MARVEL'S AGENT CARTER - “Smoke and Mirrors” - Agent Carter and the SSR learn there’s more than just a pretty face behind Hollywood star Whitney Frost, Peggy’s most dangerous foe yet, on “Marvel’s Agent Carter,” TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EST) on the ABC Television Network.

Ep 4:
A fairytale book. Girl pretends to be the knight saving the princess. Michael, the brother, takes her sword. Peggy's full name is Margaret Elizabeth. Mom tells her she'll have to behave like a lady one of these days.
Peggy and the doc. He misses food. He's numb. She wishes she could help. He's happy she's here. She says it must be very frustrating. You have no idea. He tells her about a neutron reactor. Whitney patented a reactor that can theoretically generate a 1000 times more power.
Ms. Frost gets a box. Something alive in it. A cage of rats.
Jarvis outside Chadwick campaign HQ. Peggy in the car. Whitney isn't here or at work. Peggy says exposing Frost could expose it all. Peggy spots a man with a wounded hand. Like the man she shot.
Car registered to Rufus Hunt. Head of security at the Club. Peggy says we'll have to be creative. Jarvis has an idea. A tranq rifle. For Stark's koala. LOL.
Broxton, OK, 1920. A little girl fixes the radio. Agnes is told to get cleaned up and be sweet to Uncle Bud. He's not my uncle. Mama's boyfriend. He takes Agnes's pencil. Smile for Uncle Bud. She doesn't. Mama tells him to go upstairs. Then tells Agnes to be sweet, wash up, and clean up this mess. Agnes turns the radio up to drown out the sex upstairs.
Whitney now. Picks up a rat. Tries to make the zero matter react and nothing happens. Her husband knocks. Director hasn't been heard from since Tuesday. Chadwick says the photographer called and requested the white dress. For Life Magazine. See you at 6. Don't be late. He leaves. She locks the door and goes back to the rats. This time, she absorbs the poor thing into her hands. The crack on her forehead grows again. She writes down the results.
Jarvis pretends to be police knocking at Hunt's. Hunt gets dressed and runs out back. Peggy shoots him. He doesn't go down. She sticks him with a dart again. They get him in the trunk, and he sticks Jarvis with a dart. Jarvis passes out.
Peggy gets back to the house. Sousa is there. Thompson approved her vacation days. Sousa dug into Whitney Frost. Peggy trying to get rid of him. He notices Jarvis. Then there's clunking in the trunk. Hunt says let me out of here.
Sousa yells at Peggy. you didn't call me for back up. And you kidnapped somebody! She says she was giving him deniability. Sousa wants to help her. Peggy wants to kill Hunt.
Sousa interrogates Hunt. Hunt asks if he got that leg in combat. Hunt says he got tortured by the Japanese. You'll get squat. Sousa leaves him with Peggy. She says we're not going to torture you. Because we don't have time.
Bletchley Park, England, 1940. Girls gossiping. Peggy's engaged! She gets an offer from SOE. Training field agents. She says they don't send women in the field. Yes, they do. Recruiting you. She's an exceptional code breaker. She says she's not meant to be in the field. He says this is a rare chance to strike a blow for king and country. She'll discuss it with her fiance.
Peggy injects Hunt. With Malaria. There is an antidote, but if you refuse to talk....it'll be fatal in 20 minutes. I'll be back in 10. She and Sousa leave. She actually gave Hunt an intense cold. Ha! Cup of tea? LOL.
Broxton, OK, 1928. Mom is yelling at Bud for cheating on her. He's kicking her out of the house now. Agnes still never liked him. Mama shows her a university letter. You're stuck here, same as me. Agnes says she'll get out of here away from you. Mama says this (face) is the only thing that will get you anywhere in this world.
Phone ringing. Whitney is an hour late. She's not feeling well. I won't be able to make it. Life will cancel if you're not involved. She hangs up.
Sousa begs Hunt for a name. Peggy can't tell if he's motivated by strong convictions or spite. Hunt finally fives them two names. I'll never be free again after this! There's no running, no protection. They're in everything! If they can't buy it, they destroy it. I'm already dead. So are you. Storage room at the club. They record their meetings. The Council of Nine. You'll see. It's all on those tapes.
Jarvis and Wilkes. Wilkes sees the chalkboard morphing. Sousa asks for the phone. We're raiding the Arena Club.
SSR prepares to go in. Sousa gives instructions. Sousa gets a call. And men come in. Vernon Masters shows up. War Dept. is auditing this branch's cases. Order straight from DC. Vernon has been dying to talk to Peggy. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Peggy tries to convince Vernon to go after the Arena Club. He says Jack Thompson thinks highly of you. She continues pushing on the Arena Club. And won't give up her source. Vernon wants the name. She refuses. He says a tidal wave is coming and you'll have to work very hard to stay afloat. She says I'll manage. He says maybe so, but your friends could still drown.
Peggy with her older brother and fiance meeting each other. She turned down the spy offer. Fred says that's not our Peg. Michael doesn't seem to agree. Fred goes for a refill. Peggy asks what he thinks. I want you to like him. Michael asks why she turned down the SOE job. He recommended her. She says you should've told me. He says this isn't what you want. You want a life of adventure. She says I've grown up. He asks if Fred is the love of your life. There's still time to change your mind. Don't worry what other people think. You were meant to fight. She leaves.
Sousa apologizes to Peggy. He asks what's the next step? She says save your hide. He says he's in to the end. He kept a sample from the autopsy.
They visit Hunt again. Sousa cuts him loose. On your feet. Move. Council's on to us. Hunt says if you're going to shoot me, do it here. Hunt punches him. Peggy says that went well. Sousa isn't pleased about taking a punch.
Hunt goes to Whitney. Sousa bugged him. Hunt wants a drink before he tells her what happened.
Hampstead 1940. Peggy's wedding day. Her mom is teary. Nope, just a try on. Someone pulls up. Peggy looks out the window. Two soldiers with news. Michael is dead.
Peggy leaves the engagement ring and leaves for the SOE.
Listening to Hunt complaining about the quality of the alcohol. Peggy asks Wilkes if he's okay? Jason says he's exhausted. And he feels like something is pulling him away. It'd be really easy to let go. She says my brother used to say I was meant to fight. I think you're cut from the same cloth. You have to hold on. Sousa sees them. Chadwick gets home.
Hunt tells them Peggy kidnapped him. Tried to kill me. Whitney asks what did you tell her? What? Hunt says she injected me. I thought I was dying. What did you say? She wanted names. Whitney closes the drapes. Chadwick says you'll have to answer to the Council. Hunt says no, you will protect me, or I'll go to the Council, too. Whitney has something to show her husband. Mistakes can be fixed. She grabs him. Zero matter takes him over. Chadwick yells at her to stop.
Signal lost.
Hollywood, 1934. Whitney at a movie theater. But she can't afford it. Ticket girl gives her a freebie. Man says I bet you're pretty when you smile. He's a talent agent. Offers to get her work as a model, or even an actress. She says that sounds interesting. Her name is Agnes Cully. He says you need a name as pretty as you are. That's the beauty of Hollywood - you can be anyone you want.
The black vein spreads down Whitney's cheek. That was me fixing another of your problems. He asks what are you? She says whatever I want.
Next week - Whitney wants an atomic bomb. And she and Peggy fight.
