"Man of Steel"
DAVID RAMSEY DIRECTS THE EPISODE - Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) struggles to help Jordan (Alex Garfin) who is grappling with a new power. Meanwhile, Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) enlists Clark's help, which leads to a surprise encounter. Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jordan Elsass, Dylan Walsh, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, and Wole Parks also star. Episode 7:
Fortress of Solitude. Clark flies Jordan in. Jordan finally gets relief. Clark turns on the hologram. How do we stop the pain? Until Jordan can control what he hears, every sound will cause pain. Teach him what you know, but it'll take much practice on his part, same as it did for you, Kal-El.
Jordan wearing headphones. Lois will call the principal first thing in the morning. Clark tells Jordan they'll work on this tomorrow. Boys upstairs. Clark hugs Lois. He reassures her about Jordan.
Morning in Smallville. Lana's on the phone with Lois about what to look for at work. Anything out of the ordinary. Invoices, even. Leslie Larr has powers, so it's safe to assume others do, too. Don't do anything that makes you feel remotely unsafe.
Lois found the real Marcus Bridgewater. Two people from Edge have attacked Lois with powers. Clark wants to tell the boys. She doesn't want to terrify them. Johnathan hasn't made any friends. We need to know more of what we're dealing with, then we'll talk. She's off to confront the fake Marcus.
Edge worries about the problems. Leslie, no more failures. Lana was about to knock at the office. Edge wants her to create a leadership program. People looking to take the next step to achieving their best selves. He's expecting great things from her.
Clark working with Jordan to focus on one sound at a time. The faucet dripping water. But it's deafening. He quits. We'll try tomorrow.
Luthor working on his AI ball. Knock on the trailer. Lois. Hello, guy who is not Marcus Bridgewater. She doesn't want to enter his creeper-mobile. Tells him to meet her in an hour with the truth, or this team-up is done.
He flashes back to the Lois that was his wife. They had a daughter! A teenage daughter and a happy life. Until Superman started attacking the city with other Kryptonians. The black-suited Kryptonians saw into buildings with their laser eyes. Captain Luthor and family are horrified.
**So, what infected that world's Clark? Superman didn't start evil there.
Jordan sets a book aside and walks to the clock on the mantel. Exposes himself to the noise. And it's too much again. He hears everything around town.
High school. John asks Sarah if she's alright. She wants to know why Jordan isn't at school. You know what happened with Tag. John says Jordan had nothing to do with that. Jordan's not at school because Tag jumped him the other day and he's having terrible headaches. She wonders why he didn't tell her. John says he didn't want to worry you? Oh, and I broke my wrist, thanks for asking.
He walks off.
Clark outside when Lois goes to her meeting. Luthor orders her drink she got last time. She says you've been lying since we first met. He says the name, yes, but everything else was true.
Clark enters the trailer. AI says welcome back, Captain. Captain Luthor.
He says Edge will assemble an army and take down Metropolis. Lois gets a call from Chrissy. Edge is sending a shipment out. Luthor wants to speak with Superman.
AL tells Luthor there was an intruder. She captured an image. Lois's husband. He's not important. The mines have increased activity. He wants more info.
Lana sits with a woman about the young executive program. The lady really wants this to make a better life for her family. Asking someone to take a chance on her. Lana says I'll see what I can do. But no promises. Her friend thanks her. Poor Lana trying to fake it in front of Edge.
Clark and Lois in the truck discussing that this may be Lex Luthor or related to him. Clark x-rays the van ahead that's transporting the X-Kryptonite. He looks further and sees Luthor's at the other end of the road blocking it with his RV and standing there armed.
Clark wants to intervene. Truck stops in front of Luthor. He demands the driver get out and on his knees.
Leslie gets a call.
Luthor cuffs the driver. Lois and Clark arrive. Luthor blows the truck doors on the back. Luthor pulls the X out. Lois says enough games! Tell us what you know! Leslie is listening.
Girl flirts with John. Nothing good ever comes from anger. I'll see you around, new guy. Sarah says no, she's way out of your league. She came to apologize. She's worried about Tag. You and Jordan are the only ones to know what really happened.
Jordan tries managing his hearing again. It's not going well. He looks at a photo on his phone and tries to concentrate. Hears Sarah and John talking.
He says you're more real than others here. If you need someone to share that with, I'm here.
Jordan gets upset and punches his wall.
Leslie listening. Luthor says they need to be ready for what Edge does next.
Lois reporting live in the other universe.
Luthor pushes for a meeting with Superman.
Other Lois tells people the Kryptonians have a weakness. The green rock from their planet. He and the daughter watching her on TV.
Do you trust Superman? With my life.
Lois is killed by the other Superman on live TV while her family watches. Luthor pulled his daughter into his body to hide her eyes.
Luthor thought she'd say that. Hands over the X. Set up the meet.
Lois and Clark return to town. Take the X to the DoD for processing. Has Luthor's prints. She goes in the Gazette.
Luthor preparing for his meeting with Kal-El. And his daughter is with him! In this world? Or....In their original world. They worked together to make a resistance.
Luthor powers up a glove.
His armor was built by him and his daughter. Think you can take one of em out? Only one way to know for sure.
John returns home from school. Jordan asks what he was talking to Sarah about. You were spying on me? Wow. John says I've had your back EVERY TIME. Jordan gets overwhelmed by John yelling.
Lana and Edge. He asks if there's something she's not telling. Like Kyle. She says it'd be a lot to juggle with our girls.
Chrissy says this guy is not on the Luthor tree.
Superman arrives in the warehouse to meet with Luthor. Building is a noble profession. He says the world is about to be destroyed unless I save it.
Lois gets called by DoD.
Luthor says Edge won't be the major source of destruction. Who will? I think you know, Kal-El. Said in KRYPTONIAN. You're the Stranger.
Lois hears that he's John Henry Irons. Prints from a guy that died 6 years ago. She takes Chrissy's keys to hurry to Clark.
Irons turns on radiation to weaken Superman. Why are you doing this? You're not the man of steel. I am. Steel calls his hammer to his hand.
**Hammer flew to him like Thor's does.
Irons hits him with the hammer, spinning Superman. The hammer harnesses kinetic energy. 20 feet, it can stop a car. 60 feet, destroys a tank. Throws it into Superman's chest.
Leslie listening. Superman's busy for a while. Send the shipment.
Jordan hearing. Someone's trying to kill Dad!
Lois trying to yell to Clark.
John and Jordan in a vehicle to go to Dad. That way!
This hero act of yours is all propaganda. Softening the masses! I made a promise to kill you once. I couldn't do it on my Earth, but I will here. John drives the truck into Irons. He flies back. John destroys the lights. Superman stands up. Eyes glow. Irons terrified. Lois runs in. Stop! It's over. It's over. Superman releases Irons.
DoD. Superman tells them no one talks to Irons until General Lane gets here in the morning. When he does, I'm going in first.
Lana gets a visit. Emily got a call from Edge. She got the job! Brought a thank you gift basket.
Leslie tells Edge that X arrived at the facility. Ready to move forward. Edge found subject to be hosts. She's the only one to not show rejection. Guess you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.
Clark and Lois on the porch. She's feeling guilty. There's more he's not telling us. Clark says John Henry Irons is not going anywhere until we know. She says he's right - we're not protecting the boys by keeping things from them. They need to know everything.
Jordan apologizes to John. I'm sorry you have to lie for me all the time. John says I sort of told the truth, which feels worse. Jordan wishes it goes back to normal. All the secrets. Tonight is the most scared I've been in my life. John said but pretty awesome. Clark thanks them for saving his life. We've taught you not to keep secrets from us, so we're not keeping secrets from you. Nothing we tell you leaves this house. Ever! Understood? Yes. So what was with that guy tonight?
Irons tells his daughter we found Kal-El. It doesn't matter who the AI thinks is in the suit. It has to be now. This is our one chance to end it. She doesn't want anything to happen to him. He says he'll end it and come right back. Forged in fire, strong as steel. I love you, Dad. I love you, too, Nat-Bug, more than anything in this world. I'm going to be right back. He hugs her and leaves. I promise. She's in a bunker.
Irons fingers the bracelet on his wrist in his cell.
Next ep - Our Superman would never turns on us! But Irons says what happened on my world is already happening on this one.
