“The Ties That Bind”
DIAZ AIMS FOR TEAM ARROW AND THEIR FAMILIES — Diaz (guest star Kirk Acevedo) targets Team Arrow and their loved ones. Oliver (Stephen Amell) struggles with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) putting herself in danger when she gets the chance to stop Diaz for good. Episode 22:
Making breakfast. Oliver and William doing breakfast for dinner. Oliver asks Felicity for salt. William leaves the room. What's going on with you? She says we almost lost you and the man that tried to put you in prison is still out there and you're scrambling eggs. He wants to make eggs to have one night that's normal.
Diggle's nerve damage is gone. Doctor tells Lyla to enjoy date night.
Curtis and his boyfriend. Showing him around the tech.
Hockey on TV. Rene and Zoe. When everything settles down, I'll get us the best seats in the house. Anything for my baby!
Dinah on the streets. Canary needs to blow off steam.
Felicity and her mother ate breakfast for dinner all the time. Phone ringing. Oliver gets it. Anatoly. Get out right now! Gunfire through the windows. Oliver gives them instructions to run into the bedroom and lock the door. He attacks the assailants. Stabs a guy with a fork. Then taking out more. Felicity and William hid behind the bed. Are they dead? No. They're down.
John gets a 911.
So does Curtis.
They break into Rene's and start shooting.
Guys find Dinah.
Lyla and John fighting together.
Boyfriend got shot saving Curtis.
Rene fights back.
Dinah says the cool thing about sound waves? They bounce. She scream and takes down the men.
Raisa comes to the apartment. Oliver tied up the men alive. Felicity updates him about the others. Laurel's in the wind. Oliver tells William you'll go in ARGUS custody. Felicity doesn't want to go. This is my fight as much as yours. Oliver tells William I've gone up against terrible people who try to do terrible things and I'm still here. William says doesn't mean you always will be. Oliver says nothing will take me away from you, especially Ricardo Diaz.
They meet at NTA bunker. John and Lyla on the way. Arrow Bunker being destroyed. They arrive. Oliver says Bunkers and equipment can be replaced. It's our families that matter.
Diaz says torch it. Bunker goes up. Feed cuts out.
Dinah tells Rene to have patience. Oliver says we'll make our move carefully and precisely. It ends tonight.
How much can we expect from ARGUS? Lyla says they're not chartered for law enforcement. Curtis arrives. Nick is resting. He'll be okay. We got lucky. Rene says we'll give payback times 10. Oliver says it doesn't matter how much weaponry we have, aggression, motivation. If we keep pressing, we'll lose. He thinks Anatoly is the one move Diaz won't see coming. We'll move on his intel, but until we have it, stand down and trust me. I know that trust won't come easily after all that's happened, but
Oliver and Anatoly meet. Anatoly says SCPD has instructions to kill on sight. They need to get Diaz in transit. Anatoly will think of something to motivate him to move. Oliver says you're risking a lot. Thanks him.
Quadrant woman pacing. I thought we couldn't make the vigilantes into martyrs. Diaz says your attitude is unwanted. She says be careful. You've already given us the city. He says do you suggest I'm replaceable? She says no such thing. And leaves. Anatoly arrives. Diaz says they got lucky. Anatoly says you poked the hive. Bees will be agitated. Diaz says let them come. Anatoly says this place is lovely, but not secure.
Diaz going to SCPD in an hour. Lyla asks once he's in custody, what do you do nest? Oliver says one problem at a time. Get Diaz. Curtis says suit up. For old time's sake.
Diaz and Anatoly in a bulletproof truck. They're paused for construction. Drivers killed. Diaz says get this under control now! Team Arrow attacks. Curtis attacks Diaz. Diaz gets on top and beats on him.
Lyla says SCPRD on the way. Pull out now.
NTA bunker. Almost got him. Curtis resting with Nick. He got lucky. Oliver says Diaz could've killed Curtis, but he went for some necklace. Diaz is very protective of it. Lyla wants to enter SCPD as ARGUS. Oliver finally agrees.
Diaz orders Oliver Queen's head on a spike. Diaz asks the tech kid if he can tell the data is intact without looking at it. Your grandma's life depends on it. Yes, sir. Diaz and Anatoly in an office. he attacks Anatoly. They knew! I was moving. Who could've told them? You and Queen go way back. Anatoly says yes, it's why his betrayal hurt so much. Diaz says if it wasn't you, then who? Anatoly says who brought police to help us? I did not ask for backup. Did you? Diaz asks why would she tip off Queen then drag our asses out of the fire. Doesn't make sense. Anatoly says it does, if she's trying to make your grovel. Seen it many times in Bratva.
Felicity programming a sniffer. He says does this have to be on site? She says if you want it to work, yes. He says you're a parent. She says Lyla is, too. He says Lyla is a soldier. She says that's why she's infiltrating and I'm outside. Do we have a problem here? He says no.
Lyla needs a couple minutes for the transfer to work for Felicity. She appreciates how Lyla and John work so well in the field. Oliver doesn't want me here. Lyla says we always knew our lives were at risk. We realized it's more important to enjoy the time we have together. Also, getting divorced helps.
Lyla asks where can I find your captain? She wants for reports because she's investigation Ricardo Diaz. Don't make me come back with a warrant. Cop says wait here. Sniffer on.

the data is being cloned. Copied. On site.
Lyla has to get out. Now. Cops are surrounding her. Diaz says I've heard you're interested in me. She pulls her guns. Honey, better get in here. Green Arrow and Spartan attack. Felicity goes for the sniffer. Oliver saves her from getting shot by Diaz and they run.
Team happy. Felicity decrypting the info. touch it and the whole drive wipes. Oliver pulls her aside. He says you promised you'd stay put. You promised you wouldn't do anything stupid. Did you calculate how close Diaz came to shooting you in the back of the head? She says we got what we wanted. We could save our city this time around. He says this is why I started working alone again. She says we're married. We're in this together. He's not happy.
Curtis comes to the bunker. Dinah tells him to rest. Curtis says Diaz almost killed my man. She tells him to please don't go about this like I did. You had to talk me down. You're a lot smarter than me. If you don't take it easy, you'll end up in a hospital bed. Go be with Nick.
Tech kid tells Diaz he found where Felicity took the data. Diaz stabs the Quadrant chick in the throat when she protests.
John wants a backup plan. Oliver is open to suggestions. John says figure out what's going on in your head? Oliver says I asked her not to go in the field and she did. I'm changing the rules for her because things have changed. Diaz attacked us in our home during a meal. She split my focus and we could've died. John says you were there for her tonight like she's there as Overwatch. When I talked about you splitting your focus, I didn't mean push away everyone that cares for you. Alarm. Diaz is here with an army.
Diaz says Oliver Queen doesn't make it out alive!
Gas is filling the building. There's one secret stairwell out. Rene says Curtis rigged the building to go. Felicity won't leave until the deencryption is done. Oliver orders everyone else out.
Fighting for the exit. Lyla and John a great team as always. Badass.
5 minutes. She tells Oliver to get out. Coughing from the gas. She begs to try. Oliver says William needs us. I'll find another way. Come on.
Dinah and Rene and John and Lyla outside. Where are Oliver and Felicity?
Heading upstairs. He's carrying her. Diaz finds them. Oliver sets her down. Diaz kicks him down the stairs. And kicks him again. Diaz wearing a gas mask. Love. That's the real painkiller. Oliver sets off the explosives. He and Felicity barely get out the door. The whole place blows.
ARGUS. Sorry about your men, Lyla. Rene wants to see Diaz's body. Lyla says it wasn't there. Dinah asks about the decryption. John says Felicity had to leave it.
Oliver on the phone. We're safe, okay? We're both safe. Felicity says we love you, William. Oliver says bye and hangs up. He says I should've have pushed you away. I should trust you can take care of yourself. She's happy he can still learn things. So what now? He has an idea.
Diaz is cut up. Asked the Quadrant to arrive. The woman wasn't loyal. Are you two? They say this doesn't have to be adversarial. Diaz has realized getting in is not enough. He kills one. Let's try again. We have the resources, the muscle, the connections. All I need is loyalty. The Quadrant's running out of members. Do I have it? The last man shakes his hand.
Oliver says so far Diaz has been unstoppable. I can't stop him on my own. Samanda. She asks if he's speaking as the former mayor or something else. She needs him to say the words. I am the Green Arrow. What's the second thing?
Next ep - finale. Fight for the city. Enough explosives to send us into orbit. Laurel swears to kill. Diaz counting down.
