"From the Ashes" - Out of answers and running out of time, the agents must face the ghosts of their past in order to move forward on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," airing FRIDAY, JULY 26 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. Episode 11:
Zephyr. YoYo is on the floor. Stands. Mack! He's bleeding. They talk about what Izel is searching for. But Mack and YoYo don't know where to go. YoYo says Benson knows about the temples. It was a trick for YoYo. Izel was in Mack. She leaves him and says let's go talk to this Benson.
Piper and Daisy giving orders and wondering where the Zephyr is. Daisy says FitzSimmons will come up with something.
Please tell me you have something. They're trying. Jemma and Fitz pondering how she possesses. Daisy says find out how to prevent her riding someone like a sock puppet. They'll figure it out. Daisy asks about Sarge. May went in to talk. Jemma's scanning him with every spectrum she has. Daisy asks what aren't you saying? Jemma says May thinks he's remembering us.
May and Sarge. He doesn't feel like a different person now he has someone else's face. She asks about the memories. He says it's a sense. A feeling in my bones. You want me to be someone I'm not. She never said that. You didn't have to. She says you can't say there's a part of you that doesn't recognize us? He says I'm not the cure for your loneliness! Slamming a dent in the table.
May and Daisy. May thinks getting through to him is our best shot. But she won't do force. Daisy says why not? There's something inside that can defeat Izel. May says he should be fighting it! Daisy says he's not the man you love. May wishes Coulson was back to remind Daisy of the days May was her SO. You want to force it out of him, go ahead. But we have enough to worry about with Mack and YoYo MIA.
Izel in Mack again. Zephyr landed to meet Benson. Shake hands. He's excited to see the plane. Expected to see more of the team. Mack says the mission is need to know. Benson pulls up what he's researched. Talks about the monoliths being used to open a doorway. Trapped souls yearning to be free. He's narrowed it down to 3 sites. But he thinks it's on ley lines. Prove Keller right. YoYo clues him in by talking about Keller as if he's alive. Mack Izel asks for the location. That's an order. Well. If you've made up your mind. He She stabs the agent in the neck. Leaves Mack. Mack tries to stem the blood flow. So the stories are true. Izel says to Benson let's find this temple, shall we?
Izel just wants the coordinates. YoYo says don't say anything. Izel threatens them. Benson won't end the world. I've lost everything that matters. Death doesn't scare me. She says there must be something you fear.
Daisy visits Sarge. How'd you do it? He doesn't know. Best to leave it that way. She wants to dig deeper. The thing inside you is getting stronger. Are you like Izel? You're the only thing powerful enough to defeat her. Now you have a new way to fight back. Use it. Let the anger out. He wants it gone. She asks if he's scared that it's stronger than he is. Show us what you really are. He says you're enjoying this, aren't you? Got some daddy issues? She says you are nothing to me. Nothing. This manipulative crap is wasting your time. She storms out.
Into the elevator. Back to FitzSimmons. They've got potential weapons to use against Izel. Sword is the same metal used to kill the Shrike. Daisy gave them a clear objective. I'm not going to stab my friend through the heart. Jemma says you don't want to listen to what he has to say. You have a pattern. You walked away. Everything reminded you of Coulson. Now you're facing someone who looks like him. It doesn't do any good to bottle things up. If you need us, we are here.
YoYo and Mack in the Lifeboat. She says you have to be willing to put me in danger, Mack. He came along as a tactical move. He's buying time for the team. Feels good to argue again, doesn't it? Izel enters with the gravitonium ball. Tells Benson about the dialis of creation. She wants to see what it finds in him. Opens the ball. Mack and YoyYo yell to him. Whatever he sees is not real! A man is constructed. Thomas. How did I get here? Benson thought he'd never see him again. Izel smirks.
Daisy in quarters. Letter from a drawer to her. She opens it. Prepares herself to read it. Smiles. Tears up.
Sarge gets another visit from her. The powers, the memories, got stronger after she shot you? He points to the table. This is new. Memories, I always felt them. But now they're in focus. I can see them now. She asks if one he sees is her? He says it doesn't mean anything. I'm nothing. She thinks he is something. Quakes at him. He falls. I want to see it come out.
Waiting for Sarge to wake up. Jemma yells at Daisy over the intercom. Daisy said she tackled the problem head on. I read the letter Coulson left me. It's more clear now that this is not him. She doesn't mind taking the risk. I want to know what he is. Check your scanners and tell me what you see. Energy. He's alive again. They're telling Daisy to get out of there.
Thomas was driving. Seen something in the road. Then darkness. Benson sat with him for days, hoping he'd wake up. Thomas says I know. I heard everything you said. YoYo and Mack yell at him to not listen, it's not real. Thomas says he heard everything. Heard Benson say goodbye. Felt your hand. Smelled the liquor on your breath. Benson says he didn't. No......no......Thomas jerks. Izel stabbed him in the back. It's gone. You can create Thomas again and again. each time will be your fault. Care for a second time? A third? Dying would be a relief now, wouldn't it? But it's not an option. He asks her what she wants to know.
Base. Piper says we have a situation downstairs. Did she quake him to death? May says she's trying to wake what's inside him. Thinks it knows about Izel. Piper thinks this is a very bad idea. May doesn't think Sarge would do what Izel did.
A body forms. Sarge is awake again. Sits up. Stands. Daisy asks if he remembers anything new. He tells her to get out of his way. She wants him to talk. He says I can't stay in this room. She'll snap his neck again. Show me what you are. He uses the power to toss her at the wall. Then he disintegrates the door to leave the room.
**Dusty stuff that kind of floats out him. He kind of disintegrates then reforms his hands.
Daisy returns to FitzSimmons. Grabs the sword. He tells us what he knows about Izel or he dies. She's done pretending Coulson didn't die a year ago.
Mack and YoYo. He admits it wasn't just tactical. She would've come for him, too. Zephyr is changing course. YoYo spots the ball. Izel and Benson return. Benson is sorry. Mack says don't blame yourself. YoYo goes for the ball. Izel enters YoYo. Tosses Mack. And again. Did you really think that would work? Benson leaves in the Lifeboat. Izel says he already told me where to find my temple. Mack says and now he'll tell my team. She says we need hosts when the gateway is open. Let them come.
May wants to come after Daisy. He's tearing the doors off the place trying to get out. Daisy says this is on me. May says you don't have to face him alone. Daisy says you thinking this might be Coulson is why it has to be me. She finds Sarge. Looking for this? He says I'm awake. This is what I am. She says you and Izel are the same. Monsters. He says give me the sword. She says this time I'll actually kill you. He says do it! Kill me, Skye. If it works on me, it'll work on her. The memories are coming back. I'm losing control. End it! You've always been capable of more than you think. Do it! Do it, he pleads. She says you were going to sacrifice yourself. That's what Coulson would've done. He could kill her. She drops the sword. You won't. She hugs him. Crying.
Incan temple. YoYo wakes. She and Mack chained to a stone pole. No sign of SHIELD? Not yet. She says at least the nightmare is over. What is Izel doing? Making her dreams come true. She opens the ball again.
Fitz and Simmons still trying to work the problem. Take amphetamines.....Deke watching the Daisy and Sarge vid. Of course! What is it? Resonant frequencies. That's how her powers work! Disrupt her frequency. It'll create a sonic barrier. We can build a prototype in a couple hours once we have a design.
May tells Piper that the nerds found a solution. Piper tells her what Benson relayed.
Daisy in her room with the letter. May enters. It's good you got through to Sarge. We're going to need him. Daisy asks want to say I told you so? Not really. Daisy didn't want it to be possible. May says you needed to see for yourself. Do you think he can control his powers? Daisy says they're very dangerous, but they might be what we need. Are you sure? Not at all. Daisy says he's looking for somewhere to belong and all Coulson wanted was for us to take care of each other. We do that for Sarge and he'll do the same for us.

Temple. Izel climbing the steps. Mack says this is underwhelming. Izel says the gateway will open to my home. Her people will possess the Shrike hosts. But.... There's no way to complete the ritual without rebuilding the monoliths. You're going to solve it for me. Your minds are going to create them for me. Mack says that's why you need us. Still won't help. Our worst fears have to do with losing the people we love. YoYo says we've already faced that fear and we're still here. Mack says you're not getting anything from us. Izel says then who is that? The kid from the future!
Chronicoms. Hunters want to establish Chronica 3. She will not. But they want a backup. Chronica 2 will be vulnerable. You are the flaw. He shoots her. She's smoking. You have your new targets.
Next ep - The finale. Sarge. Izel. The team fighting to save the world.
