YOLANDA FACES HER PAST — When the guilt over Brainwave’s (guest star Christopher James Baker) death becomes too much to handle, Yolanda (Yvette Monreal) is forced to make a heartbreaking decision. Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson, Amy Smart, Cameron Gellman, Anjelika Washington, Trae Romano, and Hunter Sansone also star. Sheelin Choksey directed the episode written by Robbie Hyne (#207). Episode 7:


Bell ringing. Thunder.

Yolanda in the church. Waiting for confession. Would you like to talk today, my child, or just sit? She thinks she wants to talk. Is the Devil real? I think I've seen him. Priest asks what did the Devil make you do? She says it isn't about me. Something terrible has happened. God isn't here on Earth to stop the Devil, so shouldn't we? Or more people will get hurt. If I kill something truly evil, can I ever be forgiven? Yolanda gets the migraine and images again. Remembering Henry and his father dying. The Devil is real and he's in Blue Valley. She leaves the confessional.

July 3rd. Truck decorated for the 4th goes by. Townsfolk putting decorations on buildings.

the staff is glowing again, but it's still so weak. Courtney worried. He killed Cindy and Isaac right in front of us. Maybe The Shade, too. Pat says nothing in the news since then. She says nothing reported. Pat says the weather has gotten worse. She wonders why Eclipso is still here. What could Blue Valley mean to Eclipso?

American Dream board meeting. We can't go bankrupt saving everyone else. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Barbara suggests liquidating back stock. Create cash flow. Jordan Mahkent wouldn't have given up on Oakville. They vote and the majority is with Barbara. Meeting adjourned. Barbara looks at Jordan's painting on the wall. Then hears a voice behind her. The Shade! Black cloud drips on the floor. She touches the wetness.

Richie Rock's Diner. Yolanda at work. Distracted. Other waitress asks if she's okay. Covers for Yolanda. Grumpy Joe is a jerk. Eclipso purple glow in her eye! She pours hot coffee on Joe's shoulder. He yelps in pain. She's told to go home even though she needs to work. Yolanda calls for Maria and she keeps going. Then sees a little boy. The Eclipso little boy! She gives him a blue raspberry lollipop. When she turns away, he's gone.

Courtney on the phone with Beth. Summer's not summer. Trees are bare in July. Beth hasn't reached Dr. McNyder. I'm not sure what's real anymore. Courtney agrees. Keep looking. Stay safe.

Cameron surprises Courtney and she puts him against the wall. He asks if she'd like to help decorating for 4th of July. She shoots a brief text. He says if you have to go, it's fine...... She says no. I'm exactly where I need to be right now.

Pat looking at STRIPE with Mike. Where do you want to start first? Lugnuts. The importance of patience.

Yolanda leaves the diner. Hears Brainwave again. Gets the headache. Starts to text Courtney, then sees her having fun across the street and walks.

She's back in front of the church. Bells ringing. She turns to enter again. Priest is sitting with a woman. Yolanda's mom. He says Yolanda needs love and support. You've had enough judgment this past year. Door opens? She runs after ...... nothing.

Blue Valley High School. Substitute for summer school teaching. He lost the lesson plan. Courtney staring at her phone. Yolanda getting texts from Henry. She sees him outside the classroom and goes to him. No one else seems to notice she left! She follows. Then the migraine. There's a trail to follow. Sees Henry again. He's in the cafeteria. Henry? He turns. Henry, how? He says You never forgave me. I'm in a bad place because of that, because of you. I'm burning. She says no, I forgive you. He says my father will never forgive you. She screams at the pain in her head. Then Brainwave appears. I'm with you forever. She screams.

Then she's back in the classroom. Everyone staring. Yolanda, you okay? She runs out.

Courtney and Yolanda in the hall. She says I see Brainwave and Henry. It's been going on long before Eclipso. This is my punishment. Courtney asks her to explain. Yolanda says you don't get it. You never had to make a choice like I did. Courtney says let's talk to Rick and Beth. They love you. They'll understand. Then we can face this as a team.

Mike pulling on a big wrench. Pat says this job is about preparation for when it's needed. Being prepared is all we can do. Zeke's dropping off parts, so I'll be out front. Keep on wrenching, pal. Mike struggling to move it. Then there's a distraction. The cloth holding the pieces of the Diamond. He picks up a shard. Dad? Mike keeps looking at it. Sets a piece down and it crawls to the rest. Sets it farther away and it slides on the table. Cool. Mike picks up another piece and he's infected! It's like there are leeches on him! Pat returns and grabs him. There were leeches on my arm ... It's okay... Hey, don't touch those. Ever. Alright? Why do you still have them? The Diamond was Eclipso's only weakness before. I hope it still is.

Courtney's house. Rick asks why they're meeting here. Yolanda doesn't know if she can do this. Beth asks what's going on? Yolanda admits she killed Brainwave. What? I thought he died when the tunnels caved in. Yolanda says Brainwave made himself look like Henry. But I knew it wasn't him. So I used my claws and I watched him die. Rick would've killed him, too, if he had the chance. Yolanda asks why he didn't kill Solomon Grundy? My hour was up. Was it? Or did you let him go because you're a better person than me. Rick says you did what you needed to do for the team. Right, Beth? Beth doesn't know. I'm sorry. Yolanda says none of you are capable of doing what I did. We'll have to kill Eclipso. You or you or you? No. And I don't want you to. I don't want you to carry that guilt. I don't want you to be a killer in God's eye. I'll have to kill Eclipso to save the rest of you! I'm going to have to be the JSA member that kills. Yolanda runs out. Beth apologizes.

The church. The confessional. Yolanda waits for the priest. She's weeping. She confesses she murdered someone. Father Thomas.... Brainwave is there now. Says she's guilty for the death of Henry. She leaves the confessional and Brainwave tosses her. Stalks her. Prevents her from escaping. While my body died and you were gloating, standing over me, I sent my mind into yours. I'm a part of you now. I know how much you hate yourself, Yolanda. I've drowned in your self-loathing for months. It makes you weak. I'll live again. Brainwave will live again through you. Taking control of your mind will be sweet. Courtney arrives. Yolanda sees Brainwave attack her. Then Yolanda is in her Wildcat suit and she slashes Brainwave's throat. Then sees Henry dying. You're going to burn with me. He's consumed in flame. Courtney arrives and uses the staff to bring Yolanda out of it. Yolanda says it's never going to be okay. You couldn't leave me alone! Tell me, Courtney. Why did you do it? Why did you choose me? I wasn't supposed to be Wildcat! I wasn't supposed to hurt anyone! I'm never putting on that costume again. I quit. She runs away.

Courtney looks at a photo of her and Yolanda. Who isn't answering calls or texts. Courtney tries another call. Mrs. Montez answers. Yolanda doesn't want to talk to you. Is she okay? It's your influence that's corrupted my daughter. I know it. Stop. Calling.

Maria the waitress on the phone told Yolanda is quitting. Mrs. Montez hangs up after sharing the info.

Family table. Courtney apologizes for not telling them about Brainwave. It didn't feel like it was my secret to tell. Now I think that was a mistake. Barbara says I'm sure she didn't have a choice. Courtney wishes she knew how to help Yolanda. Mike says I didn't mean to kill Icicle. It was an accident. Parents know. Courtney asks about The Shade. Barbara doesn't know what she saw.

Beth trying to sleep. Something is outside her house - It's the Eclipso creepy boy!
