"Absolution/"Ascension" - It's a showdown a season in the making as S.H.I.E.L.D. takes on Hive, and when his master plan is finally revealed, the team must spring into action. Episode 21:
Maveth. SHIELD pod. Daisy inside it. With Coulson. How long can we survive in here? You always find a way to survive, don't you? She's wearing the cross. She didn't know everyone would come. She'll hack the controls and pilot us back to Earth. he says Daisy, this is Earth.
She wakes in quarantine.
Mack and Lincoln and Yo-Yo in a quinjet. Lincoln gives Mack the kill switch. May says it wasn't designed for this.
Simmons visits Daisy. They only send you. Why? Simmons is the only one Daisy didn't hurt personally. She asks Daisy if she's thought of any pertinent info? Daisy says Hive doesn't divulge. Simmons says they've found a place that's likely.
Warhead is in place and missile armed. Hive asks about SHIELD. Guyera says they fly here and we'll see it.
Quinjet comes through the water and lands cloaked. May opens the bay door. Mack says we're looking for the North side.
Daisy says it's unhackable.
Looking for a code from a general. He tells Talbot he doesn't have them. Fitz tells Coulson where to go.
Coulson in an SUV. Speeding through traffic.
May and Mack's team reaches the spot. Coulson just have to get those codes in time.
Fitx wearing motion capture suit and dots. Standing with Talbot. Talk to Secretary Thomas. Code must be provided in person. Sec. needs the credentials of their operative.
Launch sequence begins.
Coulson arrives. Takes the briefcase.
May and Lincoln in the security system.
Fitz tells Coulson to read it to me. Coulson reads fast.
10 seconds!
Simmons asks Daisy about absolution. She says Hive thinks he's the savior.
Missile launch stopped!
Hive is not happy. Fix this. Bypass this override. Doc says he's not a flight systems engineer. Hive threatens him. Radcliff swears to fix it. Hive wants to show SHIELD rage.
Lincoln watching the video. At least Lash - Andrew didn't die in vain. May tells him not to make us feel better. He says they know where we are. She's off to secure the warhead.
Mack and Yo-Yo. She says he's going too slow. She'd rather die than be anyone's slave. He says it's too dangerous for her. Gives her the cross back. She says it's not a lucky rabbit's foot.
Fitz and Coulson. Simmons says Daisy's awake. He says we have to keep digging.
Radcliff reading a manual. We're going to have to sort this out. Ronald and Ronald 2. Have either of you retained any computer skills, engineering, mechanics? They grab tools.
May enters.
Hive looking for Lincoln. Time we had a heart to heart. Sorry for taking Daisy from you.
Coulson tells Daisy that Fitz entered the kill code in time. She thanks him for the update. he asks about absolution again. She told them everything she knows. Coulson says this is temporary. She gets it. He says no one blames her for this. She says I deserve all of it and belong in this box. Keep your forgiveness and your pity and your friendship. He says you were brainwashed. She says so was Ward. We make the perfect pair.
hive says Daisy loved you. Understand that I gave her true happiness. Comes from belonging. I made Daisy whole. I can do the same for you. We can walk out and find her together. Lincoln says you'll never see Daisy again. Hive says he'll just go into another body.
Coulson says Hive altered your brain like a drug. You're going through withdrawal right now. She wants to feel this pain until she gets revenge. Coulson says vengeance just breaks you further. You'll get better. It just takes time and distance. She says no. Put me in the memory machine. You were already thinking it. He says We did get it out of storage, but it's not for you.
Lincoln's running to Mack. Hive follows. Mack tells them to run. I don't want to have to use these. Yo-Yo completes his work. Told you I'm faster. They activate the device. Hive in pain. This won't kill me! Mack says no, but it'll suck.
Lincoln powering it. He can't hold it much longer. Have we fried his brain? Mack says let's not wait and find out.
James and Guyera get to Hive. Hive is having the memories of Ward and Will and Malick's brother.
Radcliff and the zombies. May arrives. I want that warhead. The Primitives attack her.
Yo-Yo in position. mack says hurry. She's saving the hostages.
Hive in Ward's memories. Guyera says focus. Let us help you. Hive mutters to himself. Fight that weakness inside of you. I want connection. I want connection. to connect we have to disconnect. Disconnect the warhead for absolution. Guyera runs off. James follows.
May fighting. Radcliff asks if SHIELD sent her? Thank God. Take me with you please. Warhead is lifted away by helicopter. May says come on!
Mack and Yo-Yo tell the hostages we have to get away now. Lincoln says she did good. May and Radcliff join. Hive arrives. What did you do to me? mack says the only thing we could think of. Yo-Yo traps him. He's put in gel. Did we just...? We caught Hive! Radcliff cheers. LOL.
Daisy at the window. What's going on?
Brought it to base.
Talbot is happy. Tells Coulson that sending Inhumans seemed super stupid, but well done. Coulson says the warhead is still in play. Talbot is on it. May brings Radcliff. He turned those people into Primitives. He apologizes. I was forced to develop that formula. The process is irreversible. Talbot says solve it, or you'll look like of those mouth-breathers you made. Radcliff understands.
Coulson says we need to find the base and get the jump on his people. Seal the base off. mack has a team fixing the door. Coulson congratulated Lincoln. You'd be a great agent. Lincoln says I have to want it and I don't think I do. Once we're done with Hive, I'm done. Mack asks what will you do? Lincoln doesn't know. Coulson says what about Daisy? Lincoln says I have nothing to offer her that she needs. Mack wants Daisy to know.
We got him. Hive? in a gel matrix chamber. Thought you'd want to know. She says you should be in the module for your own safety. He says you're my partner. She says we're not partners anymore, so leave. He forgives her. She didn't ask for that. He says too bad, I forgive you. She tries to resist being hugged, but he pulls her in. She weeps.
Fitz says Radcliff was way over his head. Simmons says we'll find a cure. he says in a decade or so. What are you working on? She lies. It was supposed to be a surprise. A trip for two. Fitz says how very not you to be romantic. She says that's ridiculous. He says now might not be the best time. Seychelles do look nice. She says we've had enough tragedy. I will do something with you that will take your breath away. Snorkeling! Alert goes off. Fitz picks up the cross. Puts it in his pocket. He'll give it to Yo-Yo.
Daisy says you're a man of faith. So what was it like coming face to face with the Devil? He says he doesn't think Hive is the devil. She says he steals a person's memories. As close to taking the soul as you can get. Mack says he's had his mind controlled. She says it wasn't that. He makes you love him for it. It's not safe. If he got out. He can't be contained. he has to be destroyed. Mack says the devil can fill someone with so much anger and dark thoughts that it consumes them. But it's up to them to make a choice. Let the darkness fester and grow, or let the light shine through and vanquish the darkness. We're safe. Coulson's sealing up the base.
Fitz says the gel is stable. Asks about the hanger door closing. Fitz sees Absolution, Montana on the shipping page. Wait! O'Brian is infected and transformed. Wow, that's super fast. Fitz stares at it.
Sirens. There was an explosion in the hangar. Simmons asks what do we do?
The Primitive attacks men. Fitz beats on the door.
Coulson talks to him. We're going to get you out. Simmons says the lockdown, we can't..... He says the motion sensors! May says we need to do something fast. Simmons gets a theory. Fitz says do that! Door open. Fitz only saves one guy. Thank you, Jemma.
Primitives go to the gel container. And beat on it.
Coulson says that's not good. We have to cut our losses. All we can do.
Hive is out and awake.
Daisy can't believe this is happening. Mack says he wants a way out. She says I told him everything. Including the plans for the Zephyr. Hive has his delivery system now. Mack leaves.
Mack gets to the office. Tells them about the Zephyr. Coulson says we can't get Hive gain control of that ship.
Daisy breaks out.
Yo-Yo wants to go in. Coulson says no.
Hive still shaky. Daisy goes to him. Hey. Hive says sorry, having trouble with memories. She says do you have any idea what you did to me? Hive says yes. I remember. You're in pain. She kneels. Please. Take me back. Hive says your name....something pretty. Not the sky....flower....Daisy. She pleads. He caresses her face, the says he can't. She asks why not? Hive says you're impervious. Sorry, Daisy. She stands. It shakes. Unleashing her rage on him.
Ep 22:
Mack and Lincoln and Coulson and Yo-Yo. Shaking. Was that Daisy?
She keeps attacking Hive.
They tell Coulson that Daisy found a way up. Asks Radcliff what the Primitives are capable of? Radcliff says they are connected to Hive, but no original memories. mack says how long until they find their way through the hangar doors? They hear noises. Primitives in the vents. Coulson gives orders.
Fitz and May in the containment room. Wonder if Daisy can stop Hive.
They're fighting. With and without powers. He says killing me won't make the pain go away. She wants him to suffer. Puts a knife in him. And stabs him again and again. Then her power. He stands up. Bones don't hold me up. I'm held up by all the parts working as one. She gets knocked out.
James found the way here with Guyera. He'll load the warhead in. They'll take Daisy as insurance. Hive will leave the Primitives to destroy SHIELD.
Coulson and Lincoln and Radcliff.
Yo-Yo takes bullets for Mack.
Hive says I can fly this. Fires up the Zephyr.
Team running from the Primitives. Lock themselves in. Mack says they need to get to the armory. He's carrying Yo-Yo, who took a bullet in the gut for him. Lincoln asks where is everyone else?
Simmons alone. Hiding.
Hive gets the Zephyr in the air.
Zephyr in vertical flight. Up to 100,000 feet. James asks how we'll connect to our brother and sisters if we're blown to bits? Hive says we'll escape in the containment module.
Mack asks for light. Radcliff says she's bleeding way too fast. Lincoln needs drugs from the lab. Coulson says we can argue or save her, not both. We have to save her with something in here. Yo-Yo says Mack. Butane torch to cauterize the wound.
Primitives get in the room where Simmons is. Then run off to screams in the distance. She gets an idea about the heat. Fires up the furnace.
Yo-Yo is stabilized. mack says don't take a bullet in the gut for me. She tried to catch them. Radcliff admires Fitz's work with Coulson's hand.
May and Fitz in the Zephyr. Daisy doesn't want to be let out.
Yo-Yo is burning up. Mack says it's hot as hell in here. Radcliff says Simmons is blinding them. 100F and we're free to move around as we please. Radcliff opens the door. Primitive doesn't see him. Runs off. Coulson says he has no idea where he's going. LOL.
Daisy and May. He beat me. My powers are nothing compared to Hive. May doesn't care. I made you an agent. Daisy says I have nothing left. May says then why did Andrew save you. All you can do is do some good. I may not always show it, but... Guyera knocks May out and takes Fitz's gun. Dammit!
Fitz says if you kill me, you'll die. If you shoot me, I can't tell you. It will kill you. Guyera says he swept the plane. Fitz swears he's telling the truth. Guyera says show me. Fitz says we don't want to hurt you if we don't have to. Fitz shoots him with a cloaked gun!! May and Fitz gets in with Daisy. Daisy is shaking. Fitz says the Zephyr isn't designed for high altitude. We should try to keep warm. May says this is as far as we got.
They carry Yo-Yo to Simmons. She says May and Fitz are in the Zephyr. Coulson has a way. In his arm. Remote quinjet is on its way. He'll get them to safety, then take the jet to the Zephyr alone. I won't lose anyone else. Radcliff enjoys the way they do things. Jet pulls up the window.
Hive starting to think clearly. Setting the last of the coordinates now. James isn't happy that the ladies will look like these buggers. LOL. Can we tweak the formula down the road? Hive says tell Guyera to prepare the module. Primitive brings evidence of stowaways. Hive tells James to find them.

Daisy finds the cross in the pocket and remembers her vision. I know what happens next.
Zephyr rising.
Coulson meets Hive. You came alone. Coulson doesn't need anyone else dying for his lack of judgment. Hive says if you blow this plane up, millions will be turned. Coulson will do whatever it takes. Hive says every inhuman has a purpose. Your real mistake is opposing us. You're hiding something. Coulson says yeah. Hive will take Coulson's body. Coulson says sure, you sound just like me. Hive can't wait. We're two sides of the same coin. Coulson says when my team gave the order to stay behind, they just wouldn't listen. I'm just a distraction. It's a hologram!!! Coulson always wanted to do the Help me, Obi-wan Kenobi bit.
James and Lincoln fight. Lincoln shocks him. Meets up with Daisy. Lincoln has a bomb explode on him. They work on fixing him. Simmons says you should be fine, but you have to stay as still as possible. Daisy apologizes. I never meant-- He knows. You weren't yourself. She says I am now. you never came to see me in my cell. He knew she needed time. She asks if she ruined this, us? He says we need to work on ourselves before we talk about us. She says she can't live with what she did. He remembers that pain. She tried to defeat Hive.... He says I know why you went to him. I've been through it. Hit bottom. Be so addicted to something you'd do anything to get her back.
Coulson and team discussing.
Lincoln tells Daisy that Coulson needs your help.
New coordinates for out of space. Get the warhead into space.
Daisy's wearing the cross. Lincoln asks where did you get that? Don't do it. Remembers her vision. Someone will be in that jet with the warhead. Do not go in there. I know what you're thinking. You have to live, okay? Promise me you won't try to atone with some kind of sacrifice?
Coulson says we have to decide who stays and who goes. mack wants to be in the fight. Simmons asks where's Daisy? Lincoln couldn't stop her.
She's climbing up.
Team fights with the Primitives. Hive is here. Primitives down. Hive gone. He's going after Daisy.
She's get the warhead. Hive gets in the jet behind her.
He says it feels like it was meant to be. She says Lash saved me so I could end this. He says SHIELD has you fighting wars again. Lincoln in the pilot seat. He shorted the manual controls. Blows Daisy out and flies away with Hive.
Daisy runs to the comm. Lincoln, do you copy? He's here. He says this is my purpose. I know that now. I was the only one to make sure this worked. She says it was supposed to be me. I saw the future. He says sorry, i stole it from you. He's holding the cross.
She sinks to the floor. Coulson stops the others from speaking. She says this is wrong. Lincoln says saving the world and the girl I love at the same time? Feels pretty right to me. Communication system dying. She weeps. I can't do this. He says here I am. She says I can't just say goodbye. Too much I want to say. Him too. I just did. I tried. Didn't realize it. Moment ago, it's the first time I said I love you. Daisy? Daisy? He's in space. No gravity. Looks back at Hive. Try to sway me if you want, but there's no turning this thing around. Hive can see that. We'll share a connection in death.
Daisy begs Coulson to turn it back. He can't Fitz says the jet can't maneuver in space. She says we have to try. Coulson says he wouldn't want us to. She says he's paying for my mistake. Coulson says no, all our mistakes.
Lincoln got to see the world. Hive says beautiful. Smaller than you imagined. Yeah. I only wanted to make it better. To have a connection. You must feel it already. To sacrifice for them, with all their flaws. Lincoln says they're only human. He closes his eyes and the plane explodes.
Daisy collapses again. Coulson and May exchange a look. Fitz and Simmons. Daisy weeping. So what now?
6 months later. Someone has a news board. Coulson in a room. Mack got sandwiches. Coulson says they're early today. Mack says you should eat. Coulson will, after the meet. Mack says I'm going to eat.
Woman wanted to thank Daisy. I was treated as a pariah back home. The money was too generous. Daisy gives the robin to the little girl. Coulson tells units to move in. Daisy wanted to introduce them to a friend of hers. She's keeping a promise. She leaves. SUVs rush in. Coulson and Mack hurry after her. She gets in an alley and shakes the ground to leap into the air. Coulson says call the director. On the trail again. Where will we go this time? Who knows?
**Coulson's not the director of SHIELD anymore? What?
Plastic box. Dr. Radcliff returns. Fitz couldn't come. Radcliff's name has been cleared. Cracks open a 40 year old bottle. He hoped to bring Fitz and Simmons in. LMD Phase 1 upload. Today's your birthday. He made a body.
