice. Now we need to trap a space robot.

Sousa gets Enoch to follow. Daisy tells Simmons we're 11 km from the vortex. Removing the implant. 2 minutes to get the answer. Deke asks if Jemma's okay? Enoch is the key. His energy stability mechanism. It's like removing a human being's heart. Taking it out will kill Enoch. Jemma's crying. She's remembering. What have I done? No!

Daisy wakes.

**Will we finally get an answer about Fitz with Jemma's memory back?? No one will say why Iain wasn't in most of the episodes of this season. When an actor is contracted, they have to get permission to not be involved unless they're not being written in.

**Killing Enoch would suck. He's grown on us.

Daisy tells them everything's going to be okay. Trust me. Simmons? I need you to meet me in the LMD lab. Bring Enoch. How far from the vortex? Less than 1 kilometer. She brings Deke, too.

Coulson awake. About to tell them. Daisy explains. Enoch understands. Deke says if it's something we can use in the time drive, I can figure it out. Simmons insists..... Enoch rips it out of himself. It's what needed to be done, apparently. You'll die. The rest of you will live. He'd like to think they'd do the same for him. Aww. Jemma takes it. She and Deke leave with tears. Enoch does not feel at all well. They ease him to the floor.

Deke works on the drive. It's a good fit. One more adjustment.

Mack tells them we can jump out of the storm at any minute. Coulson and Daisy staying with Enoch. Does it hurt? A bit. But it's not the physical pain that troubles him. For thousands of years, he's acutely aware he never used to feel lonely. But when I met this team of SHIELD agents, being alone felt lonely, and I don't care for it. So, I'm feeling some anxiety now. Coulson says you're not alone. We'll stay with you to the end. Enoch says that's very kind. But it's that end part. I'll have to leave you alone and I wonder when that happens, will I feel lonely? Coulson says you'll feel lonely in death, but it's temporary, at least for the one dying. It's the one advantage to going first. Enoch agrees. He's seen his friends go before him. It can be harder to stay than to leave. I'm sorry, Philip J. Coulson. Daisy thanks Enoch. He says she's most welcome. But while your friends will survive, the team will not. I have seen the future. this is your last mission together. Daisy says that's not possible. This is my family. He knows. But this is the nature of family. I've seen it on countless worlds. The cycle is always there. No one escapes it. Not even me. Coulson says you're not alone. You're part of that cycle. Enoch says Fitz.....he was my best friend. She says you were a good friend to Fitz, a good friend to all of us. He fades. Mack says over comm Jump successful, everybody. We're safe.

**Last mission as a team? What??

Nathaniel. Don't overthink it. Let the energy fill you up, then send it where you want to go. Your little sister is going to be so impressed.

Next ep - Facing Malick and his Inhumans. Jiaying says there's something familiar about Daisy's gift.
