"Beast Interrupted"
CAT AND VINCENT SEARCH FOR THE BEAST BUYER – As Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) hunt for a black market buyer searching for beasts, they have to protect an heiress whose identity was exposed. Cat and Vincent realize how much they have to lose if Vincent’s true identity is revealed. Nina Lisandrello, Austin Basis and Nicole Gale Anderson also star. Episode 2:
Vincent and Cat on a run. He runs off too fast. She yells at him to stop. He does ahead. She says somebody could've seen you. He got distracted - by the bounty. Didn't sleep at all. He's worried about dragging everybody into the whole people chasing me thing again. Cat says they don't know who you are, and I know who I'm married to. My turn to save and pep you. He asks about JT and leads. She's not saying. She'll tell him if there's anything, but go back to work and be normal. She's benching him.
JT can't find stuff in all his boxes. Tess preparing for a new photo at work. He's distracted. She reminds him to find balance in our lives. He's staring at the screen. She reminds him about moving into the new apartment together. He wants that, too, but can't put this on hold, either. He's doing this for us, too. And the bossy blouse is perfect, Captain. The files were downloaded to another computer - someone hacked into DHS.
Vincent bored. Heather visits. What's up? He says Kyle's not in today. She admits she was hoping to run into him. Vincent says he's trying to stay low, stay calm. It's not easy. She can see that. He doesn't want Cat to have to do this all the time. Heather likes Kyle. They've texted. Vincent doesn't like....no, I'm grumpy, so don't take this the wrong way, but this isn't the right time to bring someone into our circle. Nurse knocks and calls Vincent to a bowel blockage. Heh.
Cat and JT. At DHS. Agent comes in. Deputy Secretary Hill. You have to beat the rest of DHS to the punch. Is this about Vincent? JT says he doesn't know what the hacker was specifically after, but the files are heavily encrypted, so it gives us time. Hill says we don't have time. Cat says the chances of this being a coincidence is remote, so if you can give me access... He can't risk it. It's her job to contain this. Understand? He leaves the office. JT wonders now what?
Cat and Tess. Tess complaining. Cat says we have to keep fighting until it's done, that's all. Tess says you can't be happy to be back in this. Am I the only one that wants to move forward? Cat says of course not. But being out with me keeps you from becoming the stuffy captain we always hated. Admit it, you miss this. Tess admits she's happy to be outside, but what are we doing? An office blows up above. Whoa.
Hospital. Press outside. Cat and Tess inside. Controlled explosion. Bootsie Durbridge was the target. Cat needs to talk to her since the hack happened from one of Bootsie's father's hotels. Cat gets in to the room. They were trying to scare you. Vincent enters. Awkward...... Vincent hears her fast heartbeat. She's lying. Cat asks him for a moment outside, please. LOL. JT told him about the hack. She says you need to lay low! He says Bootsie's lying. Cat says we can't be careful enough. You can't be careful enough. He begs to talk to Bootsie. Promises to be careful. Cat finally agrees, but be careful what you say. It'll end up on social media. Cat will follow up with JT. She reminds him to lay low. No glowy eyes!
Photographer tells Tess to smile. Heather arrives. Tess, are you okay? Tess says sure, but... Heather brings up Kyle. Tess and Heather talk about their own issues without listening to each other. LOL.
JT sees no connection. So she might be the target of the hack. DHS had files for a reason, but no idea why. JT says the hackers might not know what they have, but Vincent's still at risk.
Someone injects Bootsie's IV. Then covers her mouth. Nurse sees the alert. Vincent runs in to save her. Fights with the guy. He hits Vincent with a bat. Man goes out the window. Security arrives. Vincent needs to suppress the beast before turning around.
Vincent brings Bootsie to their apartment unconscious. At least I didn't get exposed, right? Cat's expression.....lol.
He checks out Bootsie. The sedative should wear off soon. Cat asks about what she's hiding? Vincent says you can completely trust us. Cat says Bootsie's family is in protective custody. She says the FBI came to her for help. Said yes, and never realized it might get her killed. The hack is looking for the informants.
In the bedroom. Vincent is freaking out. Wants to track the guy from the hospital. Promises Cat he'll be careful. Cat wants him to take Bootsie to JT's first.
She asks Tess for help. Making her look like Bootsie. Tess says I'm the captain, I don't do undercover anymore. Cat tries to convince her. Tess finally agrees.
JT and Bootsie. He wonders who the informants are testifying against. She starts asking questions. What's the deal with Vincent? Who are you people? JT says long story. Her phone goes off. Melody is in NYC. I need to warn her! She hits JT to get away. Sorry, really sorry.
Tess waiting at the meet. 30 minutes late. Cat says there's a black van, 5 o'clock. Man in a hoodie arrives. Man calls and says it's a trap. Paparazzi just saw Bootsie at a club. Tells the man to take out the cop. He gets back in the van. And turns it on. Cat tells Tess to run while she shoots at the van. Tess tackles the man. Arrests him.
Vincent returns and finds JT. Why'd she hit you? JT tells him about Bootsie going to Club Paint. Vincent tells him to call Catherine and leaves.
Cat and Tess at the club. Bootsie is inside. Bad guys enter from the back. Cat and Tess look for Bootsie.
Bootsie finds Melody.
Cat follows. Bootsie taken. Melody on the ground. She says the man has a gun. Bad guys shoot at Cat as they leave. Vincent arrives. Tess comes out. Vincent wants to track them, but the paps show up. Blocked.
Cat and Vincent in the car. Informants are in the hotel, but no idea what rooms. JT says nine witnesses on nine floors. Dominic blows up his enemies. JT gets another call. Vincent tells him to tap into the hotel. Dean Wilson calling about tenure. JT sees a helicopter on the security feed. Calls Vincent back.
They enter the hotel. Clear the hotel now. They head up.
Bootsie forced into the chopper. Vincent grabs it. Keeps it from taking off. Pulls it down. Gets the men from Bootsie. Dominic threatens to blow the building. Cat gets Bootsie away. Vincent tries to talk Dominic down.
Dominic in custody. Tess checks with Vincent. Cat erased the footage from the rooftop. Bootsie is very grateful. I owe you. Bootsie is exposed, so she has to go into hiding. Thanks again. She walks toward the press. Cat says if we're not careful, that could be us some day.
Bootsy on the news. Cat finds Heather at the coffee shop. Heather's annoyed she was out of the loop. Cat feels bad for Bootsy. Heather would feel awful if she was like Melody and got Cat caught. So she agrees it's too risky to bring someone new in. Cat apologizes.
JT deleting files. I'm a genius! Erased the hacked files. Vincent asks are you sure? Positive. What about DHS? JT can't touch them. But the Dep. Sec. will double down on protection after this. JT turned down tenure. Don't tell Tess! Vincent says she'll find out. JT wants to find the right way to tell her. I need to figure out what I was thinking.
Cat comes home. Vincent wants to go for a run. Hello, bare arms. She brought coffee. Says we find the bounty together. Even if you're blurring all over the city. She thinks there's a better way than going in hiding, and we will find it. They're so cute together. "Latte breath."
Next ep - blood sports. Cat has to fight in a cage.
