“All’s Well That Ends Well”
IMPENDING DOOM — After capturing a new monster at the school, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) and the Super Squad learn some terrifying news about one of their own. A surprise visit from Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) gives Josie (Kaylee Bryant) some much-needed courage. MG (Quincy Fouse) and Ethan (Leo Howard) team up to help others. Matthew Davis, Aria Shahghasemi and Ben Levin also star. Jeffrey Hunt directed the episode written by Thomas Brandon & Price Peterson (#310). Original airdate 4/15/2021.
Episode 10:
Hope happier in the morning. Today is going to be a good day. Landon brought tea and scones. Are you feeling okay? The happy is unexpected. Hope says she's not going to be in a bad mood today because today is the day she figures out where the monsters are coming from.
Lizzie brought Josie a sweater. You have a crush and you told our father before me. I love you but you have zero game. I'm here to help. Josie begs her to fix it on her own. The regular way without magic. Promise me. Dorian is surprised Lizzie is here. Lizzie tells him it's a crush problem. He says best of luck to you both. Josie says Lizzie was just leaving. Love you! Lizzie spots MG and hides.
MG sits with Ethan in class. Ethan wants to know what's next. MG wants to lay low. Ethan says yesterday was awesome. I want to do it again. Wear a costume and be Blursome. MG says it's a terrible name. Ethan has the police scanner. Skip PE and bring down Mystic Falls vast underworld of petty criminals.
Josie and Finch meet in the hall. Josie is focusing on the now. Making myself open and available to.....whatever. Finch mentions lunch. Josie says she'll be there. Finch says maybe I'll see you. Invisible Lizzie pulls Josie aside, then guides her. You're going to get the girl.
Landon researching the device with Ric. We have to figure out where it originated. Landon says a vampire would look through these books a lot faster than me. Ric says I like your company. Landon asks why the crossbow? Ric admits that Hope asked him to keep on eye on Landon while she tests her theory.
Picnic with Cleo. Hope thinks Malivore wants Cleo. Using you as bait to test the theory. If you're willing. Lower the perimeter spells and pretend we're having a good time. We might actually get some answers. What do you say? Fine..... But why a picnic? Hope figures they may as well enjoy being bait. Light dims and wind kicks up. That didn't take long. Hope brought swords. It might not be as bad as it seems. A shriek. Probably as bad as it seems. Banshee appears. Hope wraps it up. Banshee screams at them. Cleo spells her mouth closed. Now we just have to figure out why the monsters are after Cleo.
Banshee held in a circle in the gym. Landon asks what is she? Hope says no clue. Landon had wendigo in the monster pool. Ric says rookie mistake. It's never a wendigo. Cleo unseals her mouth and banshee screams. How do we get answers without our brains melting?
Lizzie says step 2 is the wanna get out of here moment. Step 3, a non life threatening moment. Step 4, the major moment. Josie wants Finch to actually like her. I'll ask her on a real date. Tonight. Dorian congratulates Lizzie on poking Josie out of her comfort zone.
Jed thought it'd be a wendigo. Cleo tells him it's a banshee. He's still on the junior squad. She's supposed to search for how to get the banshee to speak. But she needs a moment to process the monsters coming after her. Jed gets an idea.
Ethan and MG waiting for trouble. Ethan says we need snacks. Stakeouts involve cheap snacks and coffee. MG says we can hang out without it being a mission. Ethan says it's pretty hard to go back to normal life knowing vampire exist. Maybe there's an evil version of you out there. MG's going to head to class. Ethan likes having something to care about. So, MG stays in the car.
Hope asks Ric what's wrong? Ric says the banshee is a harbinger of death. We have to prepare ourselves for the very real possibility of the banshee saying something we don't want to hear.
Jed being the conduit for the monster to speak. Landon knows what's missing. Hope asks Cleo if she's alright. Landon brings truth weed. Give it to Jed and the banshee can't lie to us. Hope takes the banshee's chain, wraps it around Jed's hand, and says the words. Banshee says Malivore promised her freedom in exchange for Cleo. Why does he want her? Banshee says you force me to tell the truth, but I don't have to answer. This is not the question that troubles you. Go on, little girl. Ask what you want to know. Hope asks who will die? Banshee says there are many possible roads. But if Cleo stays here, Landon dies.
**Well, that's convenient. Exactly the statement that will get Hope to freak out.
Hope has a stack of books in the library. Reading alone. For hours. Cleo brings tea. Hope says no one's dying today. There's always a loophole. Cleo says if you're so confident, why did you spell Landon into his room? We need to talk.
Josie makes it to lunch. Josie rambles that she doesn't want to mess this up. You're hot and also scary. I like you, really like you. So do you want to hang out tonight? Finch can't tonight. Got plans. Josie says tomorrow night, maybe? Finch says that's bad, too. Sorry. And flees.
Cleo cannot be the reason trouble comes into their lives. Cleo used truth weed to make the tea so Hope would confess. And Hope said she'd be okay if Cleo left.
Josie returns to Lizzie. Josie wants to know who Finch is seeing and if it's serious. Lizzie will spy. Go home. I'll find out how serious it is.
Ric knows how to help the banshee. The person you once were is still in there. Tell us why he wants Cleo and we'll set you free. Banshee says the human woman was abandoned by everyone. They fled from her grief. That's when I found her. Humans run from grief like a sickness, afraid they will catch it. It is their nature. Ric says I'm not like everyone else. Banshee says you're out of time. Jed's going to turn soon. Hope comes in. She tried to stop Cleo, but she left. Ric says they need to unlink Jed before he turns. Hope has one more question. Now that Cleo's gone, is Landon safe? Banshee was sent to drive Cleo from their protection. The road brows clear. Cleo dies, too.
Hope looking for Cleo. Landon catches up. You want these when you find her. You don't need a locator spell. You're a wolf.
Jed's changing. Ric gets him in the dungeon. He saw something from the banshee. I think I know her name.
Alarm trip at Mystic Falls High. Happens once a month. Ethan wants to go. MG will check it. You're just a human sidekick.
Girl struggling in the halls. To chain herself up. Finch is a werewolf! Who's there? I can smell you! It's Lizzie. Finch tells her to run. Lizzie does. Locks herself in a classroom. The wolf is breaking in. And then gets distracted. MG opens the door. He tells Lizzie to take the back exit. He'll lure it out front.
MG hears the wolf growling. She's sneaky, though. He tells her to fight her instincts. There's an open school bus. We don't have to hurt each other. She tackles him. Ethan hits her.
Cleo in the dark woods. Wolf howl. The masked guy comes up behind her and blows green stuff in her face. She passes out.
Ric figures out the banshee is from 1014. She says he's too late. Screams. He says I know what happened to your son. Tristan. How old was he when the English took him to fight in their wars? He survived the battle. He's here in a small village. Lived a long time, too. Had children. Grandchildren. One named after her. Ric is so sorry. They shouldn't have left you to grieve alone like that. The demon leaves the woman. He tells her she can sleep now. She knows why Malivore wants Cleo.
The masked guy faces off with Hope's wolf. She turns back into human after he throws his spear. He runs off. Cleo wakes. Thanks her. Nobody's dying today. Let's get you home.
Inside. Hope says it was true how I felt but not the whole truth. You are a kind and brilliant badass and I'm lucky to have you as my friend. this is your home. No matter what. Cleo asks why the thing ran away. Hope says it felt familiar, like I fought it before.
MG and Ethan discuss the werewolf. In the hero base. MG says you're not sidekick material, E. Make another mask. You'll need it, partner. MG will handle the hero names. But what will we do about her? Finch.
Lizzie returns to Josie. finch is....seeing somebody else. It's really serious. You'd just get your heart broken. Lizzie should've let her find out on her own. Sorry. I felt like you didn't need me anymore. Josie's known the feeling. They hug. Can they still cuddle? Yep.
Hope and Landon. All's well that ends well. She says easy for Shakespeare to say. He's dead. Landon set up a night picnic at the lake. Screw fate.
Jed wakes up human. Cleo gives him water. Your plan worked. You underestimate yourself. He thanks her for believing in him. He's never had a genius monster hunting idea until he was standing next to her.
Dorian and Ric. Cleo is a Muse. A witch who's the 7th daughter of a 7th daughter has the power of inspiration. Malivore has a problem to solve.
The masked guy sneaks up on Landon and Hope asleep. Cuts her hair and his with a knife. She wakes right after he's gone.
