"Confessions"
ARSENAL RETURNS TO HELP THE TEAM — When they learn of an upcoming attack on the city, Team Arrow calls Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) to help them stop the Ninth Circle. However, things go awry and there is massive collateral damage. As Captain of the SCPD, Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) investigates what happened in an episode that takes on a true crime narrative and tone. Tara Miele directed the episode written by Onalee Hunter Hughes & Emilio Ortega Aldrich (#720). Original airdate 4/29/2019.
Episode 20:
Two fatalities at the metro station. Dinah arrives. Keep those damn reporters back. Led to the bodies. Blunt force trauma. Did they hit anything? Nothing alive. Where are the suspects?
SCPD. Oliver in holding. Start talking. Oliver says this whole thing is ridiculous. The real danger is out there. We stopped a subway terrorist attack. But the real enemies are still out there. Dinah asks about Emiko's involvement there. Oliver and Dinah tell the cop about her and the Ninth Circle. Dinah asks why she didn't know about this mission.
Bunker. Dinah arrives with news. Felicity can't find anything. Dinah says Dante's body was found this morning. John says we have to stop Emiko from using the bioweapon she stole. Felicty says they need a thermal fogger from Aerodyne Industries. Rene stays in the bunker.
Oliver and John at AI. He says our security is top of the line. They hired the world's best to break in. None made it past the front entrance. He keeps telling Oliver that they have this covered.
Dinah agrees it's odd. Oliver says the man was on the take. She asks why they didn't tell her? We have arrows at the crime scene. You were there. And security footage is missing. Cop brings up Oliver's past. Dinah says those guards were savagely beaten to death. Who else was there? Oliver says yes there was. The city was in danger. He made a call.
Arsenal joined the mission.
Dinah interrogating Felicity, who's eating. Cop thinks she's covering for Oliver. Dinah asks about Roy Harper. Felicity says Roy was our ace in the hole. He left 4 years ago and he's been on the straight and narrow ever since. Dinah keeps pushing. Where was Roy after Diaz.
Roy in the bunker. John shakes his hand. Oliver and Felicity greet him, too. She's emotional and rambling. Rene meets him. How's Thea? Roy says she's good. Found her passion. You'd be proud of her. They've destroyed 2 Lazarus Pits. They tell Roy about the new sister. Oliver wants Emiko in custody before telling Thea.
Felicity says Roy was sightseeing. They called him because of the thermal fogger. Jason was dirty. We needed Roy's skills. He's incredible at parkour.
Walls and ceilings are fair game. Anything that's not the floor. Need to get on the other side of the fan. Roy goes higher. Shoots the control panel with an arrow. Target is the red button, second from the left. Roy doesn't have a shot, but he will. Fan off.
Felicity wants cake. Roy made his way into the R&D vault. Emiko's already there with Toth. Roy attacks. She dodges the arrow. Roy fights the Ninth Circle goons. Then the Irishman. Who puts him down long enough to run. We lost the bio weapon.
Dinah says Roy would've committed a felony. Felicity wants pizza. Cop asks about the fatalities. Dinah says tell me what you know. Felicity tells them where they went next.
She and Roy in a control room. Shut down the ventilation path. She says no guards on site. They hear noises. She says Ninth Circle is in the corridor. Go.
She stayed until Oliver gave her the go ahead. Dinah asks about Roy's whereabouts when the guards were killed. She doesn't know where he was.
Roy in custody. Dinah and the cop ask where he's been traveling. Go through his rap sheet. Dinah asks why he came. Roy says you should be going after Emiko. Dinah asks what happened after you failed to stop her. He tells the Felicity came up with possible release points. Subway. He didn't want to leave Felicity. They thought Ninth Circle showed up.
The hoods jumped him. And kept coming. They eventually knocked him out. Took a mace to the face.
When he came to, you were on the scene and the guards were dead. Dinah says that's rather convenient, you being unconscious while 2 men are brutally murdered. She pushes for the truth.
John found Roy unconscious. Before the guards fired. Dinah says you don't have to protect him. You always put other lives before your own. John says Roy Harper is a very good man. Dinah says you have blood on your sleeve. Cop asks him to walk through what happened after you arrived.
John and Rene heading to the ventilation shaft. Emiko shoots an arrow their way. Rene went to chase her.
John found Roy unconscious. Before the gunshots.
Checks Roy. Hears repeat shots. Ran toward the sound. Too late. The men were dead.
What about Rene? Where was he? Dinah asks what did you see? John found Rene when he got to the bodies.

**Like Rene is going to beat 2 random dudes senseless and dead.
Rene in interrogation. How did you cut your hand? When you lost your glove? Rene says it's not his first time being falsely accused of a crime. Sir. Dinah chews him out about trusting Emiko. Tell me what you were doing before that mission tonight. Felicity traced the chemical signature and they went to the subway.
Oliver checking Rene's okay for this mission now Emiko is not redeemable. He wonders why she killed Dante? Family means more to her. She's still your sister. Maybe she's doing this because of what your father did to her. Oliver thinks about that all the time. But people need to take responsibility for their actions. Emiko made her choice. I made mine. You need to make yours.
Dinah keeps pushing Rene. Why were you holding that pipe? He says John went after the bomb and I went after Emiko. Did you catch up to her? No.
He tried to appeal to her. She says I won't spare you again. It's my turn to take everything from the Queens. He says you care about the Glades. You killed Dante. She says Dante wasn't their leader. I am. Rene says your mother would hate what you've become. She shoots and it cuts his hand.
He heard the gunshots. John showed up seconds after I did. Dinah asks what are you not telling us? Someone got to the platform before I did.
Oliver was holding the pipe. He dropped it and Rene picked it up.
Dinah asks to talk to Mr. Queen again.
**Hmm.....Oliver has no reason to kill the men that way. Just like all the rest. But he has way too much to lose.
you didn't tell us the truth. Rene said he found you by the bodies. Cop think they stopped the attack, but you went after a bad guy and the guards got in your way. Dinah asks for the truth this time.
Team Arrow arrives. Separated. Oliver went to the ventilation room. Confronted the Irishman and Ninth Circle hoods. Fought them.
The device is in SCPD custody thanks to us. What happened next? He heard the shots from that room. Went to look.
When I got there, the killer was standing over them. Blood everywhere. You got a good look at who did it. Yeah. Who was it? My sister. Emiko killed those guards.
Oliver released. Mayor agrees on letting team Arrow leave.
Dinah says Pollard bought it. Emiko killed those guards. You're all very good liars. It wasn't easy for Dinah. No, it wasn't. We just risked everything. We all had to agree. This was the only way.
Dinah was with them at the subway. Things happen how we saw them explained so far. Dinah was in the room with Oliver.
Roy fought until he was knocked out, but then he came to and kept going. Fought another hood in the dark. Guards caught him. He hit one twice. Other guard fired. Then Roy beat him! Oliver stopped him. They all ran in and saw. Roy backs against the wall. Rene picks up the pipe. Felicity tells him don't touch that. John checks the men. Dinah says they're dead. John asks what the hell happened here? They wonder what to do. Roy's distraught. Oliver looks in his eyes and says we have to protect him.
**What the hell? Why ever would Roy lose it like that? With the pipe? On security guards wearing GUARD on their vests? Arrow better have a damn good explanation for doing this to the character.
Bunker. We're covering the murder of 2 innocents. Oliver says one goes down, the whole team goes down. Rene says Roy's been gone for months. Oliver says he's just as much a part of this team as anyone else is. Emiko is a murderer and the biggest threat to this city. Felicity says ask Roy what happened. Oliver thinks he already knows.
that wasn't Mirakuru. No. How'd it happen? What? How'd you die? How'd you know? Oliver hasn't seen blood lust like that since Thea was resurrected. To help, I need to know what happened. Thanatos Guild surrounded them. He was hit with an arrow. Doesn't remember much after except seeing them destroy the pit. They controlled the blood lust. Until they didn't. Roy wouldn't have come back if he knew this would happen. Oliver knows he wouldn't hurt anyone like that. But you jeopardized what we've been working on. Roy says I didn't ask you to cover for me. Oliver says you never have to ask. Ever.
Felicity found Emiko. Oliver says We're going after her as a team. Felicity thanks Dinah for wiping the footage. Dinah thought it was Felicity. Hmmm.
At the Ninth Circle base. Oliver has eyes on Emiko. John asks for his location but Oliver is silent. Emiko deliver the security footage to the sergeant. Oliver shoots an arrow but it's at bulletproof glass. Emiko says the Queens deserve retribution and I'll be the cause of both of your deaths and justice will finally be served. She had a chance to warn Robert about the Gambit and she let him die. He didn't deserve the live and neither do you. She blows the building. Oliver runs for cover.
Oliver, do you read? Anyone copy? John? Oliver? Oliver's trapped under a big pile of concrete.
